2022 Stage 2 Hufflepuff vs Ravenclaw: Match 5

Final Round

Autumn did the only thing she could reasonably do without her wand and on the final round. Dodge. She would remain light on her toes as she watched her enemies with a keen eye trying to anticipate their movements through the rest of the smoke that plagued the duel.

Mars would focus their attention on the wandless Autumn and send out a glimmering green spark in their direction. It went off light a firework, but Autumn was ready and evaded the light show in time to keep her sight intact.

Aida would fire off the same green sparkles as Mars had, only instead of Autumn, they chose to aim for Lea. However, just like her partner, Lea had no intention of being hit in the last round as she also managed to dodge the light show.

Lea kept her sights focused on Aida as she released a spectacularly cast Flipendo the mage’s way. The power behind the cast was evident as it cut past the green sparks intended for Lea. Aida barely managed to get out of the spell’s way. Aida would not be ending the duel on their back by the fraction of a hair.

Lightning seemed to rumble ominously as light sparks crackled back and forth between the clouds above the Hufflepuffs. Unfortunately for Lea, a loud crack and boom could be heard in the air as a bolt of lightning streamed down and struck her.

Santario took a step forward as the smoke dissipated from the piste and pointed her wand to the sky. “Meteolojinx Recanto” The looming storm clouds over the Hufflepuffs' heads would disappear, the threat gone. “With all four of you remaining standing, my judgment falls on who landed the most hits and how hard those hits fell as strength does not only lie within accuracy. Because of this.” Santario raised a hand toward the Ravenclaws. “I must declare house Ravenclaw the winner of this duel. All four of you dueled wonderfully and with honor. Do not take the loss hard, Hufflepuff.”

Without any further prompting Santario would make her way off of the piste and leave the duelling room.
