Oh the Library at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Sometimes it was empty and abandoned - barely unoccupied except for some precocious Ravenclaws or other students that liked to use the space to relax. And other times, like now, it was a whirlwind of hushed chatter, books being rustled around, quills scratching feverishly across parchment, and the groans of students attempting to finish their abounding assignments.

Simon had an essay due as well in History of Magic. He was to learn about the Four Founders of the school and relate to which he felt most alike. Naturally, he gravitated toward Helena Hufflepuff but not only because he was in the house which bared her name, but because she was the one that spoke out most predominately on allowing all students of magic into Hogwarts - even for those like him who were a dhampir. Now maybe he wouldn't come right out in his essay and claim that, as he liked to sort of keep that hushed, but it was somewhat implied there. Besides, he was pretty sure all his professors knew, even if he didn't want them to. They probably had a list of all the halfbreeds.

Simon went to re-shelve his book and when he went to do so, he passed table upon table of books stacked up still waiting to be put away. Glancing around, he saw the library elves, Tolly and Jo, with large stacks in each hand and heading from another large mountain of books and over to the shelves where they belonged to place back. They certainly, and literally, had their hands full. Simon decided he too would help and began to stack up some of the books from one of the nearby tables. He had some extra time and hoped maybe he could help out a little.

It was not a good day for her and she was hoping nothing worst could happen. Her end result in today's potion class was a like a sludge that made the whole class laugh. Worsening to that she didn't have Herbology that day. She felt exhausted and taught of spending time alone. It was difficult to find a lonely place in the nearest surrounding because most of the places around her was always crowded. She doesn't want to break the rules so she was confused where she can be alone. Her taught went to every place possible (only to the places she had gone) and finally had two options. One was the library and the other was the rest room. She also knew that rest room was for talkative ghosts, so decided to the other option.

Her legs led her to the most lovely place, she felt like she was in her home town when she visits the library (but the library was 10 times bigger than the muggle one). She went inside and sat beside a shelf so strangers don't see her. She has this peculiar habit, when she wants to talk she shoots questions to strangers but if she doesn't want to talk she stay silent and alone even with the people she loved.

She took a random book from the shelf that hid her and opened a page. She didn't notice the book, it would have been the last thing she would have done if she was not in that bad mood. She suddenly heard noises, she taught it was from the left corner of the beautifully smelling world. She raised from the seat leaving the book open to see what it was.

She saw a boy with two elves arranging the books, she was pleased to see that. Her mood was a little better than before. She taught not to disturb them and went back to her place, but something stopped her. She wanted to see the boy's face who was helping the elves, she tired her best to see the face. When she saw that muscular body's eyes, she froze. She surely knew he did not belong to the first year because of his big muscular body. Before she could notice that she was staring him she was caught by that same boy...

It was that odd sort of predicament that one couldn't really explain. It wasn't so much paranoia because with that, you thought someone was threatening you and Simon Kincaid didn't feel threatened as he helped Jo and Tolly. He grabbed a large stack of the books and began toward the History of Magic section where these particular ones all seemed to go.

Nope, it was scopaesthesia he was thinking of, or that psychic starting effect. It's a common feeling, and despite it's phrasing it has nothing to do with being psychic. No, Simon Kincaid was not a seer. He possessed instead the dhampir classification of being. That was what was helping him right now carry such a large stack with ease.

At first he put the feeling aside and focused on the top book, finding it's correct spot on the shelf before going to the next. When he got down to about three books left though he glanced over his shoulder to where the girl sat and saw her looking directly at him. So she HAD been staring. He knew it.

She probably just needed a book that he had or was curious if he had one she needed.

Simon gave her a little smile before looking away to reshelf the last remaining three then came up to her. "Hey," he said softly, not doing his usual 'Sup or Hey girl, hey when meeting someone new. That just didn't seem appropriate here in the situation of a girl just probably trying to do some of that last minute book cramming before an exam or something. No need for Simon to get flirty friendly at the moment. "Anything I can help you with?" he asked kindly.

Nat was nervous at that moment, she taught she was caught by the boy. But he smiled at her. 'Why would he smile at a girl whom he had never spoken before?', she taught to herself. When the boy went to another shelf, she taught he didn't see her really. But suddenly when he approached her, her hair color changed to grey because of that sudden fear. Nat was damn sure that she was looking like a grandma. But that didn't bother her, because he was ready to help her. That was so kind of that boy, she taught wrong about him. His kind voice was the only pleasant thing for that day. "Hey". After a great pause, she answered the question. "I don't know myself. Don't thing I'm a fool or something. It's just the day that's making me to talk like this. It took the hell out of me. So I came to my favorite place to spend some time alone. Didn't expect students at this time. And it's so kind of you helping them." She pointed the elves. "Sorry if I had disturbed you. You can continue your service." Atleast now she hoped for her hair color come back to normal. "By the way, I'm Natasha Schneider. How about you?" (She wants to be alone but still loves to talk to new faces. She is difficult to understand and tough to gain her trust, but once gained it's difficult to cheat on it)

@Introductions with @Natasha Schneider

"I think I've got some time to spare," he said as he took the books that still remained in his hands and set them down on the floor before finding a place near the other girl. He had seen her in the Common Room once, he believed, when he was heading out and she was heading in. "Pleasure to meet you, Natasha Schneider," he said as he brought his hand out. Handshakes were sadly becoming far too old fashioned and he wanted to keep such a greeting alive. "Simon. Simon Kincaid. Fellow 'puff."

She mentioned about wanting to come to be by herself after a hard day which might have provided some peace for some people. For someone like Simon, a hard day invited friendships to help him get through it, to over come it, to not focus on it. Then again, this particular boy thrived on human interaction and maybe not everyone was the same. Still, by making introductions he was pretty sure that he was welcomed.

"Want to talk about your day? I'm a pretty good listener,"
he said as he leaned his head back. "Or I could try my hat at counselor or therapist or mentor if you should need any assistance."

'Simon. Simon Kincaid. Fellow 'puff.' She was happy to meet a fellow member from her house. And yes! she had seen him many times in the common room. She extended her hands for the handshake, it was so good of Simon trying for an handshake even after it being termed as 'old-fashioned'. Nat doesn't change to trends instantly like others, it takes time for her (a lot of time). Of course she loves the warmth of the good handshake given.

"A therapist", she laughed. She doesn't need one for just one bad day, the day would become better tomorrow (that's what she hopes for). "Thank you, and it's so great of you offering your time in listening to my boring and dreadful day. But I don't want to spoil your mood by my bad dramas. And surely not waste your precious time in helping to arrange the books."

"Hope I didn't take much of your time. Will catch up in the common room later, Good Night!!"

She was ready to leave her heaven, but she doesn't want to, because this place is peace to her. But she can't stay now either. She taught for a moment. Then turned back to her fellow 'puff."Can I help you in arranging the books, If I don't bother you?"

One more try for the day. Even if it goes like a sludge she wouldn't bother today!!

Eager to speak with @Natasha Schneider

"I'd love some help," he said with a bright smile, glad their interaction wasn't over. Simon motioned for her to follow him as he lead her over to a stack of books that were rested upon one of the wooden tables near the center of the Library. "Reshelving these ones and you're most welcome to help. Front section here is all Herbology and the back is more History of Magic." He was doing the Herbology books first and grabbed about seven of them effortlesslsy but realized how odd that must look so he quickly brought two back down on the stack and now only had five. He glanced over to Natasha, a little sign of guilt, but gave her a smile. No harm done, right? Hopefully.

"But really, we can talk and reshelve at the same time. Catch me up on your day. Talk to me," he didn't like to see anyone down and if she was afraid of telling him a little drama, well, he was like a magnet for drama these days it seemed. Granted, his was mostly relationship drama but it still was met with pain, heartache, a broken nose...

He had a book in his hands about Shrivelfigs and once they got to the Herbology section he scanned the spines of the books so he could make sure the book in his hands got to it's correct location. Nothing was more frustrating than when the books got out of order but the two library elves, along with the school librarian, did a very good job keeping them straight.

Finally, a spark in the dark!! She was over-joyed by his bright smile. Him wanting help to arrange the books is actually helping Nat to put the boring day at her back. She was pleased to hear some goods words at least at the end of the day. "That's great!!", she let out her over-joy in her voice."Sorry", she said and smiled because she knew she was in the library. Simon explained the shelves for her to arrange,"Got it."She found Simon placed back two books and smiled at her. Not knowing what to do, she smiled back.

The tension was cut by Simon, but still Nat doesn't want to recall her bad day. But, she can't let the question unanswered."Nothing big, potion lessons are no good. Maybe not for me. It would be good if someone teaches until it goes into my head." She also made sure that the books she brought are placed in the right shelf. So verified it twice before placing them.

"Tell me about your day, let me hear something good",she loves to hear from others. Listening to others stories was her hobby! Even though she badly wanted to go to bed, she would love to hear some bedtime stories!! :)

Talking with @Natasha Schneider

"I woke up early this morning and took in my shower and then expected to get to work on a History of Magic essay that's due next week, only I found some music inspiration instead. I decided to skip breakfast in the Great Hall and went to the Rehearsal Room instead and got two additional stanzas completed on one of my compositions I've been working on,"
he said with a bright smile with every word. That wasn't just something good in his mind, that was something GREAT! Music was a big part of who he was and he always was working on a couple works at any given time. Usually the ideas swirled around so quickly that he just couldn't single them out and grasp hold of anything in particular.

"I bet we could ask the Potions' professor to use the Potions Room in the off hours, if you'd like. Maybe we could try and brew up some of the ones you're having difficulty with and pinpoint the problem areas." Although, this was Simon Kincaid, who at one class had to be taken to the Hospital Wing because a potion blew up in his and his partner's face because the two were being so fickle with one another that they didn't focus on the task at hand. Maybe he wasn't the best tutor in the subject.
