TABLE 4 | Sweethearts Tea Party
Hearing her name Adlai's head shot up in search of the individual who called out to her. When she did she found it was Flash. "Hm? Tea! Yes, I would like some, but please don't bother I can get it myself." She said. Then it felt like all eyes were on her. Almost immediately the two other girls that were chatting with the boy introduced herself. Adlai felt she was never all that good or clever with formalities.@Flash Holmwood,@Percival Gray, @Evelynn Decipio, @Eun-ji Lee Hunt, and @Willow Anderson
Almost jumping out of her seat she went for the hand of the girl who introduced herself to be Eun-Ji Lee Hunt. "Nice to meet you, I Adlai, Adlai Rod." and then to the hand of girl who introduced herself to be Decipio. "Interesting name, in the best way possible, I'm Adlai Rod."
After the semi-awkward introductions on Adlai's part, the two girls attention were brought somewhere else, two others appeared, others that Adlai was unfamiliar with. Gosh there was a lot of people but nonetheless, she hoped she could make new friends in the crowd she was placed in.
She didn't want to depend on Flash for social interaction at the event, so she waved at the newcomers and gave them as friendly of a smile that she could think of, her teeth still lined with metal after a year with braces.

"I'm fine, don't worry about me..." he mumbled back to Willow, his glare still blankly looking down to the state of the box below him. The fact that Willow out of all people was concerned about his health really showed a few things, not only did he look totally different but acted like a shadow of his former self. This wasn't the cold Percival everyone knew...
His eyes slowly glanced over to Willow who was reading some kind of letter. The more she read it the more her face got more displeased by the second, and it wasn't a surprise when she put it under the table to take her wand out and blame it on him. Gray didn't even seem fazed as she threw pointed words into his soul, one that was normally shielded with his sharp wit and sarcasm. Yet none of those seemed to be present. All he could do was sit there and silently take whatever built up emotion she had ready for him.
Even though her voice was lowered to try and hide their little talk, others seemed to catch on pretty fast. The first was Flash, who he considered to still have some hostilities. He nosily craned his neck over to look at the letter and called him out on his apparent bullying. How they didn't see it was impossible was beyond him, he had been gone for almost four months due to family death and illness. Gray simply didn't have the energy to perform such acts. The comment alone forced a tense gaze from the boy, feeling as if they were jumping on the bandwagon to punish gray anyway.
The two newer faces didn't dare to poke their heads into the drama, but instead idly watched as the scene unfolded towards them. At least not everyone was totally against him, only the two stooges were on board for now.
Last but not least was Evelynn, who was more than certain to jump in on the fun. Although, it was quite the opposite. She actually came to his defense and protest the legitimacy of the letters. For once she was absolutely right and that was something he couldn't help but feel impressed by through his clouded mind.
"Evelynn is right... I didn't do bog all to your letters. Heck, that isn't even my handwriting" he grunted as he looked at the well written letter, one that proved someone was out for him "I have been gone for four months mourning. How on merlin would I find the energy to do such a thing? especially when I was sick at the same time?" he said sternly now, looking at the two clowns with as much disappointed his tired face could muster.
Looking down to his own letter he slowly raised a brow in curiosity and gracefully tore the envelope open with one hand movement. His finger unraveled the paper and stared into it with icy intent, soon discovering that he wasn't the only one getting thrown under the bus "Well, would you look at this then..." he groaned before throwing it on the table for the others to see "I and Evelynn have never been friends, and probably never will be. Someone truly is trying to mess with us here, not me"
It was a rare moment for Gray to be accused of something he didn't do, and that was one of them. Not only had he proved his innocence but made the two clowns who framed him look like idiots for the rest of the table.
"Believe it or not but I'm innocent, never would I go this far out of spite..."

SOMETHING HAS HAPPENED!

@Flash Holmwood | @Eun-ji Lee Hunt | @Adlai Rod
As the students settled into their seats and confusion began to take over as they scanned the contents of their 'letters', some might notice several pale pink roses start to seemingly descend from the ceiling. The same hue as the petals floating through the air, these roses would gracefully glide downwards and land in front of someone at eight different tables; 2, 3, 4, 8, 10, 11, 13, and 15.
Tables 1, 5, 6, 7, 9, 12, 14, and 16 would not receive any roses (yet), but they would not go without entertainment. It was from his position at the teacher's table that Orion would stand up and clear his throat, "Welcome students, thank you for attending our tea party! I have hopes to make this an annual event." If only the French man was aware of the chaos he had rained down upon the crowd of youngsters. He had not slept the night before after scrambling to try and correct his errors. The dark circles under his eyes might have been noticeable to anyone sitting close enough to him. "I'm sure you've noticed the roses by now. If you've received a rose that means you are now a bachelor or bachelorette, which means you get to help spread a little love around." His face broke into a smile as if this were a simply sublime idea. With the romantic heart Orion possessed, he likely believed it.
"If you did not receive a rose, do not worry mes amies (my friends), you will get an opportunity soon. Until then we are going to offer you an opportunity to show your love. This means that you can ask us to dedicate a song to a special someone in the crowd, or make an announcement to your peers. The choice is, of course, yours to make." The students received a playful wink before Orion sat back down at the table. (PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOUR TABLE HAS RECEIVED A ROSE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REQUEST A SONG OR SPOTLIGHT THIS ROUND)
Eun-ji Lee Hunt would discover that she one of the individuals selected. If she were to pick up the rose, she would discover a small note attached that read the following:
The students might notice the soothing sounds of the harp starting to play from the back corner of the ballroom. There was a shutter that blocked the view of who or how many people were playing. Whilst they would not see her, they could hear the Slytherin head of house, Hjørdis Jensen, had started to strum a harp to help set the mood.YOU'VE BEEN SELECTED AS ONE OF OUR BACHELORS / BACHELORETTES. THE MUSIC IS ABOUT TO START SO GO FIND AND KISS YOUR VALENTINE! DON'T FORGET TO GIVE THEM THE ROSE!
![]()
![]()
P.S. For those too shy I will gladly pick for you
-O.L.
Until people started to request songs, she would simply play random songs that she was pretty sure that the children would enjoy on the harp. Honestly, what did children listen to these days? She had no idea. But she was evidently trying in the fact that she had bothered to learn how to play all of these, specifically for this occasion.
It just so happened that occasionally, another instrument - such as a fiddle or guitar - could be heard in the background too, randomly chipping in. The sound of notes hit the air. It was not too loud but it could easily be heard throughout the ballroom if one stopped to listen for it. It almost complemented the chatter. [Click the music note for the actual playlist]
Eun-Ji now had a choice to make or risk the chance of a certain French man making the choice for her.
You've received a rose!
Your character has the ability to select one person to give the rose to. This person will be considered their 'valentine'. The OOC purpose for this is to A.) Add even more drama or B.) give characters an opportunity to move tables.
To move tables you must message a mod which table you wish to move to before it is confirmed. Please tell the mod your in character reason for wanting to move to this table. Why? This is to prevent tables from becoming too populated, as this is not the only round we will be doing this.
Keep in mind that once you move tables, you will be unable to return to your original table unless you are given permission to do so!
If you do not pick a 'valentine' by the next mod post, Orion will pick one for you. Trust me, you'll want to pick your own!

This outing was... not going as expected. For one, she was not as sneaky as she thought she was being. It took less than two seconds for Flash to clock what was going on, Evelynn wasn't too far behind on the situation either. Despite Percival saying that she shouldn't worry about him, there was nothing about him that screamed; "I'm doing fine thanks." Absent mindedly she handed her letter up to Flash for him to look at since he was already involved, and her wand slowly slipped back into her pocket. A fierce blush spread across her cheeks as she realized the accusation she had made. The pureblood superiority complex was valid, but the rest wasn't.
Then it hit her like a gut punch, he was mourning? Willow remembered what it was like. Returning late in February because of her grandmother's death. She hadn't wanted to come back to school. There was nothing she wanted to do but stay in bed and watch clouds drift across the sky. His disappointment was written all over his face, and quite frankly Willow felt her stomach turn. For once in their bickering she had been in the wrong. Her mouth pulled taut into a straight line. Unsure of how to conquer this social faux pas. Flash was really the one that seemed to have a grasp at situations like this.
Her hand reached up to pat Percival's shoulder in sympathy, but lingered in the air for a moment before coming back to rest in her lap. "I'm... sorry. For your loss and the accusation." She stayed facing towards him, more from the fact that her legs felt as heavy as lead than any decision she was consciously making. "I've had a bit of a rough go as well," She briefly pointed at her bald head as if that would explain anything. "But that doesn't excuse what I just did."
Her gaze returned back to the cupcakes. Even if Percival hadn't written the letter, someone had. Poking at every single one of Willow's insecurities couldn't have been a coincidence. Finally her body turned to look around at the crowd, to see if anyone was watching them. But she was distracted by Professor Lécuyer making an announcement about roses. She watched as the pink rose settled into Eun-ji’s vicinity, a small jealously bubbled away. Her one chance at escape... There was nothing more awkward than this situation, and she would rather be digging her own dirt grave than continuing on at this event.

TABLE 4 | Sweethearts Tea Party
Eun-ji felt incredibly out of place. Besides Flash, she didn’t know any of these people well and so she didn’t dare to step in and mediate the conflict. Thankfully, she didn’t have to. In the end, it was Evelynn who figured out everything might not be as it seemed. It was hard to tell who was right and who was wrong here but the red head appeared to know Percival well enough to make such judgement. Well isn’t this just perfect. The Ravenclaw was glad to hear nobody at the table was at fault but it also made her wonder what the hell was going on here. It was highly likely her own notes could be a joke as well but she still didn’t dare to check. Would Flash discard hers as a joke too then? She honestly wasn’t sure which option she preferred. No, he probably wouldn’t. They took notes together so he would recognize her neat handwriting quite easily. Eun-ji herself was quite confident she would recognize his.
This is not a very happy table is it? The witch realized rather quickly. Then again, birds of a feather flock together, right? She was almost jealous that the two could talk about their problems like this. Granted, they didn’t say anything too specific but Eun-ji didn’t think she would be able to mention even the mourning part. Her brain was still processing that one. It was much appreciated that Willow immediately decided to apologize. Not all people were as quick when it came to accepting their mistakes. And to be fair, it was not really her fault. Was there any way to deescalate the conflict even further? Should Eun-ji offer her cupcakes perhaps? The dopamine did wonders to people. She would often sneak cakes to the trauma patients at her father’s hospital. Sure this was not such extreme case but she honestly wasn’t sure what else to do. The raven haired girl was not necessarily good at comforting people with words. However, offering the pastry would also give away the fact that she made those cupcakes in the first place and she wasn't sure whether she wanted to do that.
Thankfully, everything would be soon put on hold by flying pink roses, one of which landed on their table as well. At first, Eun-ji would be grateful for the distraction. It was something new to focus on so they could all take a deep breath and calm down. Alas...it appeared this particular flower would not grant her the relief she so desperately longed for. The Ravenclaw picked up the rose in her usual calm manner but once she read the note, all of that composure went out the window. I'm supposed to do what now? She froze in her movement, rereading the instructions again as if it would change them. For the past two years Eun-ji haven't thought of romance at all. Had her life continued to be as peaceful as it used to be, perhaps she would, however that was not the case. So how exactly was she supposed to just go and kiss someone? The thank you note, in Flash's hands was already nerve wrecking enough thank you very much. She supposed it was her own fault really. Hogwarts events tended to go off the rails fairly quickly and there was no reason to believe this one might be different.
At first, the Ravenclaw considered simply staying put and keeping the rose but the last words of the note kept repeating in her head. “P.S. For those too shy I will gladly pick for you.” That sounded weirdly ominous... And thus, finally after what seemed like eternity; the raven-haired girl raised her head from the piece of paper and looked around the room. First, her eyes stopped on the door...like a wounded animal, looking for an escape. No. That would be even more embarrassing. She made a decision to come here and she should face the consequences. It was a tricky situation to be in. Overall, there were only three people she knew relatively well. Two fellow Ravenclaws, her duelling captain Dee and her junior Samantha Salwis, who seemed to enjoy stalking following her around quite persistently. Dee would be no doubt very popular and they weren't necessarily close friends either. Sam was out of question too for...obvious reasons. This left her with only one other option. The option that was conveniently already sitting next to her. It was simultaneously the best and the worst option too...
Sure, Flash quickly became dear to her heart, she could not deny that but she already wrote him a letter. It may have not been a love letter per se but it was still filled with many personal feelings she wouldn’t dare to say aloud. If she gave him the rose as well, wouldn't that be too much? Eun-ji was feeling plenty awkward about this and didn't want him to feel the same. The Slytherin was also insanely popular so she doubted she would be the only one to offer him the cursed flower. In all honesty, the witch didn't even want to imagine what it would feel like to be rejected by him but what other option did she have? Picking up a random stranger? Taking a deep breath Eun-ji finally turned to face the boy in question. "I'm really sorry...I don't know anyone else that well here." She tried not to sound as flustered as she felt. "And I do enjoy your company so...if no one better comes along, would you do me the honor and take this off my hands?" She nodded towards the rose. One thing she would not do however was the kiss. Surely, the organizers would be willing to overlook that part. Eun-ji didn't have the courage to do it. She was too awkward to go for a hug. Why would anyone think she had the guts to go for a kiss was honestly beyond her.

TABLE 4 | Sweethearts Tea Party

First, he poured the tea to those who desired it, leaving the pot alone for Adlai to pour her own as requested. With that, it seemed the table was full and everyone was present and taken care of... wait, why had he taken the role of the host? It would seem habits were automatic, though he didn't regret taking care of his friends. Their happiness made him happy, the process that fueled his very purpose in life. It wouldn't go unnoticed by him how pleasant it was to have a gathering of so many people he held dear, barring Gray of course.
Once Willow had stated her outrage and handed Flash the letter, he read it over as Evelynn began to helpfully point out a pattern, and Grey insisted it was fraudulent. Flash would put Willow's letter on the table and pick up the ones by his name card, which he had been neglecting in favor of pleasantries. "It's true, he's been absent from school the last four months." Flash would add as he skimmed the letters, supporting Gray's assertion.
He saw one was from Eun-ji, which he hoped was not also a forgery, and another from Gray which he read more carefully to analyze its voracity, which was easy with how short it was. Flash would laugh once he finished, adding, "I have one as well. There is no chance that Gray wrote this." He'd look at the last one as well, though it was an enigma of its own. The words didn't seem like they were written in English, and trying to decipher it made Flash feel almost sick to his stomach, wondering if perhaps he had experienced a short seizure and had lost the ability to parse language. He put it down.
After all, Willow was now apologizing, and Flash would comfort her with a pat on the shoulder. "Well, whoever wrote that was trying to get under your skin. Someone who hates Gray, no doubt."
Before he could move on to ask Gray if he had any theories about the culprit, petals would fall from the ceiling and the professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts would make an announcement to the new accompaniment of a harp. While harp music was not a bad ambient sound for evening tea, he was not particularly fond of the idea of students taking a spot light to confess their love. He couldn't imagine what could possess someone to agree to that, besides revenge or grandstanding. What a mess.
The distraction had prevented him from seeing the rose given to Eun-ji until she spoke to him in a flustered tone. Seeing her looking so nervous and uncertain was not enjoyable for Flash, who liked when she was at her most confident and alert. He'd quickly see the reason for her awkwardness when she handed him the rose. He'd redden in the face a bit himself, unable to control the display of the feeling he got when singled out, and made to feel special. More than lingering on that though, he'd want to save her from this distress. Promptly plucking the flower from her hand, he'd hold it to his chest and smile.
"Thank you. I saw you wrote me a letter as well. I'll have to repay your kindness." He'd say directly to her, before turning to the rest of the group. "I say we all leave these attempts at romantic drama behind us and try to enjoy ourselves. Did you need tea, Willow? Gray?"

When Willow finally realised her mistakes a hand slowly fell on his shoulder. Percival looked to the hand with a small frown, acknowledging her sorry with a sorrowful nod. It was impossible for them to know his situation right now, and even if he had any anger built up he'd be too tired to let it out "You don't need to say sorry, none of you didn't know..." he mumbled out as he finally looked up to Willow.
"I'm... i'm sorry if that's the case for you Willow. In my eyes, you still look as beautiful as before" he murmured with a light tap of her hand, a shy smile escaping his normally expressionless face. Willow and Gray had their differences, but right now he felt something different about her compared to the Willow he used to know. Right now, they were on the same boat of hopelessness and Gray thought she realised that too.
In other predicaments, Flash and the other table crew were beginning to piece the puzzle together. It clearly wasn't Gray who wrote it, he wasn't in any condition to do so. Someone out there was out for him, whoever it was they were making the most of his vulnerable state. Student or teacher, he was going to find out the culprit. Reaching for his letter, he slowly stuffed it in the pocket of his suit and kept it for safekeeping. Who knew if he'd remember it...
"I'm sure whoever it is will reveal themselves sooner or later Flash, they normally do in these cases" he commented to his dorm mate who now had a far different stance on the situation. It was the same with him, he didn't have any problem with the way he reacted. At the end of the day, the truth was now out there and that was all that mattered right now "Please..." he said in response to the teas request, not bothering with how he did it.
Suddenly, above them, petals began to fall onto the table out of the blue. Gray gave no notice to them, even if they fell into his hair. Looking over to the new girl, a single rose was given to her in order to pick a soul mate. It must have been embarrassing to get one, especially if everyone hated or didn't know you. Although, if Gray was given the rose he knew exactly who to give it to.
Snapping his gaze to Willow he stared at her silently for a few moments, almost as if he was silently pondering what to say. Finally, his mouth opened to speak his mind "Willow... I'm sorry for whatever I've said to you in the past" he said softly, his eyes not leaving her face "You're a respectable girl who has her head on her shoulders. Me on the other hand, I'm just a mess..."

It seemed like Evelynn's theory was growing to be more true as Flash confirmed his absence and the fact that Flash had a letter as well. It didn't dull the ache of false accusation that she had in the pit of her stomach, but there was nothing to be done about it now. Especially since there was really no way for her to realize he had been gone from school besides the never ending peace she had received from the lack of someone criticizing her bloodline.
The young badger had never seen Percival like this, he was... almost pitiful to look at. There was a sadness that seemed to have his heart rooted to his sleeve, unable to avoid expressing them. If the situation hadn't called for careful treading already, she might've physically recoiled as he called her beautiful. He was... being... nice? Empathetic even. "Thank you Percival, really." She quite liked this new look at Percival. No matter the bloodline they came from, they had both experienced a grief that had absolutely consumed them. Luckily Willow was two years past her grief, but it still struck her every now and again.
She finally turned her body to face the rest of the table, leaving the interrogation stance she had taken on. Willow's eyes didn't mean to, but they followed Eun-Ji as she handed the flower to her brother. Her eyes flicked between the two, had she missed something? Zoned out whilst Flash told her about this relationship? No, no. That couldn't be. Last she heard Eun-ji was just a good friend of Flash's, a Divination companion. This would have to be something she brought up at lunch later. She simply nodded for the tea offer, gaze lingering on Eun-ji for a moment too long before Percival stole her attention once more.
If her eyes could soften anymore for the sad snake in front of her they would be a pile of liquid on the floor. Willow didn't know what it would take for her and Percival to become friends, but she sure didn't expect it to happen like this. At a Valentine's Day event where they were both grieving for whatever reasons. She searched for any sense of ridicule or joke that was waiting to appear, but instead all she could find was a genuine apology. Perhaps people really could change for the better. Flash had, why couldn't Percival? "I only recently got my head back on my shoulders, it keeps falling off." She smiled, hoping a bit of humor would brighten up dark eyes. "We've both said quite rude things to each other, but there's nothing saying that we can't move on from it, hm? And if it means anything, I don't think you're a mess. "
Without asking Willow scoped out Flash's cupcakes and opened a random box of his, grabbing a red velvet one and another with chocolate icing. She wasn't going to try to toast to a new friendship with smooshed cupcakes or ones that were crying. Besides, there was no way he was going to be able to eat all of them, so she was helping him out really. She just hoped she wasn't taking any of Eun-ji's if she made them. She placed the one with chocolate icing in front of Percival since Willow had a particular love for red velvet. "To new starts?" She raised up her cupcake to suggest a toast. Even if he didn't participate in the toast she would take a bite out of hers after a few moments of waiting for him to reciprocate.

Evelynn is right... A sentiment that the lioness might never have expected to be uttered from the arrogant slime seated next to her. And yet, what ought to have been accompanied by a sense of self-entitled and smug satisfaction only left her feeling...hollow. It just wasn't the same. Perhaps there was something in the air besides the dancing crimson petals. More than likely, it was the aura that clung about him like day-old perfume and disgrace. Where was the arrogance and self-assurance he so often shrouded himself with? Where was the haughty indifference? This was not the Gray she knew and it left her more than a little uneasy. To her, he had always seemed like an impenetrable fortress of indifference and judgment. Yet here he was, dejected and defeated, a shell of his former self. Pitiful in the way he sought to defend himself and regain the assurance of his classmates instead of casting off their misunderstandings and assumptions as she knew he would have even a year ago. It did not sit well with her. Not at all.
And yet, she said nothing. Instead, she kept quietly observant, content to occupy pursed lips with dainty sips of tea instead, desaturated eyes watching coolly from over hte rim as the interactions unfolded around her. To her left, Anderson and Gray continuing their conversation, her gut churning as though threatening to be ill with the way the pureblood's words turned saccharine. And to her right—more than a little eager to escape the nauseating shift of that other scene—it seemed something had transpired. A flower had made its way to Hunt's hand and in her fingers, she clutched a note. By her facial expression as she scanned it, it was something embarrassing or emotional. Perhaps both. For a moment, she lifted her gaze to glance about the table and perhaps the room; and to mirror her, Evelynn did the same, only then noting that the girl hadn't been the only ones to receive a flower. A select few at every other table also seemed to be in possession of a rose. And some of them had risen, the floral acquisition seeming to guide them like a compass to a new location. Marshal was not among the recipients, she noticed.
Speech drew her back to the moment, however, and the prefect glanced back to see a timid utterance now taking place between the Ravenclaw girl and Flash. Lovely. Turtledoves were cosying up all about her. This wasn't at all like last year's event where her group had enjoyed a fun game of hide and seek, none of them deigning to split off from the rest... The ripples of her tea were suddenly rather fascinating as the contained sigh blew her disdain across its fractured surface. Surrounded by pink and red and all of her peers, and the only other individual at her table being little better than invisible...she suddenly felt rather isolated.
"So Miss Rod..." she smiled. There was little use feeling sorry for herself, and the last thing she was ready to do was have her time wasted with attending. May as well search for her own sense of belonging. Hands lowered to the table, a pinkie serving to cushion the teacup as she set it daintily to the surface. "How are you fairing? Did you come to this event of your own accord? You seem a little shell-shocked, if you do not mind my suggesting so. Have you been to many of these school functions in the past?"

It seemed that Orion was not finished with his parade of roses just yet, because as the next song started a batch of fresh roses started to descend from the ceiling. This time the roses were white, blending in with the decor but still different enough for the first batch. The roses would glide downwards land only at the tables that had not received any of the first batches; 1, 5, 6, 7, 9, 12, 14, and 16. Having already received their roses, tables 2, 3, 4, 8, 10, 11, 13, and 15 were now perhaps a bit less confused and could submit their requests to the harpist. (PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOUR TABLE HAS RECEIVED A ROSE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REQUEST A SONG OR SPOTLIGHT THIS ROUND).
Confession Time!
Characters at your table have the ability to step beneath the spotlight and make a confession or dedicate a song to someone this round. To make a spotlight speech, simply have your character announce they wish to confess. You can lightly godmod Orion casting Lumos Duo on your character. Have them say what they wish to announce in your RP post, and make sure to tag the mod in charge of your table. Staff will post the confession into each thread (so keep in mind the entire ballroom will gain IC knowledge of what you are saying).
To request a song, simply owl the moderator of your thread with the song title, who it is going to, and what the message is. You will need to roleplay your character doing as much (you can simply say they took time to write a request down). Please keep IC rules in mind as if your character insults someone there could be IC repercussions.
CONFESSION AND SONG REQUESTS
Several students decided to take the opportunity to confess their feelings. Just not in the... Erm, traditional way. The spotlight would bob its way over to Erin Ryan, who was just announcing how Nicholas McCowan made her feel... Or something? The song requests also started to come in..."Can't remember saying this but it is probably true," not that she actually believed it but where is the potential fun in that? "As I like my boys a bit plump and you ████ need a bit of meat on your bones I AM JUST WORRIED ABOUT YOU, please accept this gift. Also, know I will suck the █████████████ MEANNESS out of anyone that tries to steal you from me." The areas where there were blocked words, well she used her imagination...Anonymous would like to dedicate Space Age Love Song to all the Bachelors and Bachelorettes, go forth and love, you silly kids!Annie would like to dedicate a song to Serena Towers, Wannabe by the Spice Girls. She adds in, "long time no chat, hope things are going well my friend."
HOW YOU LIKE THESE CUPCAKES?
Although the children had decorated the cupcakes (for the most part) the night prior, Orion had made the cupcakes himself on the night of the 12th. He had put a lot of work into the dozens upon dozens of sweets. Thankfully he was a competent baker after years of crafting late-night pastries. Unfortunately, he was also sleep-deprived, which seemed to be a common problem throughout the night. If anything were to help Orion realize he needed help with his restlessness, it was the Tea Party.
That being said, there was something... Special about a few batches of cupcakes. As the night of the 12th wore on, Orion had become tired and had accidentally used a different ingredient. Amortentia. He had realized his mistake and had gone to toss the batches out, but unfortunately, his sweet tooth got the best of him and he took a quick snack break to munch on some of the sweets the house-elves themselves had made. A common ingredient in their food being a forgetfulness potion. Oh dear, it seemed the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor had forgotten all about the cupcakes' secret ingredient.
As @Willow Anderson bit into their cupcake, they might notice it smelled quite possibly like their favourite thing. They just may find the next person who met their gaze to be rather appealing...
Amortentia Rules
1. Consent is important. Please ask your character's victim new sweetheart if it is okay to have your character become obsessed with them.
2. Seeing your own reflection in a teacup is a valid option.
3. For this round only, the length of the effects of the Amortentia is up to you. Taking a bite after this round means accepting the chance that your character might have received an Amortentia cupcake, and your character will be affected for the entire round.
4. If I have missed your character biting into a cupcake, please let me know. From this point on we are asking that if you eat a cupcake, you place the information on the bottom of your post to make it easier for mods.
AN EXTRA NOTE???
As the roses floated down from the ceiling above, a pink envelope would glide through the air above table four. It would land directly in front of Willow Anderson. If they were to open the letter, they would find something perhaps unexpected...Dear Willow,
You are perhaps the bravest person I have ever had the opportunity to meet. The way that you have embraced yourself for who you are is admirable, and I want you to know that it has not gone unnoticed. You are an inspiration to those around you, and a role model. I hope I can be a prefect like you one day.
Thank you for being you,
Signed,
A firstie in awe.
