Author's note- It's a private letter between Mabelina and her mom and dad. She belongs to a joint family, but never said them that she was a witch. Her mom and dad made an excuse that Mabelina went to a hostel. Mabelina however, misses her parents and writes them a letter. She expects an answer from them and hopes that the truth is still hidden.
Dear Mom & Dad,
I'm sending you my first ever letter from Hogwarts. It's an official owl, so kindly don't take much time sending me back a reply. I'm soon thinking to get one White Snowy Owl. I like them more than any other types of owls.
Anyways, I hope you all are having a great time there. I know it's hard to believe that I'm a witch. I too didn't have the slightest idea of being a witch. I'm really glad that you excepted the truth and allowed me to go to Hogwarts.
Life here is amazing, just that it will take sometime to make friends. I already have two friends, so just try not to worry about my loneliness.
I hope you are keeping the secret, well, way far from my aunt and uncle. Yes, it includes the whole family. They will get super excited, you know, and reveal the secret. Not only will I be expelled from here but the whole Magical World will also come in view.
I don't have much time to write letters. Because, you know, I have many home-works to do. I might seem as if to forget you all at times but believe me, I always remember you both, because you are my only one so close. I don't have much things to share but I think the next letter from you will contain some positive vibes. I really need that in this unknown world. Hope you both have a good day ahead!

I am glad to know that you're feeling good there. Your dad and I miss you every second. I remember the moments we spent together. The truth is well hidden from them. But your aunt likes to spy to get a bit of more information. We tried to convince everyone that you have gone to a mysterious hostel which is the best place for you. I promise you dear, they can't force us so badly to get out the name. We're living happily here, till now. I will wait for the arrival of frequent letters from you. Sorry about my late reply. The owl was really clever, to be honest. It came so secretly from my room's window and left the letter down. I fed it well too. It's so good to know that you're going to buy a Snowy Owl. I like their soft fur, so be sure to bring them only. I want to feed her in my own house. So, if you change your mind, there is no issue. Just be sure to follow your heart. If possible, in summer holidays bring your friends to our house.

Dear Mom,
Before I start writing about my feelings, I just need to ask you something. You really fed this owl? You know, it's an official owl, so don't go messing with it. Atleast, you could have searched somewhere about an owl's food habits? The food that you gave it, is moderately okay. Next time, give it very small pieces of beans and if possible, snails and insects. If you can't, give a reply as soon as possible and send it back. I'll give it food in behalf of you.
Anyways, sorry to start my letter with all those, but I needed to write it first, I was almost going to explode if I didn't.
I'm glad and happy for your support and it really gives me positive vibes. I'll write to my dad later, I need to surprise him on his birthday. I have decided a wonderful gift, which I guess, he will like. I don't have much to say now. My life is going good and got many friends. Trix DeLuca is far more nice than I did rather thought of. Trix's pronoun is they/them, makes me confuse immensely. I sometimes say him/his, but Trix never seems to mind.
I'm doing my homeworks all day, everyone is friendly, not to mention, annoyingly, of course. But I still like it. I hope you all are living happily. I too miss you mom and inform dad my dearest regards. I'll wish him a Happy Birthday soon, days to go. So, keep this a secret. Enjoy your life, I don't want to hear from others that you wept bitter tears each night in my memory, that makes me feel sad and you know, will give me negative vibes, even if you don't want to.
