Shall I say that I have a friend who calmly catches cockroaches with her bare hands, whose reason is because she feels sorry if they fall into the hands of people who might want to kill them...

Do you have something like a curtain rod in your room? You could try to kill it with that rod, and then your far away from it

Maybe first try to get dressed if that's possible, maybe you have some clothes laying around in your room? Maybe the roach has moved when you are done

Do you have a long object such as a... broom or something? Hit it with that. It may not kill it but it won't move.
Or call for your doggies (unless the door is closed)
