both ooc and ic its the 21st century 2022. set in first world countries, i would never write a 16-year-old into a forced arranged marriage and i doubt it would be allowed both ooc and ic. i would be a really bad writer if i did. but if it was a victorian/medieval setting, then perhaps, yes if it was appropriate for plot. (edit: shes 17 in 2022 summer)

hio goes by a 1:1 real time. i dont want to wait that long to rp her experience if she were getting married at 20+. so that's part of my reason.

As someone who - in real life - has spent over a decade having to fight to not have an arranged marriage, it's definitely not something I plan on writing for Serena. I'll probably give her an NPC boyfriend at like 25 if she's still single then.

So I need some info on American private schools

I'm attempting to write an Ilvermorny fic, and I wanna make the setting more unique than just "American Hogwarts".

Like...how do private schools here in America differ from British boarding schools? All I know is that: a) here Ilvermorny students would probably attend from ages 14-21 (rather than 11-17) and instead of "years" they'd be divided by grades (an idea I admittedly lifted from the Alexandra Quick series of fics).
