Can I sit here?
James mom had walked him down to the platform. He was unsure where it was. He saw 9 and 10 but no 9 3/4. He looked confused. The only thing in between platform nine and platform ten was a column made or brick. He looked up to his mother who had brought him here. It was a shame his father couldn't be there. But he was a muggle and had a job. Of course his father knew about their magic and was alright with it. He wished James the best of luck and ruffled his already naturally mess of hair.
His mother pointed over to another child. James looked at them. They were looking at the column then ran straight into it and...disappeared? James looked horrified. Where did they child go? His mother explained to him that he had to do that as well. James looked at her again still wearing his horrified expression. She laughed and walked him over holding onto his trunk.
"Alright honey, On the count of three we run together okay?" James nodded.
"one...two...three!" Both he and his mother ran through the column. James looked up expecting to have crashed into it. He opened his eyes and looked around in awe. He looked to his mom excitedly. "Hurry, Get on the train. I'll see you when break starts. Make sure you write me when you get there? Okay?" James nodded before kissing his mother on the cheek goodbye and hurrying onto the train.
He walked through the compartments looking for one that was empty. Or at lease not to crowded. James wanted a quiet one but didn't want to sit by himself on his first time. He continued looking before coming across a boy sitting by himself. "Uhm Hi...Is it okay if I sit here with you?" James asked him nervously. He hoped the boy said yes, he looked nice. If not then he would end up having to sit alone.

Grasping a suitcase that he had packed the night before, Galahad made his way to the platform. It had been his parents who had brought him to the station. Despite all his efforts, Galahad was still pretty anxious. His parents made sure the journey was safe and filled with words of encouragement. A new school, a magical one at that? It was too good to be true, surely this couldn't be real. Ultimately, the auburn-haired male insisted he could walk the remaining distance, and both of his parents hugged him tightly before letting him continue. With that Galahad proceeded to start looking around, he had found platform 9, but where was 9 3/4?
A few children were seen disappearing out of thin air after running into a wall, answering his question. In a hesitant manner, Galahad reached out to the wall, placing a hand on it. Furrowing his brows as it felt like a simple stone wall. The young man glanced around while taking a few steps back, as he prayed for whatever unworldly being existed that might have some kind of mercy on him for what he was about to do. Finally, he bolted towards the wall, squeezing his eyes shut as ran into it. A sharp gasp escaped his lips as he phased through the stone wall. He stopped in his tracks once he stumbled out, looking around as he spotted the Hogwarts express almost instantly. A laugh of relief escaped his lips as he looked at his hands, his olive-colored eyes filled with relief, before hurrying off to enter the train.
Galahad entered an empty compartment, slumping into the window seat as he felt relieved that he made it. Staring at the ceiling of the train presented him with a wide grin as he remarked, "This is real, it's all real." He could feel chills running down his spine. Weeks of worrying about whether or not this wasn't just some prank made the male feel a tad relieved. He must've looked crazy at that moment, yet he didn't care he was too overjoyed to care about his current appearance.
Taking a glance at the male who had asked to sit with him, he nudged his head a little, smiling a little. "Of course, it's not like anyone else is sitting here. Make yourself comfortable." His olive-colored eyes watched the other as he took a seat, sitting up to be respectful as he began to speak. "My name is Galahad Damaris, what's yours? Are you also a first-year here, or have you already attended this school before?" He offered a welcoming smile, trying to keep his mind off of any worries at that moment. He was looking for a way to keep a decent conversation, unsure as to how awkward he himself was coming off as.
