River stood out on the gardens of Beauxbâxtons, she held her broom in one hand, and her wand in the other, she had been out for a nice broom ride, her friend had said they would come with her, but they had forgotten about it, so River had gone alone, it had been a nice calming ride, that had really cleared her mind.Writing as NPC River Fayre
As she stood there a owl flew towards her, River took the letter and opened it up, it was from Trix!
She read through it quickly before sitting down to write a reply.

While studying one afternoon in the Quidditch stands, Trix idly fingered their wand. They played with it as they read, trying to keep concentration. They were chewing on the end of their wand when the owl came swooping by. At first it just flew past the stunned child, as if missing it's target. She watched it correct itself and come in for landing. She giggled and lifted her arm, allowing the giant bird to land. Its talons dug into her arm and the bird was so heavy, but her little 12 year old arms kept him aloft with young, sinewy muscles. The bird handed over the letter, and Trix let it hop onto the bleachers as she read the letter. Once finished, she made sure the bird was still there and began to write a reply.
Smiling they beckoned to the owl, who glided over and gently rested on their knee. "Take this back to River, please!" the wise owl nodded it's feathered head and took the letter from their hand, taking off into the afternoon sun.Dearest River,
I wish I had a broom! I would fly it every day! Right now I use the school brooms. I recently got the second string chaser position! I'm excited to play! Truthfully, I'm a little nervous. I'm trying to get used to heights, so I'm writing this on top of the Quidditch stands. It's so nice up here, with just the wind to bother you. And the stands get packed during games! I hope I'll do well.
It's terrible how our parents think we can't handle this stuff! I'm old enough to know about dangers this school might possess. I'm going to ask a professor about it tomorrow. I don't want to jump to conclusions. I wish my parents treated me with more respect, like the young fella I am. Oh well. One day they will have to tell me what's up. I'll let you know!
Do you have a Quidditch pitch and championship at Beauxbaton? If so would you go out for the team? It might be cool to play together some day.

River had been rather busy for most that week, so when she had gotten a letter from Trix she had put it in her dorm and forgotten about it, she had not meant to forget, but life had swept her off her feet, and she had forgotten about everything but her schooling.Writing as NPC River Fayre
And at that, she had been straining to keep up with her schooling.
It was now Friday, five days after getting her letter, and River finally opened it up and read it,
Before pulling out her quill and parchment to write a long over due letter.
River thought for a moment, she thought about what to say next, and then decided to just stay simple.Dear Trix,
I'm very sorry that this has most likely come in so late, I've been ever so busy, and I have not managed to get the time to write back to you, forgive me.
it is quite sad that our parents don't think we can handle everything, I often try to get info out of them, but my Mother and father are very set in their ways once the decide something, it stays that way, it's rather annoying, to be honest, but I'll get by without knowing some thinks,
River folded up the letter and then found a owl, "to @Trix Deluca of Hogwarts." She told the owl.I'm really not sure what we have around here, to be honest I mostly stay inside the castle Unless i'm going for a broom ride, I think we do, I mean we have a team but I don't really follow Quidditch that much, I think Broom racing is cooler.

Trix found themself in the courtyard on an unseasonably warm Sunday, musing to themself about what they were going to have for dinner. Smiling idly at the other students passing by, they went through the options in their head. Fish and Chips? Sunday Roast? Cottage Pie? They were lost in thought as an owl lazily descended towards her. She hadn't seen it on the approach, so when it landed suddenly and silently on their leg, they jumped, causing the bird to flap its wings to regain balance. She took the letter from the animal as it gave her a nasty look and soared off. They quickly ripped open the envelope and read the contents. It was from her friend, River, who she had started to get a little worried about. It had been a bit since she had written her, perhaps she was just busy at school. She got up, reading the letter as she walked to her dorm room to write back.
Dearest River,
I think Quidditch is the best sport ever! I've been practicing with the team and I think we may just win the next game! I hope this letter finds you well. It's really warm here today for some reason, but I think I will take the opportunity of the good weather and practice some on my own.
Will you be coming back to the school for the tournament happening this year? I cant wait to see who wins. There is no way I'd ever join though! I don't know ANYTHING about magic yet. Not like some of the older kids here. I've still got a lot to learn. Would you perhaps try if you could? I think my parents would freak out if they knew more about it. I've heard people talking about how dangerous it is.
Anyway, I've got to get down to the pitch after running this up to the owlery, so I really must be going! I hope to hear from you soon! And let me know if you're coming with your schoolmates! See ya!

Trix sealed the letter with some yellow wax and a Hufflepuff stamp and stuffed it in their pocket before they made their way to the events of the evening, making sure to stop by the owlery before the quidditch pitch so they wouldn't crumble the letter too much. They found a beautiful Barn Owl and called it down from its roost. "Please take this to River Fayre at Beauxbaton's. As fast as you can fly!" The bird nodded knowingly, and took off, Trix calling "Thank you!" as the bird diminished in size.

River was sitting in her dorm with a bunch of letters sitting around her, some were from her mother, asking how she was and about school (really Mum, like how can one get hurt at Beauxbatons?) it was the worst Idea River had ever had to write to her mother telling her that she would be going to the Scottish highlands to see Hogwarts once more, she did not think that her mother had liked her going last time, and her sister had now been told she would be staying back, lucky for River she was still able to go.Writing as NPC River Fayre (ency link in last posts)
Just as she was thinking about shoving all the letters away and not opening them ever, she seen one that stood out to her, it was from @Trix Deluca from Hogwarts.
Opening it she read it slowly, and then decided to reply.

How are you? I'm currently sitting in a pile of letters, mostly from my mother and father, their not to happy about me going to pigwarts (hogwarts) my sister has been forbidden to go, I think I might be able to make it, I can't wait to return! The castle is just so pretty! It makes me think that it's a place for lovers, can it be? France is supposed to be the place for lovers, yet Pigwarts seems so.... Full of love, back at the Fall ball, or whatever it was called, I sat outside and watched it, It did not end well, yet I still think that it was full of love, students going in alone and coming out as pairs, and sometimes even going in as pairs and coming out alone. It just seemed so... Amazing.

It was a dreary Monday morning when Trix woke up. Yawning, they stretched life into their limbs and rubbed their eyes. When their eyes focused, they swung their legs out of bed and went to put brush their teeth before getting dressed and heading to the Great Hall. There, they grabbed a plate of bacon and eggs and a glass of chocolate milk and sat down to begin their day. Halfway through the plate, owls began to pour into the hall and deliver letters and packages to the students below. Trix looked up, admiring the beautiful diversity of owls when they saw one dip towards them. It landed on the table with a soft thud and stuck out its leg. Trix quickly unburdened the owl and watched as it hopped twice and then flew away. Quickly they opened the letter. It was from River! Trix was super excited because they knew it was getting close to the time that she'd be coming back to Hogwarts. They began to read the letter, and, when they were finished, they reached in their bag and took a page out of River's book and wrote their reply on the back of their letter.
Dear River,
I'm so excited! I can't wait for you to come back to Hogwarts. We have to hang out every day! I'm glad you like Hogwarts, I like it too. It's the most amazing place and I can't believe I get to live here! The grounds are beautiful. I've found several places I like to study and read, I'll show them to you!
Are you going to enter the tournament? I don't think I will, as I don't know much about the wizarding world yet. Maybe if it comes again I will in a later year. But I know a lot of people have entered here. I can't wait for it to start, I wonder what tasks they'll have to perform! I hope the Hogwarts champion is a Hufflepuff!
Speaking of Hufflepuff, we lost our Quidditch game against Slytherin. It was super close though, and I think that I get to at least be on the bench for the next game! I'm really excited about it because I get to ride a school broom. Hopefully next year I'll have enough money to buy a broom of my own! But who knows? I hope we win the next game; it would be awesome for the first game I'm a part of, we win.
Oh, the bell just rang, so I got to go! I hope you write me back soon! Cant wait to see you.

They would have to go to the Owlery after classes to mail it off, so they quickly waved it dry and put it in their bag for later. River's letters always brought a smile to Trix's face.

As you might have noticed I got a new colour of Ink! I also got a blue and a Green, I am saving up for a Yellow one, because Yellow is such a pretty colour!
I was thinking about it, and I don't think that we will need to exchanged letters for the time being Because by the time you'll get this letter, I'll be at Pigwarts. Of course after I leave I'd love to continue to do this, because it brings such joy to talk to someone over 3 weeks of a owl's flight away! Mom
