Talking with @Logan Hughes
He smiled a little, glad that Logan went ahead with her family's silly little antics because it was that sort of thing that made things memorable.
"We've got some traditions, I guess you could call them." Simon paused a moment to think about them. "When I'm back home, I have my Confraternity of Christian Doctrine, CCD, or religious education classes on Tuesday so we'd be at Church, I'd have Youth Choir within the Church on Thursdays, so we'd be at Church, and then we went to mass every Sunday so we'd be at Church," he glanced to Logan and smiled a little. It was a lot of Church but he loved it, and the congregation that belonged to his particular one. "After Sunday's mass, my aunt Maggie would invite fellow parishioners for lunch, the ones who have recently lost a spouse. They usually end up meeting others through those sessions and it's a good sort of support for them. I always help with the meal and the socializing." Simon Kincaid was a boy who liked so socialize.
"As for silly sort of stuff," he paused. "I don't know. My aunt likes to do this thing where she puts an adjective that begins with the letter S like in my name in front of my name. She thinks she's always being SO creative. Sometimes I'm Smart Simon, sometimes I'm Sarcastic Simon, Sweet Simon, Stylish Simon..." he cleared his throat because it was getting too much. "...You get the point."
"I think that's about it though. We've got a good bond but I can't say it's always like a parent/son sort of bond. She let's me do things that NONE of my friend's parents would ever dream of letting them do. Sometimes it's almost like having an older sibling." She was only fourteen years older than he was.

"Wow, That's a lot of religious stuff." Logan responded, her eyes widened. " My family was never huge on religion but we still went to mass whenever we could and we buried my mom on a church property when she passed on. " She listened to him say the things about his aunt. "Your aunt sounds amazing. And yeah, it must be a bit strange to have her so close to you in age. your always taught as a kid that you should respect your elders and you parents or guardians but people assume that your guardian is always much older so it must be a bit conflicting with not too big of an age difference." Logan quieted down, not knowing what to say. She had run her mind out of ideas of what to talk to her new friend about except for oneidea. However, if she asked it, Simon would probably answer, then turn it back on her and she did not exactly want to talk about her school life or everyday life even outside of Hogwarts. She was not known to be very good at guiding a conversation away from a topic so she inevitably would feel the need to confess everything she's ever done like the words were just spilling out of her.

New ventures perhaps with @Logan Hughes
He nodded. He totally respected Aunt Maggie it was just that sometimes she was a little too free when it came to him, a little too trusting, a little too lacking when it came to discipline and expectations. Sometimes limits is what helped someone feel secure and without them you never really knew how far you should go. Luckily, Simon was a good kid though and never seemed to go past a certain point, keeping him always in the good.
"So you've found the most amazing room in all of Hogwarts, but is there anything you wonder about? Anything I can help you with?" Simon smiled and was offering up his help. Sometimes he knew some first years that liked to explore the school grounds or perhaps had yet to be out at the Great Lake. Once someone wanted to know what Hogwarts looked like from FAR above, further than they flew in flying class Year 1. Sometimes it was a question about magic and he didn't mind help exploring the pages of the books in the Library to find the answer. Maybe Logan was curious about something and Simon could help discover with her.
The Hufflepuff always did like an adventure, big or small.

Logan sat silently, considering Simon's question. "Well...where would you say is the best place to go, besides this room of coirse, when you need some silence or just peace? I hate when it gets overwhelmingly loud in place s, especially the common room. I know Hufflepuffs are supposed to be quiet, kind and reserved, but for a group of people like that the common room almost always seem to have that one loud person who makes every one else in the room act up as well. Also, do you have any idea where I could go get a map of those of some sort of the Hogwarts grounds? I just know I'm going to get lost on them the moment I set for to go somewhere I didn't already learn about." Logan adjusted her hair after the questions, something she would do as a nervous habit after she felt she had talked too muchh. This happened a lot. Logan always felt the need to stay the perfect image of a young English beauty who didn't speak when it was unnecessary; essentially whenever she woke up and felt a little self conscious that day. Logan grabbed a sheet of piano music from falling off the top of the piano as a small gust of wind scurried into the room from the hallway and then placed it back on top.

A map idea with @Logan Hughes
"I like the Library as well, just no going to the far east corner," he smiled, not telling her why. That was what he liked to think of as his make out corner and he'd make anyone that wasn't supposed to be there leave! "It's usually pretty quiet and theres lots of little areas for one to find just the right place whether its to read, study, draw, relax, work on some music." The Library and the Rehearsal Room were some of his favorite places to be.
"You know, come to think of it, Hogwarts really should have a map." He never recalled getting one and he never saw anyone with one. "Maybe that should be yours and mine's claim to badger fame. We could make The Atlas of Hogwarts, brought to you by Hughes and Kincaid....or well, something fancier when we actually think of the right title. What do you think?" Maybe it was lame but Simon sort of found the challenge intriguing. Surely the castle wouldn't make it easy with it's secret passageways and moving staircases but he was up for trying! It could help him out, it could help her out, and it could help out future students of Hogwarts.
