Holidays in Hogwarts
The pounding of foot's steps and the creaking of chairs were heard through the great hall, the students from the outside where snow began to fall and the breezy became icy where coming in for lunch. For the students of Hogwarts food began appearing and conversations started up over the smell of warmChristmas food,some of which was turkey and pudding. On the Slytherin table, many first years were talking about what they would do for the holiday and what family they were spending it with, but surrounded by all the other 11-year-old, Slytherins. Sat a girl who looked desperate to run from the conversation. This was 11 years old, Lilly-Anne Dean. Poor Lilly received a letter from her stepfather that she would be spending her first ever Christmas away from her mother, the chatter echoing around the hall, soon died down when one of the professors stood to make the announcement.
Professor:
Now, now children, settle down.
Today is the final day you can put your name down for staying at Hogwarts over the Christmas holidays.
I know some of you, unfortunately, are unable to go home this year due varies reasons.
But those who stay will be able to wander the halls, gardens and hang out with the other students staying behind. and if they wish to get a head start on the next year's workload.
Do not make fun of those students who are unable to go home just because you are able to go and see your families.
That is all, you can go back to eating.
Back to Slytherins table's first year.
A short parchment was being passed down until it reached the first years.
Another first-year Slytherin sitting next to Lilly handed the parchment to her, who then let out a huge sign attracting the attention of one of the upper year students.
Lilly-ann continued to print her name under the first year section while having a very angry expression painted on her face. The scrowl she wore was noticed by some of the other houses members and when she caught sight of them, she looked away.
She noticed there weren't many Slytherins staying at Hogwarts.
The other Slytherins noticed her angry scrowl transformed into broken expression after she finished writing her name on the parchment and handed it to another student. So one the first year Slytherins who was sitting across from Lilly asked her why she wasn't going home, this once again attracted an older student who began making their way towards the small group of first years because Lilly made a huge struggle sounding trying while she was trying to form a response.

[font=Times New Roman]Zero was sure her father wouldn't mind her not going home for Christmas, the rest of the family, of course, would be furious, but, they would owl their gifts anyway. Zero knew her father wouldn't buy her anything, he hated her. Or, was too drunk to care. [/font]
[font=Times New Roman]Zero removed her good quill from her bag, and traced her name onto the piece of Parchment. She passed it on to the girl next to her. She saw her look down at it with a huff.[/font]

Holidays in Hogwarts
Lilly was startled out of having a panic take that she almost face planted into her food. by the girl sitting next to her. The girl who Lilly then realises was another first-year was forming words with her mouth but didn't register in lilly's brain until a minute later.
You're not going home either? said the first year Slytherin
Lilly finally realises that the young first year is indeed talking to her, so she begins formulating her response to the girl.
I'm not going home and by the looks of things, you aren't either replied Lilly. but by then the majority of the students had headed up to gather books for the next class. Most of the other first-year Slytherins left to do the same.
So Lilly felt oddly safe around this strange and unknow the first year., so Lilly counties her train of thought by telling the girl why she was staying at Hogwarts and not the excuse she gave to the teachers.
I'm staying home because I received a letter by one of the school owls that my STEP-Father, she puts a lot of stress on that word, that the girl next to her was sure something wasn't right.
He said that He and my poor sweet mother had a conversation and decide that staying over the holidays would make my mother not cry every time she looked at me. Mother hates looking at me because I remind her of my father said Lilly intensely, but all the same, she loves me.
What about you, said Lilly, are you staying for the fun of it or are you forced to?

Strangely enough, Zero felt that this girl was going through something like Zero was. If only Zero's mother had stayed back at the Blue manor. Though, Zero wasnt sure if she would stay at the manor if she got a chance to go.
Zero knew all too well that Her father wouldnt mind her leaving, it was just the confusion of where she would go. She never had any home except the manor, and nearly all of her family members were pure-blood fanatics.
Zero could infest in some gold, then buy her own house. It would take a few months, maybe years, but Zero didnt want to grow up and have no hope, and then turn into a pure-blood fanatic like her family.

Holidays in Hogwarts
- Well you see, My mum left when I was really young, so it's just me and dad, but he stopped caring about and for me. And the rest of my family are pure-blood fanatics who have no real meaning in the world than to make me despise them more than normal
Lilly sat facing the girl on an awkward angle so she wouldn't put her elbow in the butter plate. he due to this it makes her look like she's staring into space when shes actually looking at the girl next to her.
interrupting the girl speaking was the bell signalling for the end of lunch. Lilly sighed at this because she had her least favourite class at all times.
The professor begins making their way to the class and this is where Lilly-Anne decided to interrupt the girl.
Excuse me, miss but I have to make my way to my charms class and I don't know if you caught my name but i am Lilly-Anne Dean. I do apologise for not telling you my name when we began our conversation said in a hurried tone to the girl.
Another bell rings echoing through the hall, telling Lilly shes late for her class and so is the other girl.
Scrambling up from the table, Lilly grabs her school bag and runs almost to the door but then she remembered she hadn't caught the girls name. So she shouted across the great hall to ask the girl her name
