Gemini hated school work, she would rather be outside exploring rather then stuck inside most of the day. She was not sure how she made her way into the library. She could be outside exploring the gounds. She growned in frustration as she pulled her books out of bag in frustration. What was the point of school work anyway? She could be doing so much more outside.

Gemini looked around the library at other students. She thought all of them looked like they were doing something important and did not understand how they could just be sitting there quietly without wanting to move. She thought most of them looked like older students anyway, they probably no longer cared about anything but finishing their work.

"I don't want to do this." Gemini growned in frustration as she shoved her book away from her. "What would happen if i did not do work?" she questioned herself. She did not understand the need for the work. She could spend her days outside and did not really care about using magic anyway. If she wanted to learn about magic she would have asked her father to teach her. She had been excited to come to hogwarts but did not think it was going to be so much work.

Rayne had homework, a considerable ammount as well, which is why they were heading to the library. The last week, they had been rather busy and just not had the opportunity to get on with any work. Whenever they sat down to do it, something just seemed to get in the way. They had decided the library would be best. It was quiet, and an environment with less opportunities to procrastinate. They had learnt their lesson about doing homework in the common room from an evening not long ago now. They had been writing an essay, as a couple older Hufflepuffs were playing a passionate game of exploding snap. (Rayne was pretty sure ethat was the name) True to it's title, the game was more that slightly explosive, which is rather inconvenient for studies.

The walk to the library was slow, partially due to the sheer amount of books Rayne was carrying, but also due simply to circumstances. Rayne was rather unfocused, so they got lost more than once. They ended up almost walking into doors and pillars, and at one point walked through a ghost. This is not the most pleasant experience, for anyone interested. Even the castle seemed to be being particularly annoying, stairs shifting to the most inconvenient places, and at an extremely slow pace. (The speed might have been Rayne's imagination.)

They made it eventually and stepped through the grand doors. Instantly they wanted to give up the idea of study and curl up with a book. No. Rayne thought to themselves. I'm here to do homework, and that's what I'm doing. They said to themselves firmly. They decided to start with herbology. They had to write out an information sheet about a plant. Rayne placed their book on a table, grabbed a sheet of parchment and grabbed a quill. They quickly leafed through the book, finding the right page for this plant. With a sigh, they began, writing out the information. It wasn't a difficult piece of work, and once they started, they found themselve quite enjoying it. The parchment piece soon filled, and Rayne had one less assignment to do. The surrounding area was quite quiet, a few people having quiet conversations, the sound of quills on paper.

Rayne's attention was caught by a girl, with an impatient look on her face. She was fidgeting slightly, possibly struggling to focus. Rayne knew they should probally leave the girl be, and continue with their own homework, but part of them was desperate to go and say hello, and see if perhaps they could help. They stood, soundless moving to where the girl sat.
'Hiya,' they said quietly, slightly regretting their decision. 'You look like your struggling to focus and I wondered if you wanted a hand?' This was more awkward than Rayne had anticipated, they didn't want to come off as patronising.
'I'm Rayne, by the way. Mind if I sit?' They asked, gesturing to a nearby seat.

Gemini nearly jumped out of her seat when someone started talking too her. She was so focused on her frustration that she as no longer paying attentiont to her surroundings. "Oh, hello," she mutttered slightly in frustration as she looked at the book in front of her. She glanced back up at the girl and sighed. "School work is so frustrating," she muttered as she nodded to the chair on the other side of the table.

"Sure sit down." She layed her head on the table with a frustrated sigh before introducing herself to the girl. "I'm Gemini, but you can call be Gem or Mini." She introduced herself as she looked back up at the girl again and decided she actually needed to do the work.

"Why is school work so difficult?" She asked the girl across from her as she pulled the book back closer to her and squinted down at the words. She did not even think poeple actually liked school work. She thought people who did like school work kind of wierd, it was always so boring and something she was not interested. "Do you like school work?" she questioned the girl. She did not really like school work and found people who idd wiered, but she was not going to make fun of someone for something they liked.
