After classes on March 16th, 2022
"I have to go," her brother told her, clearly feeling bad to leave his little sister alone on her birthday. Elizaveta looked at her brother with a pleading face as he got up. She reached for his hand and as soon as their hand touched she held onto her brother's. "Please don't go," she begged her brother. "I don't want to be alone on my birthday! Can't you just stay five more minutes?" Tightly holding her brother's hand, she looked up at him with big puppy eyes. "I can't, I need to do homework. I am sorry El." She sighed dramatically as she let go of his hand. After a hug, her brother walked away and left her alone at the table surrounded by her birthday presents.
Honestly, Elizabeth had no reason to complain, since she had gotten everything her heart desired. Well, almost everything, the only thing she hadn't gotten for her birthday was a horse, maybe she would get it next year. The table, which was normally filled with food for the students, was now partly filled with her presents. On the left of the young girl lay a couple of books, next to her brand new drawing supplies, and on top of a stretch band lay a letter from her parents promising 5 new dresses. To her right was a pile of chocolate frogs together with other candy she had gotten from her oldest brother. Still disappointed her brother left her alone, the girl picked up her new sketchbook, which was gifted by her other brother, and opened it.
In the dining room, there were some other students, but nobody sat close to Eliza. The only people who had congratulated her were her brothers after flooding her with presents, her parents through their letter and a couple of her brothers' friends. After thinking for a couple of seconds she had decided what she would sketch as her first drawing in her new sketchbook with her new pencils. With every line she sketched, her drawing got more life and after a few minutes, it was clear she was drawing the face of a young woman. Not just any woman, no, it was supposed to be the princess of a huge kingdom. When the princess would be old enough she would rule the kingdom and marry prince charming. With every line the drawing became better, the story about the princess got more details and Eliza felt a little less alone.

Alone again...
A GOOD FRIEND IS LIKE A FOUR-LEAF CLOVER: HARD TO FIND AND LUCKY TO HAVE.
Dylan was walking around the castle. He was unable to sleep. He thought that maybe he could get something to eat but he was unable to find the kitchen. Maybe that was for the good. Since if he had found the kitchen he would not be able to be there for the conversation that he heard. He was sorry that his friend seemed to be alone on her birthday. Well there was five minutes to midnight. He was going to be there for her. He had walked close to where she was standing. He looked at her and said “Hey. I can be there for your birthday.” He said. He didn’t have a gift or anything but he could be there for her. “I am sorry I didn’t mean to eavesdrop but I will be there for you.” He said. He was sorry that he had heard everything. He had no meant that to happen.
Dylan was just being a good friend. He didn’t want to leave her alone on her birthday. He just wanted to be a good friend to her. He had a good friend like that in Damion. He was not one who would leave his friend. He had tried to tell Damion that. He didn’t want Damii to be one of the guys who turned into someone that was sort of a loner. He was happy that he was there when his friend was feeling low. He would hate to be in a situation where he was not there for his friends. He was sure that that would happen in the future. He had picked a plate of food that he was laying there. He had not filled his plate fully there was some space there.
Dylan walked towards her and smiled. He was hoping that he could be there for her and make her feel happy. He wouldn’t want to be alone on his birthday and wouldn’t want someone else to be alone. “I guess it’s your birthday now.” He said looking at the clock that was there. “Happy Birthday Eliza.” He said. He wished he had a cake or cupcake. He searched his robe and found a chocolate. He handed it to her and said “I hope you like Caramel.” He said looking at her as he offered her the caramel chocolate to her. He was hoping that she didn’t mind that the present that he was giving her was not covered like the others that were kept there.───────────────── ReducioWords: 415

After her brother had left her alone, a familiar voice reached Elizaveta's ears. Her head turned away from her sketchbook, while a little smile appeared on her face. Dylan, one of the few people she didn't hate to be around, offered to celebrate her birthday with her. "Hi," she said softly as she moved a little to the left to create some space for the older boy to sit, even though there had been enough space for him to sit. "It's okay," she told him, she didn't mind him eavesdropping if it meant she wouldn't be alone on her birthday.
Eliza closely watched as Dylan walked towards her and got something out of his robe after congratulating her. "Thank you!" she said happily as she took the chocolate from his hand. The chocolate wasn't much in comparison to the other gifts she had gotten, but still, the young girl was extremally happy with the gift. Giving the chocolate a special place, she put it in front of the candy she had gotten from her brothers.
Proudly, she turned her sketchbook to the older boy to show him the drawing she had just made. "Look," she told Dylan as she held up the sketchbook. "This is a princess and she had special powers! She can read the minds of everybody in her kingdom, and the kingdom is huge! Pretty cool isn't she?" The sketch of the face of a young woman with dark eyes and wavy hair wasn't finished, but it was clear what the drawing was supposed to be. Elizaveta had thought out the whole story of the princess and would be happy to tell about her if Dylan would ask.

A GOOD FRIEND IS LIKE A FOUR-LEAF CLOVER: HARD TO FIND AND LUCKY TO HAVE.
Dylan walked to the Kitchen and looked at the Girl there. Eliza seemed sad and he had overheard the conversation and had not wanted to do so, but he was sort of glad that he had heard it. He knew that it was her birthday in a few minutes. “Hi” He said looking at her. He was glad that he was here for this celebration. “Thank you.” He said. He was glad that the girl didn’t mind that he had heard her conversation. He was not trying to eavesdrop. But it happened accidentally. He was just standing there.
Dylan looked at her as she took the chocolate that he had gotten out of the robe. He didn’t have anything else on him right now. He looked at her and smiled. He looked at what she was doing and smiled. He was happy that she had put the candy with her other gifts. He was happy that he had given her something. Not something as big as the other gifts.
Dylan looked at what she was showing him and smiled. He was interested in the drawings that she was doing. “Yes.” He said looking at it. “Oh wow. That is great. Would you want that power when you grow up?” He asked. He looked at her and smiled. He was happy that she was trying to keep him included into what she was doing. He looked at her and smiled. “I didn’t catch your name. You are?” He asked.───────────────── ReducioWords: 248

Dylan seemed to think that the princess was cool too, which made Elizaveta glow. Would she want to be able to read other people's minds? It would be pretty handy if she wanted to know things about the other person. She would also know what people thought about her, but she wasn't sure whether she wanted to know that, maybe they all thought she was weird. On the other hand, she would know when somebody was lying and she would know who her real friends were.
After thinking about the question for a bit she nodded. "I think I do, what about you?" she asked the boy. If she would have been able to read his mind she wouldn't even have to ask it, she would have just known it.
She added a few more lines to the drawing, before looking up at the boy who was now smiling at her. Giving him a little awkward smile back, she listened to his question. "I am Elizaveta Mikhailov," she made sure to add her last name because she was proud to be a part of her pureblood family and maybe the boy knew one of her brothers who also went to Durmstrang.

A GOOD FRIEND IS LIKE A FOUR-LEAF CLOVER: HARD TO FIND AND LUCKY TO HAVE.
Dylan was glad that he had some chocolates for the girl whose birthday it was and smiled as he handed the candy to him. He was still wearing his school robes he had changed out of them before he would head to bed. He didn’t think he wanted to get out of them yet. He had been walking around and looked for something to eat when he saw that party in the Kitchen. He was glad that he had seen this. He wanted to be here with her. He looked at her and smiled.
Dylan smiled as he thought what he wanted. He was not sure what he wanted yet. "Maybe. I don’t know yet." He said. He was not telling any lies he was not sure what he wanted right now. He was still young to think about things that he wanted. He looked at her and smiled.
He looked at her as she drew more. He was enjoying being here. He thought she was doing a good job. He looked at her as she smiled back. "Nice to meet you Elizaveta" He said as he stretched his hand out to shake his hand. He looked at her. "That’s a pretty name, Elizaveta." He said. He smiled at her. He was happy that they were interacting.

The boy was still wearing his uniform, which Elizaveta didn't understand at all. They weren't fashionable at all and she liked to wear something different from everybody, but it was the boy's choice. She prefered wearing whatever she decided she felt like instead of a uniform. Of course, she was proud to be a Durmstrang student, but she didn't feel the need to wear the stupid uniform all the time.
Where she had been sure she would love to have the special power of the princess, Dylan doubted and told her he didn't know yet. "Why don't you know it yet?" she asked him softly. Eliza would love to be special and different from others, to be more like the people from her stories.
The two didn't say much and Elizaveta enjoyed the silence. The girl had always appreciated silences, you could think better and you could notice other things. In her opinion, talking was overrated. There were so many more ways to express yourself, you could dance, draw or paint and still get an amazing message across.
"Thank you," she said after the boy had complimented her name. She loved her name as well and was glad her parents had named her Elizaveta since the name had a lot of nicknames. "What is your name?" she asked the boy politely.

A GOOD FRIEND IS LIKE A FOUR-LEAF CLOVER: HARD TO FIND AND LUCKY TO HAVE.
Dylan had been trying to sleep when he had wondered in the Kitchen. He was hungry and couldn’t sleep anymore. He looked around and smiled as he saw the party that was going on there. He could be a part of it now. He couldn’t stop himself from listening to the conversation that the girl was having. He shook his head as he searched his robe for something to give her.
Dylan bit his own lips nervously. He had never thought what he was going to do in the future. "I have not thought of what I want. Right now I am thinking the Newspaper seems like a good option. But I am not sure if I would feel the same way about it when the time comes." He said. He looked at her. "Right now everything seems like a good option. Whether it’s working in the ministry or working as a healer." He said. He didn’t want to offend her. "No offence to you or anyone else." He said softly.
Dylan looked at her as it felt silent between them. He was not sure what they were doing. He just kept looking at her with a sweet smile on his face. He was enjoying being out of bed in the kitchen where he had just come to take something to eat and had ended up being a part of this party. He was not complaining though.
"You’re welcome." He said smiling. He looked at her as she asked him his name. He’d been a dumbass for not mentioning that earlier. "I am Dylan. Dylan Rhys." He said stretching his hand out for her to shake. "I am sorry I didn’t mention my name earlier to you." He said looking at her.
