Locked TABLE 8 | Sweethearts Tea Party Event

Simon shrugged. 'These aren't mine, it'll feel like theft." He took a cupcake and ate it anyways. It was too delicious to deny, even if that resulted in a trip to Azkaban for stealing. "Nevermind. I guess i am a thief."
Simon was a bit surprised at David's response, but he didn't say anything. Instead, he watched as he went to table 3 to give the rose. There were a lot of girls there, he noticed. He felt a bit bad for Kincaid, he looked so uncomfortable. David's mouth was running a mile a minute and Simon was sure that he was screwing up one way or another- because of course he was.
Now Ari was approaching them- he was the lead singer of their band, so of course he knew Ari. He shot him a smile, though he had a feeling he knew who the rose was for. Simon saw out of the corner of his eye that a boy was on fire. Love was certainly in the air today, wasn't it?
Simon resisted the urge to roll his eyes at his cheesy statement. Sheesh, they were only eleven. It wasn't like Clair was on her deathbed or something. But he listened along with her as he spoke.
As Ari spoke, he looked like he was gonna cry, and Simon was glad he didn't say anything. He looked over at Clair, waiting for a response. It had to be yes, didn't it? That was the only acceptable answer to such a disgusting cute love confession. Even Simon wouldn't have been able to say no. He took a bite of his cupcake and flashed an encouraging smile to Ari, trying to get his support across without ruining the moment.

Clair's attempt to start so e small talk failed no matter what, even if Lin and Selina replied back to her, Clair's attention was stolen, first by Jack Burnett kissing Draven, her first thought was ick.
And then Draven hit Jack with fire, and Then (could there really be more and thens?) The defense against dark arts professor put Jack Burnett out, so the boy was not burning, and then he seemed to give them a little chat, but whatever was said was again, not heard by Clair, because well Ari came over, and he looked ready to die, or at least faint, And then (I swear this is the last and then) he started to speak to her, and his words were.... Well chosen, but Clair could not help it, she started to laugh, she laughed for a few moments, her laugh was not mean, it was just a laugh because she thought Ari was joking, after she regained herself she looked at him "Ari. Your. Joking. Right?" She paused, realizing that he was in fact not joking, "Did you, make that up on the spot or plan that out?" she asked, not fully realizing that she was not in fact answering Ari's question, of course what could you say? To such a speech like that there was no saying no, even if you 100% hated that person, of course Clair did not hate Ari, not in the least, she smirked, "am I going to have to teach everyone about farm life?" She asked with a grin, thinking about how she had tried to teach Simon Kincaid about farm life, but alas City boys don't change to easy.
Then she realized that she in fact had not answered Ari's question at all, she had only really thrown more questions at him, "and of course." She said, hoping he would know what she meant, by of course.
Then a thought hit her, she was only 12, so what would life be like as a higher up year? Would she be chased by a million boys? She shrugged off the thought, she would rather be chased by a hundred cows! After all, Cows had a hint of fear to them, while boys did not seem to have any.

SOMETHING HAS HAPPENED!

It seemed that Orion was not finished with his parade of roses just yet, because as the next song started a batch of fresh roses started to descend from the ceiling. This time the roses were white, blending in with the decor but still different enough for the first batch. The roses would glide downwards land only at the tables that had not received any of the first batches; 1, 5, 6, 7, 9, 12, 14, and 16. Having already received their roses, tables 2, 3, 4, 8, 10, 11, 13, and 15 were now perhaps a bit less confused and could submit their requests to the harpist. (PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOUR TABLE HAS RECEIVED A ROSE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REQUEST A SONG OR SPOTLIGHT THIS ROUND).

Confession Time!

Characters at your table have the ability to step beneath the spotlight and make a confession or dedicate a song to someone this round. To make a spotlight speech, simply have your character announce they wish to confess. You can lightly godmod Orion casting Lumos Duo on your character. Have them say what they wish to announce in your RP post, and make sure to tag the mod in charge of your table. Staff will post the confession into each thread (so keep in mind the entire ballroom will gain IC knowledge of what you are saying).

To request a song, simply owl the moderator of your thread with the song title, who it is going to, and what the message is. You will need to roleplay your character doing as much (you can simply say they took time to write a request down). Please keep IC rules in mind as if your character insults someone there could be IC repercussions.

CONFESSION AND SONG REQUESTS

Several students decided to take the opportunity to confess their feelings. Just not in the... Erm, traditional way. The spotlight would bob its way over to Erin Ryan, who was just announcing how Nicholas McCowan made her feel... Or something?

"Can't remember saying this but it is probably true," not that she actually believed it but where is the potential fun in that? "As I like my boys a bit plump and you ████ need a bit of meat on your bones I AM JUST WORRIED ABOUT YOU, please accept this gift. Also, know I will suck the █████████████ MEANNESS out of anyone that tries to steal you from me." The areas where there were blocked words, well she used her imagination...

The song requests also started to come in...

Anonymous would like to dedicate Space Age Love Song to all the Bachelors and Bachelorettes, go forth and love, you silly kids!

Annie would like to dedicate a song to Serena Towers, Wannabe by the Spice Girls. She adds in, "long time no chat, hope things are going well my friend."

HOW YOU LIKE THESE CUPCAKES?

Although the children had decorated the cupcakes (for the most part) the night prior, Orion had made the cupcakes himself on the night of the 12th. He had put a lot of work into the dozens upon dozens of sweets. Thankfully he was a competent baker after years of crafting late-night pastries. Unfortunately, he was also sleep-deprived, which seemed to be a common problem throughout the night. If anything were to help Orion realize he needed help with his restlessness, it was the Tea Party.

That being said, there was something... Special about a few batches of cupcakes. As the night of the 12th wore on, Orion had become tired and had accidentally used a different ingredient. Amortentia. He had realized his mistake and had gone to toss the batches out, but unfortunately, his sweet tooth got the best of him and he took a quick snack break to munch on some of the sweets the house-elves themselves had made. A common ingredient in their food being a forgetfulness potion. Oh dear, it seemed the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor had forgotten all about the cupcakes' secret ingredient.

As @Simon Corbin and @Lin Evanvleck bit into their cupcake, they might notice it smelled quite possibly like their favourite thing. They just may find the next person who met their gaze to be rather appealing...

Amortentia Rules
1. Consent is important. Please ask your character's victim new sweetheart if it is okay to have your character become obsessed with them.
2. Seeing your own reflection in a teacup is a valid option.
3. For this round only, the length of the effects of the Amortentia is up to you. Taking a bite after this round means accepting the chance that your character might have received an Amortentia cupcake, and your character will be affected for the entire round.
4. If I have missed your character biting into a cupcake, please let me know. From this point on we are asking that if you eat a cupcake, you place the information on the bottom of your post to make it easier for mods.

Clair watched the commotion happen at the other tables, the table Ari had just left had now had a professor reprimanding a few students, because one had kissed the other? Ew. And then the one who has been kissed flamed the other? And the. At Simon's table there looked to be chaos, of some level as Angelfyre did kClair wondered if all Hogwarts events turned out this bad, she had heard some stories from older years in her common room, about events going badly, yet surely it must be safe, because they kept doing it, right?
The Ravenclaw girl decided that she could share her cupcakes with Ari, opening the box she pulled one out, "Want a Cupcake? I think I'll have one, but I'll never be able to eat all of these so you can have one" she plucked one out and put it in front of Ari, she took a bight of the cupcake she had in Front of her, she closed her eyes and smiled, as the taste of the cupcake melted in her mouth, she held her eyes shut and enjoy the flavour, as it slowly melted off her tongue, she swallowed, and enjoyed the moment, and moment of calm in the crazy room full of hormones running and feeling breaking out, when she opened her eyes, and the first person she seen was Simon Corbin, she looked at his face, how his face was smooth and round, his dark hair shinny.
"Simon You look really nice today" she said slowly, it was rather obvious that she was affected by something, never in the right mind would the proper Clair Fernandez ever said that.

LOVELY CUPCAKES

Clair couldn't resist biting into a cupcake. They were such nice smelling cupcakes after all, perhaps reminding her of her favourite thing. Goodness, was it getting warm it here? It seemed the next person she saw would be the object of her obsession...

PLEASE NOTE: This will be the last mod post as our next in-character event, the Blossom Ball, will be starting within the next few weeks. You may continue to roleplay and feel free to state that your character ate a cupcake and ended up under the effects of Amortentia but we ask that the effects stay strictly within this event. This means you cannot claim your character stole Amortentia laced cupcakes from this event.

However, Orion will be keep an eye on the threads, and there is still a table full of teachers, so please try not to do anything he wouldn't do!
