It was once again time for Galton Lansdale to pick up his razor and undo a week of progress. All this hair was so unsightly, the moment a bit of hair started to form into fuzz the razor came out. At this point Galton knew it was normal for the hair to grow, but it still felt wrong. Not to mention he was pretty sure he’d get in trouble for it. So his feline friend, Toad, would need to hold still.

Possibly the biggest delusion in Galton’s thick skull was that regarding his cat’s hair. He was wholly convinced that he was only allowed to adopt Toad because she had been hairless at the time of her adoption (hair was bad for business in the culinary field). And further, he was convinced that the teachers would report Toad’s furry condition to his parents. How such a delusion still persisted was anyone’s guess. Perhaps there was enough happening constantly at Hogwarts that something as small as this had fallen through the logical gaps of Galton’s thoughts.

Thus, just like he’d done since bringing Toad to school, he would carry Toad to the abandoned toilets equipped with shaving cream and a razor. One may think that this was cruel, but Toad found the whole ordeal quite entertaining. It had become a game. As adept at shaving as Galton had gotten, Toad had would never stop treating it as a petting session and game of tag all rolled into one. Be shaved for a minute, get a head scratch, playfully bite the hand, then run her shaving cream lathered body around the area until Galton caught her once again.

Today would not deviate, not in the start at least. Galton would lather up Toad. Give her a few treats and begin shaving her as carefully as possible. He would not injure his dear pet, and he would not let his parents take her away either. He would shave her until she grew restless and sprung out of Galton’s lap. Both a surprise and exactly as expected.

“TOAD! No! Toad come back, I’ve only finished your left side.” Galton would yell out at the half foam-coated feline as she began zooming around with Galton in tow.

Mia ran around in a huff, she had been late for her study session in the Study Room. The only problem was that she had no idea where the Study Room was. It had been her first interaction with another student and she didn't want to seem like she didn't know anything so she kindly responded that she knew exactly where the Study Room had been.

She sighed as she looked around her, there was no indication of where what was. She wondered whether there was a map for this place and whether it would help her to find where she needed to be. She stopped in front of a door, quickly pushing it open, she realized that she had entered a bathroom. As she looked around the most peculiar thing happened, a foamy creature ran passed her. Her hand slapped over her mouth to keep her from screaming as she realized there was a boy running after it.

A soft giggle escaped her lips as she watched the scene unfold. She wondered whether she should help the boy or whether her presence would be off-putting. She decided to move away from the open door, closing it behind her, she wouldn't want the creature to run out of the bathroom and into the hallway. Who knows what would happen if one of the girls saw this foamy creature.

She looked over at the boy watching him as he ran after the creature.
'Uhm, Hello, do you need some help?' She asked loud enough for the boy to hear, but soft enough not to make anyone else aware of what was happening.

As the door to the bathrooms creaked open Galton’s stomach began doing flips. He had been exposed in a very vulnerable situation, as if he was naked running for a towel to cover himself. This time though, the towel was his pet cat he needed to wrangle so he could finish shaving it and flee. Sure this was not the first time someone had walked in on this process - it would happen occasionally, but normally it was not at such a hectic moment.

He hadn’t even been able to peel his attention away from Toad as the guest’s words hit his ears. It took him a second to work through the brief message, his mind too preoccupied with the foamy feline in front of him. Or it was in front of him a moment ago… where… oh, there!

Galton struggled to answer the girl as he prepared to nab Toad. The cat had moved into the perfect position for Galton to pounce and grab the slippery devil. “I - ah, just gra-“ would escape his lips as he dove for the cat.

The next sound the girl would hear was Galton crashing belly first into the bathroom floor. A wheeze would erupt from Galton as the air that had second ago been in his lungs was knocked out of him. Toad was, of course, untouched and scampering away from the downed boy. “Catc-“ was all he could say before he had to use all his willpower to suck in some much needed air. Then he’d try again. “Catch th-“ not quite this time either. Another struggled breath. “Catch the cat-“

He’d not had time to express any sort of politeness, or explain the possible situation and assure her silence from the faculty but it was the best he could do in his current state.
OOC: Feel free to grab Toad (or not), no need to wait and see if you do from me rping if you actually catch her.

Mia had her hand clasped firmly over her mouth as she watched the spectacle. She didn't want to laugh at what was happening, but it was too difficult not to. She tried to hide her laugh with a loud cough.

Her eyes fell on the feline, it had ran passed her again. It seemed to be enjoying this interaction. She liked this feline, it had a very playful nature to what it was doing. Whether it was something that they always did, she didn't know.

She watched as the boy topple over attempting to catch the feline. He had the wind knocked out of him, a scarlet blush had formed at the nape of her neck as she watched him attempt to ask her to help. Instead of answering she bolted after the foamy feline.

(Should I even ask what the boy was doing with the feline, I mean running after a cat was fine, but running after a foamy cat was a bit strange.) She thought to herself as she ducked down to allow herself to be at the right height to grab the feline. She stopped to catch her breath

'Soo' She huffed, cursing herself for not getting more exercise 'What's with the cat, are you allergic to its' hair?' She asked wondering if she was being rude or not.

Galton slowly recovered from the paralyzing hold his deflated lungs had over him. He took a moment and took larger deep breathes rather than the shorter quick ones his body was telling him to take. Ultimately those just caused him more pain. And as the air returned to him he watched the new girl try to nab Toad.

It was a valiant effort from a first attempt, but Toad ran free yet again. Now it was time for the questions. Galton knew they would come. But he had no clue if he could trust this newcomer. She could be a plant from the Professors to try to out Galton and Toad. He couldn’t be too careful in this peculiar position. She had given him an out though. It was easy, why had he not thought of the excuse before. Allergies! It was brilliant. No one would ever criticize someone for allergies. They would criticize you for a crackpot theory about a parental plot to take your cat though.

At this point Toad had perched herself on a sink to watch the two new playthings. The high ground was always a good place to be. Easy to move when one of your pursuers comes forward. But Galton was growing tired of the chase, and he was already sore from a failed tackle attempt. It was time for the big guns.

“Yes, I am most allergic!” Galton would say to his fellow cat wrangler as he picked a cat treat out of his pocket and tossed it a few feet from him. “I umm, the hair just makes me… Ummm… makes me cry.” Galton didn’t actually know what a cat allergy would do to you, so he took a guess. It sounded convincing enough?

The treats had peaked Toad’s interest though. She leapt down from the sink and began to slowly, suspiciously approach the treat. Not totally assured in the safety of them yet. And she was right, it was totally a trap.
As before, feel free to rp catching Toad or not!

Mia looked over at the boy, it sounded like he was trying to convince himself more than he was trying to convince her. She bit her lip and decided not to press the boy on this matter, it was rude to intrude on other people's personal things. It was a curious situation though. If he would have been allergic, wouldn't the shaving hair make him have an allergic reaction? She laughed internally.

She silently stared at the current situation. This critter had escaped her attempts at catching her as well as her partners. She was a clever feline. He had decided to try and lure her over with some treats. She wondered whether it would work with her. She seemed to be cautious. Mia wondered whether she would fall for this trick or whether she would dart away as soon as she saw movement.

Mia had a thought. She beckoned at the boy, her hand firmly placed on her lips as she pointed carefully and slowly at the back of where the cat was slowly creeping over. A joint effort might get the feline into the hands of her partner. She slowly started to creep over to the back section of the bathroom, slowly facing the back of the feline. She hoped that this would work, but was unsure. Cats were tricky after all.
