Locked A break from the goal PV Simon Kincaid

Permission granted to godmod @Simon Kincaid and @ Samantha Salwis
Avoidance of any emotional connection with people was her main goal since the accident. And here comes her best friend. No! absolutely not anymore! Just a fellow student she is, hereafter. That fellow student Samantha Salwis was an ardent destroyer of the said goal. It's tough! To distance herself from the brunette, To make a pretence of being unaware of her presence.

However, that's better. No love. No affection. No heartbreak. Pulling her scarf up, she jostled her way through the crowd when the Ravenclaw kept following and calling out her name. turning around, her eyes scanned the corridor to check if Sam was there. Sighing in relief, the girl continued walking.

Suddenly her ears pricked up and her stern expression softened by faint melody, springing up from the Rehearsal room. As fast as her leg can carry her, the girl trod towards the room. Her countenance returned to the hard-faced look. To her surprise and disappointment, Simon was the one playing the piano on her opposite end.

Why?! Why is it Simon out of all the students in the school? She doesn't want to talk to her friends the people she mistakenly was on good terms with, in any way. Thoughts aside, the Hufflepuff pulled a chair striding towards the boy and sat a few steps away staring at his fingers sail across the keys... disobeying her own mind.

Surprised to see @Vivian Nightshade

She had temporary refuge for a short while, as Simon was so caught up in the song that he not only didn't hear her entrance but he had yet to realize her presence so close to him. His fingers glided across the black and white keys effortlessly and he knew them so well he could play it with his eyes closed. Those keys were an extension of himself and the melody in which they sang out an extension of his soul.

It was more important than ever to get his emotions out through the best way he could - music. He had lost a dear friend to him over Winter Break. He had recently become someone that a small little gray creature depended on. He had written a letter to his father and now awaited a response that might never come. He had decided that feelings for one girl conflicted with him being able to stay with another. There was a lot of heavy changes that came about in a short window of time.

The song wasn't coming to an end. Instead it was building up, rising in emotion, when he slowly tilted his head to the side to check where the sun was placed outside through the window to try and estimate how much time he'd have left until curfew when he saw her. "Vivian!" he said quickly, standing up from the bench. It seemed like forever ago that he had seen her and even longer since they had talked. She wasn't at the Hufflepuff Slumber Party and he couldn't remember the last time he saw her at the Hufflepuff Table at meal times. "Hey. Sup?" he thought he'd keep it casual. He was pretty sure that there was something going on and jumping right into it didn't seem to be the best of approaches, especially with her being so absent these days.

Be kind to one another. (*iNPC is Miles Thatcher)
