Lorelai was sitting on the grass, looking at the lake. She had found a few spare hours that day, and decided what better way to spend your free-time than by reading by the lake? The only this is she wasn't reading at all. Once she had arrived all she felt like doing was savoring the warmth of the sun and watching the calming water of the lake. So, her book stayed unopened by her side, plopped down on the grass. It was a book about Herbology, a topic that Lorelai passively liked. She had gotten it from the library earlier but wasn't all that keen to read it immediately.
She laid down on the grass, feeling the blades of grass poking her back. Having come from a city, she had little experience being this around nature. Except for the few times her mother took her into the countryside. It was refreshing though, and she could hardly imagine being in the chaotic city of London again. So far she was adoring Hogwarts, although she still felt homesick more often than not.
The thought of her mother made her sorrowful, so she decided to do something to pass the time and take her mind away from her home. Sighing, she looked up at the clouds, trying to make them out into shapes. Lorelai noticed a rather fluffy one floating above her. "Oh! That one looks like a little bunny! Or maybe a sheep? Or even a llama?"She said out loud, much louder than she had meant to. She wondered if anyone heard, but doubted it, and continued looking at the sky. She avoided looking at the sun, as her mother had drilled into her head that doing that was bad for her eyes. Nope! Not gonna think about her! She turned her attention to a new cloud, this one long and thin. "That one looks like a cute little worm!"

Zachary had decided to take a stroll around the grounds to clear his head. The classes at Hogwarts were always interesting, but sometimes he just needed a break to get away from it all. He was used to being around all these kids his age, and even more so around the noise that made up Hogwarts. Manchester could be busy from time to time.
With a sigh, he put his arms behind his head as he walked through the well-manicured grounds outside the castle near the lake. He was looking up with his head in the clouds with his head finally clear for a spell.
"That one there looks like...well I think it looks like a dog, I think...though I guess if I turn my head to the side a bit it kind of looks like a ram. Bloody hell..." He laughed to himself as he continued to walk, forgetting to watch his step as he tripped over a rock wedged into the earth as he took quite a tumble down into the lawn.
"OW!" He said aloud as he opened his eyes and looked around. He did not really hurt himself, but he did stain his robes.
"Damn my clumsy feet." He said to himself as he looked around. He soon found he was not alone as he spied a girl laying on the grass as his face grew bright red.

While strolling along the lakeside, Celena couldn't help but feel at home. Sure, the lake was no ocean, like the cold waters of the Pacific that she had spent a good deal of time in the few years before her admittance to Hogwarts, but it would do.
The young witch was longing for a friend or two, someone to spend time with and enjoy her first year at Hogwarts with. It just so happened that, on the grass below her, laid a girl who appeared to be the same age as her. She seemed to be talking to herself about... the shape of the clouds?
Looking up into the cerulean sky, she could see that the clouds were especially white and fluffy today. They looked like pillows of vanilla cotton candy, and she almost wished that she could lie down on one and forget all of her troubles.
At that same moment, a young boy had stumbled upon the girl whom Celena was looking at, and she rolled her eyes at his clumsiness.
"Did you really just manage to trip over someone who was laying right in front of you?"

Lorelai was lost in the sky, looking at the slowly passing clouds above her, when she felt something, or someone, trip over her. She heard male voice curse, falling over her body. She jolted up, sitting upwards on the grass. She saw that a boy had tripped over her, and he looked quite embarrassed. Lorelai had a frightened look on her face, defiantly not expecting this to happen. Realizing what would happen her face reddened.
She heard a female voice speak. "Did you really just manage to trip over someone who was laying right in front of you?"
Lorelai laughed sheepishly before rubbing the back of her neck. Turning to the boy who had tripped over her. "No, it's okay. I shouldn't have really been lying down here, knowing people walk along here."
She realized she was in an extremely awkward position. Lorelai picked up her book and pressed it to her chest, still looking like a strawberry. All she felt like doing was being back in her little cloud world again. Lorelai wondered if the boy was injured. The last thing she wanted was to be responsible for someone else's injury. She couldn't live with that."Are you okay? You aren't hurt are you?"She asked, concerned. She stood up swiftly and held out her hand to help the boy up.

The sound of someone yelling out at him was enough to hurt his pride enough that his face turned the same shade of red as the Gryffindor house color. However, when he heard the soft almost timid voice of the other female...the one he tripped over, he looked up at her and swallowed the lump in his throat. She was gorgeous, but he had embarrassed himself in front of women since he had arrived at the school and it was starting to get old to him. He did want to just run and pretend this never happened, but instead, he heard the girl speak back saying it was her fault before offering him her hand to stand back up. He took the offer and sighed as he got back to his feet, a bloody fool he was.
"Thanks, but I um...I am terribly sorry for that, I should have been more careful and I should have definitely waited till I was sitting down to look up at the sky. Forgive me?" He said before turning his attention to the girl that yelled at him before.
"Yeah, my bad...I am a bit of a daydreamer...got carried away, I didn't mean 'nouthin by it." His apology was half-hearted to the girl that yelled at him. He hoped they would understand it was an accident.
He then looked back at the red-faced girl, turning his attention to something a bit more important.
"You aren't hurt, are you?" He asked with a soft expression on his face.

Lorelai still felt a little bad for being an obstacle someone tripped over but felt a little better knowing he was okay. She lifted the boy up before, glancing at the girl who had recently made the snarky remark. Albeit amusing, she didn't share the same attitude. Lorelai listened to the boy apologizing for falling over her.
"No really, it was okay. I forgive you. And I'm not hurt or anything. Anyways it was just as much my fault as your's."She exclaimed profusely, fidgeting with her hands.
"Funny thing though, I was looking at the sky too..it's really a good day for that, isn't it? So sunny and warm, but with just the right amount of clouds to make it interesting."She said, taking a glance back up into the bright blue sky. Maybe it was better to change the topic from the awkward incident that occurred."I don't know about you, but I like trying to make out the clouds into shapes. Like that one looks like a heart...kind of."She pointed to a cloud that looked somewhat like a very distorted heart, it wasn't perfect but the resemblance could be seen.
"What about you...what's your name?"She asked the girl, realizing she had no idea who she was. She turned to the boy. "I don't know your name either...Well, in case you wanted to know I'm Lorelai Brunelle."

Verla walked out from the castle and down the rode to the grounds. She saw some kids there and recognized Lorelai and waved to her and shouted her name. She hugged Lorelai and smiled, she hadn't seen her since the ballroom. She missed her new friend, and she didn't recognize anyone else, besides the boy she'd seen from time to time in some rooms.
"So how are you Lorelai? I've been alright, I've been a bit lonely, I adopted another bowtruckle from the actual pet store and I might let him go and find my Oliver again. I miss Oliver, my other bowtruckle before than."
Verla remembered how much she cried when she'd let him go, then she thought of Levi Kuria, the one friend who could cheer her up any day. He was the reason she was still at the school, she wanted to leave when she lost Oliver, but Levi encouraged her to stay there, and then they developed feelings for each other, something she'd never experienced before.
She laid down next to Lorelai and watched the clouds with her, she giggled since she'd never done it before. It was fun, being next to a friend and making shapes of the clouds.

Making her way over to Lorelai and the boy who had somehow tripped over her, Celena felt a small feeling of glee having found two potential friends. She realized that she had been slightly rude in her outburst to the boy, who, Celena could tell really didn't mean to trip over Lorelai. She hoped that by being polite in her introductions, she could convince the two that there was more behind her attitude than that snarky remark.
Now standing next to Lorelai and the boy, Celena could sense a sort of tension, and it made her slightly uncomfortable. The two were so incredibly awkward that Celena decided to go ahead and introduce herself, in the hopes that the mood would lighten a bit.
"Before I introduce myself, I'd like to apologize for my rude comment, earlier. Sometimes my attitude gets the better of me. My name is Celena Ebonywood."
Although sociable, Celena wasn't incredibly adept at introductory conversations, and from the way that Lorelai was fidgeting and the look on the boy's face that screamed 'I want to turn around and run away because this is so awkward' she realized that this whole circumstance was just embarrassing. There was Lorelai, the girl who had been talking out loud about the clouds, while laying down on the grass, the boy, who hadn't been paying a cent of attention, and tripped on her, and Celena, who just had to butt into the situation by shouting a sarcastic remark. She only prayed that she would be able to hold her composure despite her shame for shoving herself into this situation.

"Hello, Verla! I didn't know you had a pet bowtruckle!"Lorelai said, greeting her friend. "I hope you find Oliver though. And if you don't want your current one, I'd happily take him off your hands."She offered. "Where exactly do you get them from? I've seen them in books, and they seem so cute and friendly! Maybe I should get one..."She pondered, knitted her brows. She remembered how they had spoken before in the ballroom. She had seen Verla around the school quite a bit since then, but hadn't talked to her since, maybe she should more. "And if you're lonely, we should hang out more! You're really nice!"
After Verla had spoken, Celena apologized for her earlier comment. Lorelai smiled at this. Maybe she had judged too quickly, she had noticed that was something she had done a few times recently. She made a note to try and work on this. Celena seemed like maybe she wasn't so bad, she actually seemed pretty nice.
"I think everyone makes stupid comments like that sometimes, I don't think it's just you."She said, shrugging."And attitude can be just as much a good thing as a bad. In my opinion it makes you more interesting, it all depends on how you view it."

"Oh, you don't want Lake, he's such a little evil boy. His name Lake had an e which means nothing, but lak is an acronym for "'Little A#% Kicker'" Verla giggle and Lake just rolled his eyes. "But if I find Oliver I will happily give him to you, if he isn't depressed yet, they apparently like to be with their own kind, and get depressed if they aren't, but some like to be away from them. You can find them any where, they're good at camoflouge, so it's hard to find them. I got Oliver when I saved him from being eaten by a beetle. I got Lake from the pet store. Although I'm thinking of letting him go, he's been sleeping a lot which is a sign of depression." Verla began to blabber on and on about Oliver and what they'd been through together. Lake was depressed, but until she found Oliver, he was stuck with her. Then she saw a little twig moving and looked, it was Oliver. And he was walking out of the woods, after he'd heard her and was glad to have her back. Verla yelled his name, Lake looked and hopped on Lorelai's shoulder as Verla ran toward Oliver and gave him a hug, he was back. Maybe Lake would have more fun with Lorelai.
