Snowball fights and snowball failures with @Haley Rose and iNPC Miles Thatcher. Permission to godmod was granted.

Snow gave one an advantage, but it gave both opponents the same advantage. One could HEAR the crunch of snow beneath one's feet so he knew she was getting close. Miles glanced over his shoulder just in time to see the snowball headed in his direction. DODGE! He had straightened up just in time to give her a satisfied smirk for his quick reflexes when BAM, the second snowball (that he hadn't even focused on) smacked against the bag in his hand with enough force to send it toppling down to the ground. His inventory was ruined!
"M'lady, that wasn't very valiant of you." It was, however; quite brilliant and once again they had a level playing field between them. Miles decided that he would go another approach - one that was much faster.
But not before he paused and tilted his head. "I think that lady there is going to drop all her bags. She's juggling far too many. We should probably help her," he said and slowly began to walk toward Haley, point out toward the street closest to them there in Diagon Alley. It was Christmastime and all, shouldn't one be generous with their help?
"HANG ON, LET ME HELP YOU!" Miles shouted over and when Haley would glance over her shoulder to look, he would tackle her down to the ground. No more snow ball fight, just a tickling match there near the fountain. "Ha...fell for the helpless old lady trick," he laughed, pinning her down by bringing himself on top of her as he playfully tortured her in the most innocent way possible with tickling. He didn't keep at it long though, because he knew some people didn't like it, and he came to rest his body on the soft snow directly beside her and his eyes caught those green eyes of hers again. "I took the weak way out, you'll have to forgive me."

@Simon KincaidHaley's plan was not stupid and she might have been able to go unnoticed in any other environment, but the crunching snow under her feet made her tactics difficult. With every step, even every movement, the cold snow crackled under her feet and only with luck would Miles miss the sounds. Nevertheless, Haley had to act and so she threw the snowball and watched it anxiously. Yes. Yes. Just a little bit more. Damn. Miles had turned at just the right moment and blocked her attack.
She saw his satisfied grin on his face and while she let the defeat show in her first moment, her attack was still not a single flop. Her second throw, which was not on Miles' radar, was a full hit and while she couldn't hit Miles, she hit something much more important. His supply of weapons in the form of snowballs. This was a crucial hit in this battle, this attack would greatly determine what happened next. As Miles turned his gaze to the destroyed snowballs in the bag, Haley put on the same satisfied look and grin he had a few seconds earlier.
"I told you not to underestimate me." She called out to Miles before turning to look at the lady who needed help. But what quickly became apparent was that there was no lady there. In fact, no matter which way Haley looked, there was no one there and just as she realised this was a trap, it was too late. She was about to turn quickly, hoping she would escape the coming attack, but she couldn't move that fast, her feet were already losing the ground beneath her.
Haley shielded her head and all that could be heard from her was a short yelp before she landed on the snowy ground with Miles. She couldn't help but laugh. Again, an attack that would affect the battle in a significant way. But the next problem was that Haley couldn't stop laughing as Miles was now using a whole new tactic. "Dirty game." She pressed out between her teeth as she tried to stifle the laughter, but fell under his attack. She tried to fight back, to free her arms, to push him off her body, but she could not bind any strength with laughter and succumbed pitifully to his attack.
Fortunately for her, he showed mercy on her and after a time let go of her. Haley remained lying in the snow, holding her stomach and closing her eyes. She took a few deep breaths to recover from the tickle attack. Eventually she opened her eyes again and turned her head to the side where Miles had also laid down in the snow. Quite unconsciously she grinned at him and her green eyes fixed on his blue eyes.
"I don't know if I can forgive you for that." Said the redhead, looking deep into his eyes. "I mean, that was a really sneaky attack." She continued, her hand on her other side slowly burying itself in the snow, as inconspicuously as possible. "I was really worried about the lady and then you tackle me completely without warning. I could have been seriously hurt." She continued to direct him, her gaze still fixed directly on his. Her hand had formed into a fist by now, in it as much snow as she could possibly grasp.
Haley waited for a suitable moment and when it came she rolled to her side as quickly as she could. Her hand full of snow moved jerkily to Miles' head and soaped it with snow. This time she took advantage of the moment of surprise and turned so that she now pinned him to the ground. "But maybe a Revenge will help me forgive you." She exclaimed as she reached for more snow with her already cold hands and tried to tuck some into his jumper at the nape of his neck. Her knees were on the cold ground, already soaked by now, and her shins were on his, trying to get him under control somehow, because she had clearly underestimated his strength. Before he could throw her off him, she reflexively held onto his neck and started laughing out loud. "Okay. Okay." She tried to reassure him. Whatever he would do now, Haley knew she would lose.

Surrendering to @Haley Rose

"I surrender, I surrender!" he said as the coldness began to hit his skin with such quickness. "I raise the white flag! I concede to you, oh beautiful one! I relinquish myself! I abandon my post. I submit to you. Please do me no further harm!" A little dramatic? More like a LOT dramatic.
Miles slowly began to sit up from the cold snow and began to slowly inch back away from her like he was some sort of frightened animal but the smile on his face showed that he was anything but frightened. "Spare me. Spare me, please. Think of my children. Have mercy on my pure soul."
But he did now bring himself to a standing position and when he did so, he stepped over to where she was and offered out her hand. This wasn't in some ploy to bring her down, or to ambush her with more snow. No, he had surrendered and this was now the peace offering behind it; a gentleman like gesture to help her up.
As the wind hit him, he realized how wet he had become and he sighed a little. Glancing over toward the bookstore, his parents were going to think he was a right mess. He used his other free hand to sort of mess with his hair, hoping that it was falling back into place a little bit.

@Simon KincaidHaley couldn't help but laugh when Miles gave up. Never underestimate a young rose. She sat there, covered in snow, the cold burning into her skin, but there was a satisfied smile on her lips. It was funny how dramatic Miles got, but at his words she became fluttered, had he really just called her beautiful one? If her face and ears weren't already so red from the cold, they would be now. "Okay, okay, I have mercy on you."
"Oh no, I didn't know you had children. Of course I can't let them for grow up without their father! But remember never to underestimate a redheaded woman!" She winked at him and shook her head, giggling. It truly had to be a funny image for people to see the two kids in the snow talking about inheritance, children and giving up.
Gratefully, she accepted his hand and let him pull her to her feet. "Thank you mister." She thanked him with a curtsy, "It was an honour to fight with you." Her body shook from the cold and she knew her mother was going to fall out of all want when she saw the state Haley was in in a moment. "Gosh it's crazy cold." She shivered and rubbed her hands together. But the fun had been worth it and tomorrow she wouldn't even remember the biting cold.
She watched Miles as he tried miserably to get his hair back under control and smirked. "Wait, let me help you." She strode up to him and had to stretch a little to get at his hair. She did her best to get everything back in place and eventually she was halfway satisfied with the result. The hair was not as perfect as at the beginning but the traces of the snowball fight were gone. She took another step back and surveyed her work. "That's good."
She glanced at the shop and could see her mother talking through the large shop window, but it looked like she was about to leave. "I think I have to go in a minute." She said with a nod towards the shop window. "Hope to see you some day again warrior."
