Aimless Wandering
It was Saturday morning, and the soft sound of footsteps could be heard in the corridor. Deep in thought was a young Gryffindor with very blue hair swept to the side, and the other side of their hair was dark brown and buzzed. They were wearing black athletic pants, a white shirt, and some black and blue high top sneakers. Deep sapphire blue eyes seemed to be far away, not paying attention to their surroundings. There was a lot on their mind. Earlier in the week their mother had sent them a letter. Catalina had been disappointed that her youngest child was in Gryffindor and not in Ravenclaw like their sister. It didn't surprise the Gryffin too much. Catalina was always looking for some reason to be disappointed in them. Even if they had been sorted into Ravenclaw it wouldn't matter.@Everly Charlton
Snapping out of their thoughts, Keres put on a small smile, hoping nobody had seen the troubled look that had previously been on their face. Putting both hands into the pockets of their black athletic pants sapphire hues scanned the hallway. Taking a right turn the young student began to head towards the grounds in hopes of finding something to occupy their time or even someone to talk to. Keres didn't have any friends as of yet, but was in need of someone to share interests with them. Maybe they would find someone on their walk in the corridors.

█The weather was quite chilly that Saturday morning. The Gryffindor had woken early to take a relaxing walk around the castle before returning to her studying. Feeling a breeze, Shanelle brought her cardigan closer around her body, before stepping outside of the common room carefully. Along with her cardigan, she had worn a pair of jeans that her mother sent to her last week, and a white t-shirt with ankle-high boots.
The girl breathed out with a smile on her face as she closed the portrait behind her, it was a nice morning. Sunlight began to seep through the windows, and she thought she heard creatures chirping in the grounds below. Around the school she strolled, taking a different route than she normally would to class, to explore the castle. As much as she enjoyed the silence and solitude, she longed for a friend to talk to. She had been around the castle for a while now, but has not made a lot of friends since. It would be nice to bump into someone or make a new friend in class.
She walked around the corridors, where she stopped to admire the beautiful sight of old stones that made up the entire castle. She thought she heard footsteps around her, but chose to ignore it and closed her eyes. She took several deep breaths and felt at peace. ‘Time to go back to study.’ She thought to herself, feeling energised and ready.

Aimless Wandering
Humming softly to themselves, the Lion made their way down the vast corridors of the magical castle. Sapphire eyes glancing over all of the moving paintings. The glimmer of sunlight on metal caused sparkles in their eyes. They felt more at peace now than a few moments ago when their thoughts were going frantic. It seemed that the vast castle could calm the storm that is Keres' mind. One short walk down a corridor and they vanished into a calm silence.@Shanelle Meza
Seeing the fellow Gryffindor their lips turned into a smile. Changing direction towards the girl, Keres took their hands out of their pockets. "Hello, sorry if I am interrupting. I am Keres. I was wondering if you would like to walk with me? It's a good way to take a break from studies, or busy school life." They rambled not exactly the greatest at social interactions, but definitely not a shy one. Their bright blue hair almost covering one of their matching blue eyes. This was the prime instance to make a new friend. Especially one in their own house. The young student was not going to miss this opportunity. Even if they come off as a bit weird or chatty.

█Shanelle’s eyes were on the view outside, her entire attention on it. The footsteps she thought she heard a few minutes ago were there again, but she chose to dismiss them again. She shouldn’t be shocked when a voice behind her spoke, but she was.
Shanelle almost screamed when the sudden appearance of a person behind her. “AH- Oh hey!” She smiled sheepishly, hoping she didn’t come off as weird. “Oh, no, you’re not interrupting anything.” She smiled kindly this time, sticking her hand out. “I’m Shanelle Meza, Gryffindor.” She points to her Gryffindor tie, the only part of her outfit that has Gryffindor accents.
“I’d love to join you on your walk! I really need a break.” Shanelle said, laughing. Her eyes then scanned her housemate. Their bright blue and brown hair made them stand out, and they looked sporty, with the pants and the white shirt. Their bright blue eyes also startlingly sparkly. Saying that made her sound like a prissy girl, but their eyes were amazingly gorgeous. Seems like a good person. They were around the same height as she was, so she would most likely be a first year too. She took a step to the left, leading the other Gryffindor to walk along the corridor.
“So how’s studying going for you? The exams are near. Is this your first year as well? Do you have a lot of friends? What’s your favourite class? Favourite teacher? You are also a Gryffindor, right?” She blushes then, after realising she had asked a little too many questions. She had hoped she didn’t come off as weird and offensive. She really wanted a friend, and they seemed like a nice person.

When the second year wasn't at class, Everly could be found in a variety of places. She liked to be in a new place every day as if Hogwarts wasn't already big enough. Maybe one day you'd find her outside, or in the common room, or the Great Hall. Maybe with a book, maybe with some homework, maybe with a new friend. Whether they were good changes or bad changes, she had yet to find out.
"Hey!" she called out brightly as she neared the two, a small smile toying at her face. She didn't remember their names nor their faces, but it was reasonable to assume that she'd at least seen them before, considering they occupied the same spaces. "What are you two doing inside? It's rather nice out there," Everly said, pointing at a window across from them.

█Shanelle was still waiting for a response, when she heard a voice. Yet another Gryffindor appeared, a cheerful and bright girl that looked a little older than her. Shanelle, being as cheerful as ever, she grinned as the girl approached them.
“Hi! It’s such a nice day I thought I might take a walk. That’s where I met Keres.” She said, gesturing to the Gryffindor next to her. “What brings you out he-” Shanelle proceeded to return the question, but a thought interrupted her question. Again, for the hundredth time, she had forgotten the most important thing when meeting a new person.
“Oh shoot! I’m sorry, I’m Shanelle Meza, nice to meet you.” Since the girl had her jacket and bag on both of her arms, she quickly shifted the items onto her left arm so her right hand would be free to perform a handshake, like she always does Except this time she wanted to do something else.
As usual, Shanelle stuck her hand out, but instead of having it sideways, for a handshake, she curled her fingers into a fist. “Fistbump?” She suggested with a friendly smile. She had actually never done one before, which was kind of weird for an outgoing Gryffindor, but she always thought it was something that cool people do.
Just so Keres doesn’t feel left out, she offers her other hand, by placing her stuff on the ground, forming a fist as well. She crossed her arms, using her right hand to fistbump the older girl to her left, and left hand to Keres on her right.
