It is nice to hear from you, Sophia! I take it you have found the owlery at Hogwarts. I did not think it would take you too long, you seemed to be quite interested in it on the train. How are things going for you? If we had been in the same House, I would have looked out for you in the common room. As it is, we are in two different Houses, so unfortunately that will no longer be possible for us.

What a shame.

I hope you are doing well. How are you faring with the homework?

You can pass notes during class. The worst that could happen would be that you would get detention. People do not usually cast spells on students just for acting up in class. So you do not need to be worried about that, we are not animals after all! But if you are still a bit worried about it, do not forget we do have lunch time and free time between classes. You can do whatever you wish during that time.

Also, if you want to meet up at a certain location at a certain time, you can always send an owl with your message. Have you looked into any clubs to join yet? There are a variety of them offered here at Hogwarts. I've only recently found out about them and am dying to try them all. Well, maybe not all but a good deal of them! You can never have too much knowledge. I love to learn about things, regardless.

Unless it has to do with heights.

I avoid those and anything having to do with them because I cannot handle them.

Ah, yes. Flying class. I have to confess, I skipped the first class because I did not want to embarrass myself. And I was debating about skipping the second class today too, but didn't want to lose my House points for a double absence. Or get a bad grade for the sole reason being that I didn't show up to the class. I went earlier today and it was a disaster. I am not telling you what happened during that time.

Unfortunately, someone saw me there. He looked older than me and from Slytherin. I'm not entirely sure who he is but am curious about getting to know him more. Preferably not at the same location and without flying class involved in the process. Anyway back to you! So, you are afraid of heights too? Right, I vaguely seem to recall you saying something along those lines back in Transfiguration.

I like all my classes so far, with the exception of Flying Class. You can always benefit from learning new things, no matter what they might be.

I am glad to be of service and look forward to spending more time with you. I think I've seen that owl before. She likes being scratched a lot and will hoot if you do it in just the right place. Also, as much as I like writing letters, I dislike the fact that the owlery is located at the top of a high tower. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't open to the outside. You can't help but look over when the wind blows.

And then you experience a surge of panic.

Well, I do at least.

Anyway, I must take off, I need to finish up some homework. I like doing it ahead of time, as soon as possible, that way I'm not rushed later on.
