Extressia looks at the cases with the trophies of those she never even knew the names of till today. She doesn't quite remember how she got here, how she found the path to this somewhat mysterious room in her eyes. Though it was clear that this was a trophy room, something about it felt like a monster's mouth, full of bones of the past. She shivered at the comparison, but more of an acknowledgment she made.
As she look at the trophies, she wished she could see any of the people and say her congratulation, and ask how they got so amazing, and how she could be amazing too. If she was, maybe Extressia wouldn't have to try so hard to gain likeness from everyone, because she would already have it for her. But how could she be amazing, when she was just a first-year who like puppetry and animal.
Sighing in insecurity, she kept walking around the place, not sure what to do. She has nothing to do, so might as well imagine what the name of the people in these trophies thought when they achieve this. The trophies that usually caught her attention the most were the quidditch trophies, it seemed like a fun sport. Maybe she would try it one day?

It wasn't every day that Sylvain visited the trophy room, but today was going a bit sluggish and as always there were exceptions to the routine. In between classes and without much else to do he needed just a little pick me up or he was going to crash before quidditch practice. Usually chocolate did exactly the trick, but he was trying to stay in shape by watching what he ate, so a reminder of his most recent quidditch win was exactly the kind of attitude adjustment he thought he needed to keep himself on track.

When he entered the room, he hadn't expected to introduce himself to someone new. Of course he wasn't shocked so much as wary. Strangers had potential to be dangerous, even here. As she sighed, pacing about the place, he quickly picked up on her vibe. He couldn't help but wonder if she was lost and confused. "Excuse me?" He said gingerly at first, trying his best not to alarm her. He has the ability calming presence if that matters to you "Are you lost, do you need help?" He would enter the room proper, sidling his way towards the trophy case.

Remembering his manners, he give himself a steadying breath as he stepped forward to present himself. He would try to give her a handshake. "M'name's Sylvain Wyllt, what's yours?" He would hold his hand outstretched until she either rejected or accepted it. "You look lost, can I help you?"

Extressia didn't expect someone to be here but gingerly accept his handshake. "My name Extressia, and I am not lost exactly. I don't know how I got here but I don't need help." She nervously stuttered through her words, she really thought she was going to be alone. "I was just admiring the trophy room, I only ever glance at this room before, and since taking a turn here I thought why not?"
She moved toward a random quidditch cup, and without looking at it pointed with an open hand.
"Like this cup, honoring the winner of the game, I wouldn't have known them at all, but since their accomplishment had been engraved in this cup, they are in my memory now, probably even celebrated by others for some time. Truth is I want people to like me like they probably did to this kid, maybe even for the short-term." Panic in her eyes as she realized she probably was saying too much, she nervously walk around the trophy room, occasionally glancing at the minimalist decor but mostly settling her eye at Sylvain.
"I don't want you to burden by my stuff so ignore that please, people well more like Astrid, don't ask who that is, say I talk too much about myself, and I don't want that because it could- Ahhh." Before she could finish her sentence, she tripped herself and crash onto one of the trophies, cracking it glass and the foundation onto the floor. "No no no." Extressia cried.

His hand returning to his side, Sylvain would nod as Extressia spoke in order to show he was listening to her. The nervous stutter to her words lent credibility to his initial impression, but when she informed him she had come to admire the trophies, he couldn't help but feel like there was more to her story than that. He simply replied politely, "Oh, same as me then."

Looking to where she guided his attention, he slowly began to understand why she was coming off so lost. She didn't feel like she was being admired by anyone. As the panic became obvious in her eyes, Sylvain suppressed a chuckle, it couldn't help her in the slightest if she though he was mocking her for feeling insecure. Sylvain began to put his hands up, hoping to comfort her by expressing that he didn't feel the way she thought he did, and that all she needed was to slow down, but then....

CRAAAASH!!!

She had tripped into the trophy case. "Here, you need my help," he said while gently offering to help her to her feet. Feel free not to accept this help if you still don't want it Giving her a once over, he reassured her that she was going to be just fine. "You don't look injured to me. You're okay." He would then turn to the trophy case, the glass having been broken by the shelf tipping over and crashing to the ground. Extressia was really lucky not to have been injured. "We're not really supposed to do this but..."

Sylvain produced his wand, waving the proper sigil in the air as he commanded "reh-PAH-roh." In short order, the shelf reassembled itself, and any trace of the damage was undone. "There, all better. Nobody will be the wiser." Turning to face her again, Sylvain smiled his usual slight smile, barely raising the corners of his mouth and squeezing his eyes tightly closed before opening them again. He started to ask about what she meant by "Don't ask who that is," but thought best to put the whole thing behind them.

"Have you thought about joining one of your house teams?" He asked, changing the subject. "Don't you think that'd be a good way to get a trophy of your own?"

Interacting with @Sylvain Wyllt
Extressia should have exploded. She always dealt with negative emotions and frankly a mess, the feeling always lingered around her, even in her happy moment. Nervousness, desperation, anger at herself. It was hard to fully let go of your actions and the possibility that all your actions have consequences you didn't want other people to suffer. Breaking that trophy somehow felt it should have been a boiling point. Destroying a part of this magical school's history, a school her mother secretly but not secretly didn't want her to attend, the feeling that she failed this random person by breaking their prize, and just the shock of tripping into the trophy, it noises still quietly vibrant from her ear.
But then before the storm could take over before she could break down, a wave of relaxing aura swept her into its heartwarming hug. She looks at Sylvain, who was holding his hand out for her, she could feel it, and maybe it was delusion but she could faintly see it, something about his aura somehow felt relaxing. And that's where her mind sorta went auto-pilot, it was full of stress and shock that when Sylvain's aura that most likely was magical came in a bit forcefully and in full impact, her brain couldn't take this new calmness it was feeling, and also the fact that while it has relaxed and diminishes her negative emotion by a ton, her shock was still very much there. So she stood up without Sylvain and robotically move next to him as he help fix the trophy case.
"It's good that we have magic or I could get in trouble," she said robotically. When Sylvain suggest the house team, Extressia answered in a friendly yet automated tone: "I thought of joining, but maybe next year, it is already May I forgot to mention it May IC sorry, I like a trophy. I also like your aura, it's nice." Finishing all she wants to say, Extressia's leg suddenly felt wobbly like jelly, and without warning plop down to sit on the floor, all the same still looking at Sylvain with a half-dazed look.

Since we didn't discuss the forward dating stuff, and I didn't agree to it, I'm going to continue on as though you said April. This shouldn't affect our roleplay much otherwise.

Sometimes, even when somebody tries their best to help someone, intentions don't matter. That was very much how Sylvain felt. He had been trying to help himself previously, but upon finding Extressia, he couldn't help but try to fix whatever was causing her issues. It was this feeling, stuck at the back of his head that he struggled with, and to be quite frank, he was having trouble processing it himself. "Uh, we might still get in trouble," he said, awkwardly grimacing as she stood from her spot on the floor, refusing his kind offer to be helped.

"Rule #8, Magic should only be used in relation to studies and extra-curricular activities or with permission." He should know better, having been a prefect himself once, but then cleaning up a little mess made by an accident was hardly the kind of thing that got a student in trouble. Still not all prefects were kind. Some might like to punish them even though what he had done was out of kindness. "We really shouldn't stick around here for too long." He would sigh, his magic having taken a little of the wind out of him. He had broken rules before several times actually, but of all the rules he'd broken, this was a first for #8.

She still looked dazed and confused. As if something was still wrong, even though he had done his best to try to help her. Usually when the folks that Syl helped spoke to him, and he listened to their troubles, they seemed almost as if their worries and fears were put to rest. Like their guard came down a bit knowing someone who cared had their back. It wasn't as much a tangible aura of emotionlessness as it was the reassuring presence of someone who cared. This calming presence of his is what made him feel like he contributed to the community when he was helping someone.

"Don't look so glum," he said after realizing that she was probably still upset about earning her place among her peers. "It might be April, but there's always next year. I could introduce you to the captains, they're good people." Did he know them? Ah, even if they changed by then it would only take a few questions and he'd be certain to have their attention. "At least, that is, if you wanted me to?" And he asked because at this point, it seemed like all she wanted to do was stare at her own reflection in the trophies. Live in the fantasy of having achieved those accolades without having to struggle to earn them along the way. That was the exact opposite of why he had come here in the first place. He had wanted to be reminded of what he had already earned.

Looking at his house's own trophy behind the glass, Sylvain's expression changed to a smile. Pride wasn't just something he felt whenever he looked at his reflection in the trophy, but something he had held onto while working for it. He then looked to Extressia. "You should go and see the nurse," he wasn't about to just take no for an answer this time around. They had classes to get to and he wasn't going to just let her traipse around the castle @(a castle full of stairwells mind you) without first having given her his two pence. "I mean it Extressia, there could be something's seriously wrong with you if you're tripping and falling when you don't mean to."

He had seen plenty of horrors in his time at Hogwarts. Children on fire, friends wrapped up in acromantula webs, stones that poked holes in your feet, vines that strangled and choked, spider-shadows, centipede shadows, hell he'd even burned down the forbidden forest this past summer to save his housemates after they went trying to save Vladimir. All of this experience led him to arrive at the conclusion that the mental health of his peers still scared him more so than all of the above combined. To muster up his courage, he stoked the ember of his bravery while it smoldered deep down inside of him and spoke with a bit more of a commanding tone than he usually would. "Come on, Extressia. We can go now."
