"We did do a good job." Maeve agreed, matching Olympia's grin. They were going to be good friends, she could already tell.

"Oh. You're like Dahlia. She doesn't much like eating around people, so she eats in ski-skimpy amounts and then has the house elves bring more food up to her room later. Mother thinks she's anore-anorexic. She's not wrong, not enti-entirely." Maeve explained. It was weird, being able to talk about her siblings with someone else. She hoped that their friendship wold grow into one that they were so close, eventually they could complain about each other's siblings.

"Olly! You're a mess!" Maeve laughed. She looked down at her own robes, and saw they were just as dusty as Olympia's. "We need to get cleaned up before lunch." Maeve shook her head. "I definitely agree. Maybe next time we'll just igno-ignore the mess!"

Maeve knew it wasn't true. She had definitely developed a conscience after the Dahlia incident, so she would feel extremely guilty if she ignored a mess she made. Oh, the downside of being mentally stable!

Maeve had a cousin who could do horrible things, like steal the candy of a younger relative, or just bully anyone, and she wouldn't feel guilty at all. Not ever. It was strange, and this girl (Delilah) was Maeve's least favorite cousin.

Olympia let loose a small giggle. She immediately slapped her hand over her mouth. Sometimes her laugh could be so embarrassing... Maeve and her would be wonderful friends. Olympia nodded in agreement to Maeve's previous statement. Yeah, but you aren't much better! Next time we'll just have to be more careful about the dust. Or, better yet, we don't make another mess at all and avoid situations like this."

She'd meant it as a joke, and hoped Maeve took it that way. Sometimes, she could be trying to make a joke but her tone would be wrong, and others around her would think she was being serious. It was one of the most embarrassing things that happened, but also something that made her mad. It drove her crazy. It was things that she obviously wouldn't say seriously, but yet people took them that way anyways!

Olympia was getting fired just thinking about it, so she took a deep breath, calming her nerves. "My mother has always thought me to be too skinny. She thinks that I'm anorexic as well, but I wouldn't say that. I'm just uncomfortable eating so close to other people. If anything, I wouldn't be surprised if I was much larger than I am now by the end of my time here! The food is so delicious..." Olympia's stomach growls in agreement.

Maeve nodded. "My mother was like that with Dolly, at first, but then she realized that what she was doing could potentially kill her oldest, and favorite, daughter."

Maeve laughed at Olympia's statement. "The food is wo-wonde-wonderful! My brothers both teased me and said it was horrible, so I was ner-nervous to come. I didn't know if I'd be able to make it with bad food. My mother always cooks, and it's good! But her food's got nothing on Hogwarts food."

She brushed her robes off, but most of the dust stayed on her. "Oh, darn it! Mother's going to be-" She cut herself off and grinned. "Never mind. She's not here. It's strange, you know, being away from our mothers' sco-scolding. Nice, but strange."

Maeve laughed again and they walked out of the broom shed, careful not to knock anymore brooms down. She didn't want to make another mess. She already had to clean herself up, and she didn't want to pick up fifty more brooms. "Well, come on, then. We should go eat. And leave befo-before we make another mess." She giggled softly at this final statement. Apparently they were both accident prone. It was kind of funny, actually.

"Yeah. It's wonderful for me. She's never really been a huge fan of me. Sometimes I think she's just pretending. Her favorite is Ardelle, by far. Ardelle is definitely acts like a pureblood. It's kind of sad how stereotypical it is. I'm sure though, that Ardelle is having a wonderful time." Olympia can't help but laugh.

Olympia waits as Maeve steps out of the broom closet. They had agreed to walk to the Great Hall with each other for lunch. After that they would split, of course. The two houses had their own tables, and Olympia would like to get to know the others in her house better before she began exploring the other houses. She hadn't talked to any Ravenclaws yet, come to think of it. Well, with the exception of her sister.

She made a mental note to attempt speaking with one later. She knew she could cheat her own rule by saying hello to her sister in the hallway, but that wouldn't be any fun. She was excited to meet new people, sure, but she was also extremely awkward when it came to striking up a conversation.

"I've never had food so extravagant in my life. My mother was an alright cook, my father couldn't cook to save his life, but Cordelia could cook up a storm in the kitchen. Even Hogwarts food outdoes her own personal creations. And trust me, if I hadn't been so full at breakfast, then I would've stuffed myself. I tend to do that a lot."

Maeve laughed. "Oh, I did stuff myself at brea-breakfast. My friends were too, and we were teasing each other about how much we ate. It sucks, though, that you can't eat with the other houses. I'd love to eat with my sib-siblings at least once." She said softly.

Maeve tried again to brush off her robes, but it didn't work. She was still super dirty. "Ugh! If only scour-scourgify wasn't so hard to cast!" She complained. "I've tried so many times, but it won't come out." She giggled softly. "Well, I'll learn it next year."

"Do you play any i-inst-instruments? I play the piano and the organ." Maeve said, in an attempt to keep the conversation going. She couldn't remember if they'd already talked about that or not. "My siblings, though, only play one each. I don't play the organ too often, though, as we don't have one at home. I have a grand piano for m-mys-myself."

Maeve sighed and rubbed her forehead. She still had a headache from her crash, and the clatter of the brooms had not helped at all. Perhaps she would ask her head of house for a potion to cure her headache. No, Professor Scheinburg wasn't the potions master, but she was still very helpful.

"Well that's what I'm planning on doing" Olympia said, rubbing her stomach. She was starting to get hunger pains, something that happened way too often anymore. She'd always had them since she was born. Her mother always thought it was a sickness, or could be some mental disease. Her father obviously disagreed, and was something they fought about to this day. Even right before she was leaving, and as the train was departing, her mother was screaming at her to "Eat lots of food!"

Olympia watched her feet as she walked. Sometimes, she just couldn't keep her eyes up. Well, unless she was watching the stars, or the clouds. Even occasionally storms. She'd love to watch them all the time, but they didn't happen quite often in Barnet. But at the mention of instruments, her head shot up at once.

"Yes, I play! I play a few different instruments, actually, the piano being one of them. I also play guitar and ukelele. Anything remotely guitar-like, basically. Except for the electric guitar. I can't stand the electric guitar." Olympia shudders at the thought, which pulls a laugh from both her and Maeve.

"Is the piano your favorite? Or is it the organ?"
