An (Unfortunate) Dip in the Lake (continued)
Well it sounds like you'll be alright, but I'll check you out just to be safe. Is anything sore?" No. Bailey said through slightly chattering teeth. Or does it hurt? I mean, I have a VERY high pain tolerance, but.. No nothing hurts now.”@James Owens
The assistant nurse put a light pressure to Bailey's shoulders and sides. They gave her a towel to dry her hair. "Here. I can tell you're still cold.
James was checked out (much to Bailey’s relief) after she was but had no signs of soreness or bruises on his body. " James will be alright. He doesn't have any bruises" They reassured her. Sighing, Bailey felt a weight get lifted off of her shoulders. If James had been hurt, she would have never forgiven herself.
As the assistant came back, they handed James some dry clothes and then they went to get some for Bailey. Thank you. Bailey said gratefully. Slipping behind some closed curtains to change, she put on the loose white shirt and long cotton pants. Slipping on some purple fuzzy socks, she put her boots back on. They were a little tight due to the extra padding from the socks, but otherwise everything fit well. Draping her Ravenclaw sweater over her arm, Bailey picked up her other wet clothes and headed out from behind the curtain.
Seeing that James was done changing too, she asked the assistant, Are we good to go?

An (Unfortunate) Dip in the Lake (continued)
Bailey went behind the curtain changing into the spare clothes the the assistant had given her. James gave the clothes he had received back to the assistant. His clothes weren't to wet. He'd be fine. Clothes dry after a while anyway. No big deal. James sat on the empty cot while he waited for Bailey to finish changing. The assistant tried to get James to change but he refused. They walked away with a sigh and shrug of their shoulder and put the clothes away.
Bailey came from behind the curtain. James stood up as she asked if the both of them were alright to go. James watched as the assistant walked back over with a nod of their head. "Yep. Just make sure if either of you still feel cold in another hour come back down here. Do the same if you start to feel sore as well or feel that something isn't right."
James thanked the assistant and began to walk away stopping by the door to wait for Bailey to join him. James should probably go down to eat something. He had been up all night and hadn't ate since the evening before at dinner. James shoved his hands in his pockets trying to decide what to say to part with Bailey.

After she finished changing, she went back to the larger area and Bailey found James still in his old clothes, sitting on an empty bed. He was clearly waiting for her to finish. Once she was out, James stood up and asked if they were free to go. The assistant nodded, saying that if they were still cold in another hour they needed to come back. He also said that if they felt sore or something felt wrong to come back.@James Owens
Nodding, Bailey again said thanks to the assistant, but her mind really was not on that topic. Her mind was more focused on figuring out what to say to James. Should she just say thanks, and then walk away? No that seems too cruel. Maybe just wait and see what he does? No, you should do something.
Deciding to start by opening the hospital wing door for him as they walked nearer to it, she ran ahead to do so. When he looked a little grumpy at this, she said “You promised that we could trade off. It’s my turn now; it’s the least I can do to thank you.”
As they walked into the corridor, Bailey turned to him. “Really… thanks. You saved my life. Is there Anything I could do for you to repay you?” She put an extra emphasis on anything. While she waited for his response, Bailey chewed on her inner lip; doing this was a bad habit of hers when she was nervous.Word count: 255 ish

The nursing assistant released them to go. James thanked them with a nod and slight smile. He and bailey started walking to the door and she rushed ahead of him to open the door. James frowned until Bailey reminded him of his promise. Right, I did say that. Totally slipped my mind.
James walked through the door and waited for Bailey to come out. She thanked him then asked if there was anything she could do to repay him. James shook his head. "No. There's no need to repay me. You're fine. I don't need anything from you. Not in that way though. Like I mean I don't need you to do anything for me. Nope geez. These words just aren't coming out of my mouth the way I want them to. I'm sure you get the idea though? Right?
James scratched his neck nervously as his face began to deepen in colour. The way he had just spoke to her she would surely think of him differently. He had sounded so rude and had tried to fix his mistake but it just got worse and he sounded even more rude. He looked at her and waited for a response. His hands were starting to get sweaty from his nervousness and he wiped them on a dry part of his jeans.
This is not how he wanted to sound. It just wasn't him at all to be rude to someone ever. Even if they were rude to him he would still try to be nice to that person. He wasn't a fan of name calling or bullying or anything in such a rude manner.

When The nurse’s assistant let them go, Bailey and James walked outside of the doors. When the doors shut, Bailey said “Really… thanks. You saved my life. Is there Anything I could do for you to repay you?” She said this quickly, before James could say anything. He then said a bunch of things, and the gist of it was basically that Bailey did not own him anything. What he said was a lot longer than that, but he kinda was digging himself into a hole with what he was saying.@James Owens
When Bailey realized that James wasn’t going to let her repay him in any way then, she decided that it was time for her to head back to her dormitory. She had a lot of homework that had been assigned. Looking down at her silver watch that was on her left wrist, Bailey saw that is was not even nine o’clock in the morning yet! She had been awake only two hours, she realized that James probably had not eaten breakfast yet and that she should probably make him go eat something now. “I’m going to go back to Ravenclaw tower to do some homework now… is that ok? I mean, you should probably go eat some breakfast. Sorry I’ve kept you busy for quite a while.”
