Sana was surrounded by people from the UK, she had no idea why her parents had decided to take a vacation here. Her mother was wearing a traditional kimono, as was Sana. A casual Kimono, even, still stood out in the coats of everyone around her. Sana was not embarrassed, not in the least. "Can we look at the brooms?" She asked in Japanese. Her mother spotted the quidditch shop and nodded. Sana thanked her and went ahead to the shop while her mother continued her shopping elsewhere. As a broomracer, she needed a new broom.
She stared in awe of the Japanese broom, but saw how expensive it was. "Unfortunate." She said with a frown.

She continued searching the brooms, looking up now and again at the people who came in. She smiled and waved politely to everyone who passed, more focused on the brooms out of everything. Her focus, however, shifted, when her eyes fell upon a girl with red hair. The red hair was as beautiful as the sun on a warm, autumn evening. And Sana? Sana's heart fluttered just a little. But she didn't have a crush. Not yet, at least. "Hello, are you interested in quidditch?" Stupid question.

It was Christmas shopping time and Diagon Alley was more crowded than it had always been in this place anyway. But Haley was eager to get to the Quidditch shop and while her parents still had some errands to run - namely all the presents for the whole family - as they would be celebrating Christmas big at her uncle and aunt's house this year. And the best part was that she would finally meet Nate and all her other cousins again. But now it was time to get all the presents and while her mum was off in all sorts of shops, unable to help her anyway, Haley shut herself off and went to the Quidditch Supplies shop.

Haley couldn't get enough, her eyes lit up when she saw all the shelves of all sorts of supplies. Since she was a Quidditch player herself, her heart naturally beat for any equipment she could get. Her dream was to be able to afford her own broom soon, but in the meantime she was supplied thanks to the Gryffindor Broom funds. Wide-eyed, she squeezed through the crowd and walked along the brooms on display. One beautiful, one a super speed, the other a super grip. Haley would never be able to decide and probably never be able to afford one.

But the world was sometimes for dreaming, right? Right. So Haley kept looking, greeting people here and there, politely pushing past them with lots of apologies, I just need a minute, yeah right, thanks. After a few minutes she came to stand in front of a broom again, a Silver Arrow like the one she was currently flying herself. Then a voice brought her out of her thoughts and the young girl looked to the side in surprise. Her eyes fell on a girl, probably her age, maybe a little younger with black hair. Haley smiled at her question and started to nod. "You bet." She laughed and looked back to the broom.

"I play Quidditch myself."
the redhead continued , turning her attention back to the still unknown person. "And you? I'm Haley Rose by the way." She finally introduced herself and as she did, her attention fell on the girl's clothing. It was a dress of some sort and Haley had never seen anyone else wear it in life either, at most in magazines or pictures. She vaguely remembered that it came from Japanese culture, but was no longer sure if this fact was right or not. Whatever it was, it looked great. "I love your-" She paused for a moment and looked down at what she didn't know was a kimono. "dress?" she looked apologetically at the girl, "sorry I don't know what it's called."

I, too, think quidditch is..." Sana ran her hand lightly on the brooms, tilting her head to the side. "Fascinating doesn't accurately describe it, but it's the only word I can think of. And it turns out this girl plays quidditch, too! Sana raised her eyebrows, clearly impressed. She didn't play quidditch, she did broom racing. Quidditch was a tough sport, Sana knew that well. And yet she didn't doubt that this girl could play Quidditch, and really well. "That's cool!" She exclaimed. The girl asked Sana if she played and she shook her head. "No, I do broom racing, though! It's still on brooms so I head to Quidditch shops mostly. " She bowed her head slightly to the Haley. "Nice to meet you! My name is Sana Ohashi." She wondered if Haley knew the ways of Japan. She always wondered when she met new people. Rose-san ooc I don't know the ways of Japan seemed kind, either way.

She tried to compliment Sana's outfit and didn't know what it was called. This didn't bother Sana. "It's a kimono." She offered with a smile. "And thank you. " She once again looked at the hair of the girl. "And you have very pretty hair. I'm sure you get that a lot." Redhair was just... very pretty. A million words could describe redhair, all so poetic. But Haley? Sana couldn't even begin to describe her. She radiated confidence, beauty, strength. "So I'm guessing you go to Hogwarts? How do you like it there?"

"I think Fascinating is a good word to describe quidditch." Haley replied with a smile. For her, there were many words to describe this hobby, breathtaking, exciting, fun, adrenaline-filled and many more. And so Fascinating was also a word that suited Quidditch. "Wow, broom racing sounds fun as well!" Until today she had only been to one race and that was Simon's first race at the time. "We should train together sometime!" suggested Haley, realising at the same time how pointless the suggestion was, since they probably didn't go to the same school.

A little confused, Haley looked at the girl who introduced herself as Sana. "U- um, so I have to do that too?" she asked uncertainly but full of curiosity and also slightly bent her head forward, her gaze looking further up to see if Sana would give her a sign whether she was doing it right or not. "It's a pleasure to meet you." She replied with a broad smile.

"A kimono." Haley repeated her words, trying to memorise it. She found it more than interesting to learn something new about another culture and wondered what other traditions there were that she could learn more from. "Thanks!" Haley giggled at the compliment, "I inherited this red hair from my father's side of the family. They're Irish and I was born in Ireland too." She explained as she slowly slicked through her long curly hair. In fact, she often got compliments on her hair and she loved it herself. They were, like her freckles, the physical part of the Irish blood in her. And that part she was more than proud of, she loved Ireland and missed her old home.

"Yes I go to school at Hogwarts." she answered her question, "where do you go to school? Hogwarts it isn't, otherwise I'm sure I wouldn't be so unfamiliar with your face and this pretty Kimono." She asked the counter question. "I love Hogwarts, it's like a second home to me and as much as I look forward to the holidays and seeing my family again, I look forward to coming back every time too."
