Ravenclaw v Hufflepuff Broom Race Jan 2022

Avery had been stuck with fear, lost in a moment of anxiety of what was happening, but than, than, she pulled herself together to go, to race, to win this dammed thing.

She willed her broom forward, ignoring whatever was happening around her, only allowing herself to focus on what was coming, a victory.

Being flung forward like an idiot was fantastic. He knew how badass he looked, and the kid owned it. Now all that was left was to gloat and finish the race. Sadly he didn't get to pound the nerds into the ground like he wanted to, but there will always be another time.

MODERATION ROUND 6

While Winter seemingly had decided to give up, the Ravenclaws certainly had not. Clair had fallen behind, far behind, there was no hope of catching up at this point, but what did it matter? There were other ways that she could cause damage. Somehow, the first year managed to grab a branch from somewhere and threw it at the leading Hufflepuff with all her strength.

Clair - Unit 6

Victoria - Unit 15 [-50 Damage for 1 Round] [-45 Damage until End of Race]

Serena and Jack had both fallen behind, helping each other to stay on their brooms, but now they would focus on catching up.
The two students flew towards the waterfall that hid the entrance to a cave together with a Ravenclaw, Ari. They would crash into the watermasses and two of them would be thrown of their broomsticks.

Unit 17 - Waterfall
Serena's Strength: 7+4=11 - Failure
Jack's Strength: 3+10=13 - Failure
Ari's Strength: 20+7=27 - Success

The two Hufflepuffs would join Emily and Lin, who had also underestimated the waterfall a few moments ago. The Ravenclaws didn't bother to get back to their broom, they would grab the next best objects, a rock and a branch, and throw them at Simon as well.

Ari made it through the waterfall without any trouble at all and managed to get through the narrow passageway that was the entrance to a cave just as easily.

Avery had made it far, even with one round of taking a break, far enough to be relaxed. Getting out of the cave was no problem for her, nor were the winds that hit her behind it.

Unit 20 - Narrow Passageway
Avery Accuracy: 18+9-4=23 - Success

Unit 22 - High Winds
Avery Strength: 11+9=20 - Success

She would meet Simon once the winds were less strong and together the two Hufflepuff approached a treeline, the last, very last obstacle of the race.

Avery - Unit 24 [-50 Damage for 1 Round]

As Avery fell behind, Simon was on his own. He was so close, so very close to making the first broom race a triumph for his house... And then he made it.

SIMON CROSSES THE FINISH LINE - HUFFLEPUFF WINS!

Simon would reach the end of the race with scratches, bruises and covered in bundimun acid, but he made it. As the young Hufflepuff crossed the finish line, many spectators broke into cheers and screams, particularly those in the mass that wore black and yellow. "SIMON KINCAID CROSSES THE FINISH LINE, DECIDING THIS RACE FOR HUFFLEPUFF!", the hooded moderator announced cheerfully, raising his arms to incite the students to applaud even louder. "The race is over, I thank you all for coming and- Stop, STOP, THE RACE IS OVER!" The moderator raised his voice as several branches and stones flew through the air, clearly aimed at Simon.

The Hufflepuff, who had likely let his guard down, considering that he had made it through the race victorious, was hit against his shoulder, his back and one projectile even hit his head. Simon, who was injured already, would slip off his broom like a marionette and fall to the ground unconscious. "Er, we- WE NEED A HEALER HERE!", the moderator called out, who had temporarily been overwhelmed with the situation.
