It had only been a few days since he'd come to Hogwarts. The first day had passed by relatively quickly and the second day had been an eye-opener when it came to classes. Some of the things had been boring and he'd almost fallen asleep, whereas other had been interesting and provoked great curiosity on his part. And then there was one that greatly frustrated and interested him at the same time. And now, it was Friday and there were no classes today, as it was the start of the weekend, since classes had ended. That meant students had lots of free time.

Many senior students tended to go to Hogsmeade, or visited other places outside of Hogwarts. One of these days Kim would do so too, even if First Years weren't allowed to. There were always those fake permission slips his parents had told him about back at home. But right now, Kim just wanted to explore the castle. He'd only been there for a few days and Hogwarts made him intrigued, what with the castle constantly shifting and moving around all the time.

There was so much to explore!

So therefore, there was really no need to go outside of Hogwarts for now.

Kim decided to pay a visit to the Hogwarts Library. He'd heard a lot about it from his parents and other wizarding folk. Eventually finding his way down to the ground floor of the castle, he looked up at the dark oak doors that came together to separate the room from the hall it bordered. Reaching out, he turned the single silver doorknob and the door opened under his touch. As he moved inside, Kim looked around a bit.

There were so many shelves and so many books all over the place.

He saw a few students stretching up their hands to get a book and the book flying down into their hands. That was the benefit of being a magical library, although Kim was used to seeing things like this. It only took him a few minutes to find what he was looking for, a potions book. But not just any book, it was a book written by the same author of Magical Drafts and Potions, which was on the First Year reading list for Potions class. He reached up to grab it.

The book flew down into his hand and Kim looked around for a place to crash. Ah, behind the shelves was a sitting area with a dozen armchairs, and luckily the place was unoccupied at the moment. Kim knew it probably wouldn't be for long, so it was best to take advantage of the lack of students for as long as possible. He quickly went over to the place and took a seat on one of the armchairs, choosing the one nearest to the shelves in case other people came over.

And then, he opened the book.

Potion Opuscule by Arsenius Jigger. Kim was curious to see what was written inside.

Soon, he became so absorbed in what he was reading that he'd completely forgotten he was sitting in the library and not in his dorm room.

Anselm decided to go to the Hogwarts library, he had heard about it many times, it was said to be very big and there was a lot of stuff there. The young boy wanted to check it out for himself.

That wasn't the only reason he came, he wanted to continue discovering this great castle even if he knew he would never be able to know everything. But he also hoped to learn from books. Ans liked to read even though it was not his favourite pastime.

The Hufflepuff then entered the library. He walked around, amazed by the shelves full of books, by the tables, by the rather silent students. It made him want to, approaching the first shelf, he runs his hand over the many books. Lightly touching them.

Ans wanted to read them all, right now. But there were far too many, it seemed impossible. So the boy starts by choosing one, that would be a good start. But which one? Which subject? Which department? Which date? Which format? He was a bit lost, trying to find the theme of the shelf he was standing in front of. All the books seem to have something to do with Quidditch.

As he read, he stifled a yawn.

It wasn't that he was sleepy, it was just that he happened to yawn.

Some students passed by, looking at the books on the shelves and he watched them go about their business. It was typical behavior. A few of them even chattered quietly to themselves. Kim idly thought about the homework he'd gotten from the first day of his classes. He couldn't wait to see what it would be like starting next week, as it would be the first full week of classes for the semester. Kim also liked that half his classes were on MWFs and the other half took place on TTHs.

It was a nice mixup of things. Not one to procrastinate, unless there was a specific reason to do so, Kim was planning on doing some of the homework later on that afternoon. But if something unexpected happened, he'd probably end up doing it at night instead. And then whatever was left over would be finished the following day, most likely after lunchtime. As his thoughts drifted and his eyes wandered, a freckled, round-faced and slender boy came into his vision. He stared at him.

But at the same time, didn't realize he was doing so. Kim wasn't really paying much attention to what he was doing, as his mind was elsewhere at the time.

And then he came back to reality.

The boy he was presently looking at had bluish-purple hair and looked lost for some reason. Kim tilted his head to the side as he continued to gaze at him. A faint smirk came to his lips. The Hufflepuff reminded him of a chicken with how he was moving his head from side to side. It was pretty obvious he was looking for something in particular, or why all the head movements? Curiosity aroused, Kim got up from his chair and made his way over to the shelf where he was at.

He glanced over the shelf and saw the titles were all referring to Quidditch.

A shudder ran down his spine. Best avoid those. Kim leaned up against the side of the opposite bookcase and looked down at the shorter boy before him. "You looking for something in particular? Or you just can't decide which Quidditch book to pick up?" He asked, waiting to see how the stranger would respond. Hopefully it wouldn't be related to that damned Quidditch and it was a mistake the boy was hanging around this area. One could only hope so.
