Adriel blinked in slight shock at the girl, Kaylee, who had bounded up to the table. Adriel was aware of her own obnoxiousness, but this was on a whole new level. She was completely unsure of how to react.
Yet, Adriel was impatient with people like this.
"I, for one, am not a Hufflepuff," she said sternly, taking on the slightly annoyed voice that came out so rarely that even she was unfamiliar with it. There was nothing wrong with being a Hufflepuff, of course, but Adriel was just irritated. It took quite a lot to irritate such a persona that many people found irritating, but here she was, irritated. She would happily hold a conversation with someone, but, to be spoken over, to be spoken for... she disliked it thoroughly. She could speak for herself, there was no doubt about that. Yet this girl was simply weaving together a person that was not Adriel.
"And I don't know who you are, making assumptions like this about who we are. I've never been to Hogsmeade a day in my life, and if you'd let me speak for myself, perhaps you would've found this out," she added, making sure that her Irish accent came through clearly to this girl. She hoped that her stern look and voice would be enough for Kaylee. Adriel wasn't one to insult another person, but she certainly was close at this point. She hoped that the girl would shoo away and give Adriel some time to decompress. She disliked getting so snappy, but it wasn't always something she could control.
As Justin addressed the ruckus, Adriel turned to him and did her best not to snap at the boy in exasperation.
"Apologies, your highness," she muttered. She watched as the boy got up and moved to brood. She could remember her own brother going through such a brooding phase, and she knew better not to push her luck with again reaching out to the boy.
At this point, he could've stayed up here to brood. I would've happily- or, rather, irritatedly, joined him, she thought, pulling open her potions book and beginning to aggressively peruse the first chapters.

Frost was confused. It was so weird. She was just confused.
A fellow Hufflepuff, Kaylee, had introduced herself and then had then made a whole conversation with herself, Frost and Frost’s new acquaintance, Adriel.
The mood had just turned sour in a matter of minutes. Justin had moved away and Adriel seemed to be in a bitter mood. Wolverina seemed angry with Frost.
What in Merlin’s name just happened.
Everything flew by so fast for Frost. She was sure Kaylee didn’t mean to upset Adriel. She was definitely sure she wasn’t trying to anger Wolverina or Justin. Did that think she was a horrible person who they couldn’t stand?
Frost felt the need to apologize. She felt as if she has done something wrong.
She decides not to disturb Justin or Wolverina, so she writes a note on a small piece of paper for each of them. She would deal with Adriel and Kaylee herself.
She sits cross legged in her seat and slumps down. What did she do wrong this time?
She tries to comfort and cheer up Adriel. Maybe she could fix things.
She gently taps Adriel’s shoulder.
“Hey, Adriel? What just happened. Are you okay, not to seem rude, but you seem mad.”
She rests her head on the table, a small frown playing on her lips.
She fiddles with her yellow and black robes while awaiting Adriel’s reply.

Sighing, Frost carefully placed a note on Justin’s and Wolverina’s desks.Sorry for upsetting you in any way. I really didn’t mean it. I apologize for anything I did.

Kaylee? Not to seem rude, but can you please not write things for us? It gives us a chance to reply for ourselves and you can get to learn things from our characters. Thank you!

Wolf, of course, did not have time for such ridiculous actions from this girl and had eyes on Kaylee, no longer really minding frost but having an instant hatred for the very interruptive girl who seemed to piss off not just here, but the other students in here as well.
She seemed to forget it for a moment and smiled somewhat at Justin as he put the thing that he had missed down in his notes, wow was she actually making friends? Seems like it. As he sternly told them to quieten down she couldn't agree more but however, was surprised by 'the gift' she had received from him. Earplugs, blessings from the gods.
With a sudden big smile on her face, the girl seemed in a much more happier mood and nodded back to the Gryffindor boy, seems to have grown some type of bond with him even if it was strange.
Tapping the desk so he could hear her she took the earbuds out of their case and waved over to him. "Thank you..." She trailed off and just watched the three other girls with a small frown "What a weird and confusing way to start class am I right?" She asked with her hands in a shrug.
Not saying much more she put the earplugs in and went back to doing her work, hoping she'd be a straight-A student.

Justin frowned as he watched Adriel get mad at Kaylee. This would be an interesting potions class to say the least. He just hoped they would be quiet. He for one needed the silence to read and take notes, and Wolf seemed to hate the loudness. "Adriel, don't call me your highness. That's pushing it."
Seeing the note Frost gave him he simply nodded as to say, Thanks no hard feelings. Then he looked back down at his book and began his notes again.
He nodded at Wolverina. "Welcome."Justin said quietly. They seemed to make her spirits in better mood. Maybe wolf would want to be his friend. He knew it was a long shot. He would ask her after he wrote down his notes.
On a small piece of parchment Justin wrote down, friends? And walked over to Wolf's desk. Laid the paper down and walked back to his desk in the corner.
He already had two whole pages of notes written in his neat hand writing. Maybe if he got done early he could start on tomorrow's notes, but he probably wouldn't get it done soon. Along with all the noise. People are to loud sometimes and he couldn't concentrate.

At the hand on her shoulder, Adriel immediately deflated. She avoided looking into the eyes of her peers and tried to sink into her robes. She wondered if she could learn apparition before she had to speak again.
Oh, joy. I've caused a scene again, haven't I? she thought, wondering if she could simply melt into a sticky potion and drip down to the cracks in the floor. But, no, she had to clean this up, or try to, before it got worse. She really hadn't meant to snap, but both Justin's dreadful attitude and Kaylee's obnoxious words had struck her just right. She tried not to be impatient, really, but sometimes she could not help herself.
She sighed, and she laughed nervously, preparing to come up with something to brush over the situation.
"Sorry, I... I'm just... lacking sleep," she started. Yeah, that would do the trick, wouldn't it? "I'm a bit irritable, I suppose, and... well, maybe I should just excuse myself."
She felt there was no way to revive the situation. Cursing her impatience, she glanced furtively at the reactions of her peers. No, it wasn't good. She wished she had an invisibility cloak to hide her face.

Potions Class
Wolf had to admit this was one weird way to start potions class, but hey at least she got a friend out of it? Or at least she thought so, not to mention she saw Frost in a new light and despite her rather out of control behavior that didn't mean she couldn't be nice, she had her moments and right now she had a rare moment of calm. It was a nice change from the normal isolation.
Looking back to her notes after Justin got the message she scrawled back on her notes now not in such a bad mood, in fact, she was concentrating a lot better with these things, they had blocked out the noise rather well.
That's when an odd piece of parchment made it's way to her desk as she grabbed it with confusion not really seeing that it was the boy she had bonded with that gave it to her until she noticed what it said. She knew it was his handwriting since she had taken a glance at it while giving him her book, wait, was that creepy? Maybe, maybe not. She had no idea since interaction with people was not her forte. In fact, Wolf was very bad at it.
Quietly writing down her answer she grabbed all her stuff and moved over to him, plopping it down a chair away from his desk since she still gave him that much-needed space before sliding him back the piece of paper. Sure, it's nice to have a friend
The girl then grabbed her book and opened it up to the lesson they were on, pushing it in between them while looking down. This was a somewhat new side of Wolf, shy and tentative. "So um...If you don't have a book of your own yet, we can share mine or in case you missed something" She noticed he seemed somewhat unfocused and rummaged in her bag before pulling out two cotton balls and opening her hand out if he wanted them. "I know they aren't as good as ear plugs but they are something?"
