Olympia thought for a moment. "Maybe you could call her Ophe? That would help shorten it. Maybe then you could say it without the stutter. But it doesn't bother me. I think it'd be a goal to achieve to not stutter on a name that hard. But again, your stutter doesn't bother me." Grinning, Olympia took another look at her potion. Still teal.
Looking over Maeve's shoulder, she could see Maeve stirring her potion, which had somehow turned a light purple color. She hadn't seen the colors change in a potion ever before. She hadn't been looking when Maeve fixed her potion; she had been surveying the class and its students. It didn't take long for the color to change back, meaning Maeve must've been stirring for a little while now. How unobservant was she to not notice that before?
Olympia nearly jumped when the professor's voice rang out, cutting previous conversations to nothing with her voice. "We have fifteen minutes left of class. By now, your potions should be finished. I will be coming around and leaving a piece of parchment by your cauldron indicating how you did while you clean up any extra supplies you may have left. I'll bottle your potions for you if you did well, and will leave a note on your parchement saying why or why not I've bottled your creation." Sighing, Olympia scraped excess Bezoar powder into her hand, carrying it to the trash.

Maeve smiled. "Maybe. I don't know if she'd like it, though."
When her potion was back to its normal color, Maeve relaxed. The class was almost over, and everything seemed like smooth sailing for the rest of the day. "I think we'll get an Outsta-outstanding for sure!" She said cheerfully, cleaning up her station with a flick of her wand.
Maeve waited patiently for the class to end. Sitting in this room for so long reminded her just how much she hated potion-making. It was definitely low on her list of things to do, but it was just above Herbology. That was her worst class. As of now, she had a 'p' average in it. Embarrassing, but true.
Maeve organized flipped absentmindedly through her books as she waited. She was open to talking with Olly, if that's what she wanted, but they were both silent at the moment. No reason to waste a perfectly good silence. It was good for reading.
"Alright, class dismissed!" The professor called out shortly. In a flurry of papers and people, everyone started to leave.
"So, same seat, same time to-tomor-tomorrow?" Maeve asked cheekily, grinning at Olympia. She knew the Hufflepuffs and Slytherins had potions two times with each other, back-to-back, so Olly had almost no choice but to agree.

"Yeah, of course!" Olympia called out as she began walking back to her and Maeve's table. When she arrives, she sees the note, and her potion gone. Along with unmentioned homework. Olympia's face drops, but there isn't much she could do about it. After all, homework was expected. Just not right away, apparently.
Olympia has some free time coming up after this class, something she's greatly looking forward to. She wonders if Maeve has it too, but she doesn't want to ask. Even though they've been talking the entire class, she's still quite shy around the Sltherin girl. Maybe they'll see each other again throughout the day. But right now, she's looking forward to a nap.
Olympia slept on the train coming to Hogwarts, but she'd been unable to sleep the night before. She stayed up the entire night, until the time she was supposed to wake up, due to restlessness. She had been both nervous and excited for her time at Hogwarts. But, she is now regretting that very much. Even on the train, she'd only slept for around a half an hour. She'd been too busy going through her things and eating trolley candy to do anything else.

The class was ending, but Maeve had one more question for Olly. "So, have you been exci-excited for Hogwarts for a long time? I know I have." She said brightly.
"When I was little, my parents would tell us grand stories about this mag-magical school. Well, my father would. Mother went to Beau-Beauxba-Beauxbatons. She hoped Dolly and I would go, but we refu-refused. Hogwarts seemed too wonderful to pass up." Maeve explained. She smiled. "But, I did tour the French school. Five years ago, when Dolly was trying to fig-figure where to go."
"It was grand! But Hogwarts was bet-better." Maeve said. "If Dolly had gone to that school, I wouldn't be here, so I'm glad she chose this school."
Maeve shut her book and stuffed everything into her bag. During her free period, which was next, she was going to explore the school. She had been here once before, when she was six. They were touring the school the year before Dahlia had to decide where to go. Maeve had wandered off, and gotten lost. She had been found by a professor, but not before she found long corridor full of portraits. They had talked to her and reassured her, as she had been crying. Now she wanted to find that corridor again, and thank the portraits.

"I've always been skeptical about coming here. Trust me, I've been excited about it,
but it's just such a big school I've been afraid of getting lost. After all, the staircases move here. I could be trying to go somewhere and I wouldn't realize they'd moved and soon I'm lost. Since I'm a first year, I haven't learned the layout of the entire school quite yet." Olympia grinned sheepishly, picking up her things.
Olympia was eager to escape class. She had a free period after this, and she wanted to explore the school more. She didn't necessarily want to stop talking to Maeve. She found their conversations interesting, and hoped to see her around the hallways more. Maybe she'd bump into her while heading to another one of her classes. Or better yet, if she had more classes with Maeve. Who knew.
There was only about two minutes left of class. Hoisting herself up, Olympia jumped up onto the tabletop. Once she earned a few disappointed and stern looks her way, she slid down, her cheeks flushing red. "I'm still getting used to everything here. It's always have I've sat, I just didn't know if they'd be alright with that here..." Olympia trailed off, trying to explain herself. Olympia slipped her belongings into her bag, glancing at the clock.

Maeve glanced at the clock as well. Darn, two minutes left. She was really enjoying her conversation with Olympia. Well, they would probably see each other around the school. They'd be there for a while, after all.
"This was nice, Olly. Not too many people have gone out of their way to ta-talk to me." She said honestly, grinning widely. "I'll see you around, then?"
Maeve finished gathering her stuff just as the teacher dismissed them. "Well, bye, Olly!" She called, walking out of the classroom. She needed to drop her stuff off in her dorm and then start exploring.
Maybe she'd run into Olympia while she was exploring. Then they could explore together. That would be fun! Maeve used to explore the far reaches of the Turner Manor when she was little, and she was hoping to do the same at Hogwarts. Maybe, with time and careful exploration, she would know the layout of the entire school! Maeve knew all the good hiding spots in her house, and often hid to get away from everyone. She could do the same here at Hogwarts.
Maeve wasn't used to the hustle and bustle of so many people, so she would definitely use any and probably all hiding places she found during her years at Hogwarts.

Olympia grinned at Maeve, watching the teacher as she herself watched the clock, waiting to dismiss the ecstatic students. Obviously, she wasn't the only one excited to finish out her day. "I hope I'll see you around, Maeve" Olympia said, just as the teacher dismissed the students.
Laying the strap of her bag on her shoulder, she slipped through it, letting the bag rest on her hip. When she walked out of the classroom, she felt a sudden burst of warm air. It had been cold in the classroom, but she didn't think it'd been that frigid.
Olympia started up the stairs to the Hufflepuff dorms. She wanted to drop off her things before beginning to explore. She hadn't planned on carrying her things around all the while.
She nearly ran into, it seemed, hundreds of people in the hallways. She hadn't been paying much attention to where she was going, rather, the decorations on the walls. They were lined and stock full of portraits of what she guessed were famous wizards. She recognized a few of them, but most she didn't know.
The door to the Hufflepuff dorm swung open, revealing the calming environment she'd been welcomed to before. With a sigh of satisfaction, she walked to the girls' dorm, dropped her things on her bed, and went off.
