Solo Happy Birthday! Finished

IC Date: Starting Winter break until January 18th, 2022
(Aaron can't access the Ravenclaw tower and Eun-ji can't access Hufflepuff hence the corridor placement )

Eun-ji knew Aaron's birthday was coming in January. This was due to the fact that she had few friends and a very good memory. Still, for some time she wasn't actually sure what to give him. Choosing presents was never easy for her even when it came to her own family. As with everything, the girl wanted it to be perfect yet not too grandiose in order to not make the receiver feel uncomfortable. Well...I might as well use my talent then. It won't result in unnecessarily expensive gift and I will have fun doing it. The only problem left, was having the main component delivered to Hogwarts. Could she count on her parents to help her this time? The witch honestly wasn't sure. It might be better to ask uncle as well. Just to be safe...

Thus Eun-ji has written two letters asking for a set of blank playing cards, sending it to Chester and, after so many years of radio silence, to Paris as well. Unsurprisingly the package did arrive from France in the end. She was prepared for said scenario but it didn't stop the wave of disappointment that washed over her once she saw the sender. Nevertheless, the young girl remembered her manners and sent a proper thank you note back before getting to work.

Overall, the Ravenclaw was quite happy with her plan. It kept her busy over the winter break so she wouldn’t spend too much of her free time wallowing in self-pity. She also loved being creative. It would take many days and many evenings to finish the job but she didn’t regret the time spent on the gift in the slightest. She would take some history books from the library and then use them as an inspiration for her work. It was actually pretty delightful way to keep her mind occupied.

On January 18th the last card have been sprayed with a fixative spray and the witch was finally done. All of the cards have been painted. I’d say good job Lee Eun-ji. She smiled as she placed the cards carefully in a box and wrapped her present neatly. Now all was left was to pass the gift to the boy in question. She was quite proud of her creation but she was also a coward and therefore decided to just use somebody as a messenger rather than give it to Aaron directly. She would however attach a short letter before asking one of the Hufflepuff students to leave it at Aaron’s bed. Thankfully she managed to find one that was eager to help with the task pretty quickly. It would be awkward to stand by the barrel door for much longer.
The letter:
Dear Aaron,

Happy birthday! I couldn’t find you so I’m using a messenger. Hopefully, it will get to you in time and you actually like it. I have thoroughly enjoyed working on this one and I’m expecting you to invite me for a game or two one of these days. Have fun celebrating this important day. I’ll see you around!
