Ice Cream in Winter
Calmed discussions with @Extressia Garren Leo
Extressia was sharing her random pieces of knowledge again, which had to be a good sign.
'I had no idea, that's fascinating actually. I wonder if there would be a way to replicate that artificially to test for illness.' Rayne had no idea that illnesses even had smells. It made sense though, since scent is detected by particles in the air, so if small particles from the illness go up the dog's nose then they would be able to pick it up.
'You'll have to tell me where you get all of this information from, and how you remember it all.' Rayne commented, half serious.
'Agh I hate brainfreeze. Put your tongue to the roof of your mouth, it helps for some reason. Something to do with blood. I might be making this up, but I think I remember it from soke kids science show I used to watch.' Possibly it was more the belief that it worked that actual science, the brain is an odd thing.
Rayne stopped for a moment, thinking deeply about what they were about to say.
'Hey, I don't know if it would be possible, so don't get your hopes up, and if you want to decline then that's fine, don't feel pressured to say yes,' their eyes fell to their ice cream. 'But would you like to stay with me for a but over Christmas, if it would work out?'
It was uncertain ground they were treading on. Rayne didn't want Extressia to feel obliged to say yes, and if she did say yes, if Rayne's parents would agree, and if Extressia's parents would permit it. They didn't want to trigger any strong emotions for Extressia, or put a halt to the conversation that had just re-started. They half-wished they had said nothing at all.

Ice Cream in Winter
Decision with @Rayne Chance
Extressia was surprised at Rayne's offer, as she did what said to help with the freeze. She felt uncertain about the offer. Rayne was also seemed awkward about what she just said.
"Saying at her friend's house..." thought Extressia nervously. She felt extreme conflict about the proposal. For one thing, the gesture was nice, but on the other hand, she and Rayne weren't that close to staying at her house for the holiday, right? Though it might be nice to spend some time with Rayne, it definitely less lonely and awkward. And besides, what would mom say, though they had a rough patch she still cared about what her mother's opinion about this would be.
"I don't know if I should, maybe talk to your parent and I talk to mine. Even if they agreed, it probably should just not be the whole holiday, I feel awkward doing that, no offense." Giving an awkward smile, Extressia finished her ice cream by licking the last of the cream, now beginning to crunch down the cone.
"Nice gesture though, Rayne." she said with great truth in her voice, and feeling she needed to add one more well something she continues: "And if you have problems, I owe you one for listening to them."

Flowing conversations with @Extressia Garren Leo
Rayne could see the conflict of the idea run across Extressia's face, and a knot of worry twisted their stomach. They hadn't wanted to make the conversation awkward. Unsure what to say, they licked their ice cream, which was now a small scoop of vanilla, melting slightly. They were about to speak as Extressia opened said something.
"I don't know if I should, maybe talk to your parent and I talk to mine. Even if they agreed, it probably should just not be the whole holiday, I feel awkward doing that, no offense."
'None taken,' Replied Rayne, with what they hoped was a light-hearted smile. They nodded, listening to the rest of what Extressia had to say, whilst trying to catch a distant memory that was dancing tauntingly through their mind. Alice.
'Once, I had a sleepover, with this girl, Alice or something, and it was great and all, but her parents didn't tell us that she, and the rest of her family, were vegan.' Rayne laughed, recalling the memory.
'Now don't get me wrong, I'm fine with vegans, but her family was one of those hardcore vegan families. Full on, graphic, wildly inaccurate descriptions of farms. So apparently Alice's parents seemed to believe that our family was vegan, meaning Alice thought that my parents had made us vegan food. You should have seen her face when she found out the massive bowl of spaghetti bolognaise she had wasn't vegan. Then, get this, her parents got mad at my parents for it all.' Rayne and Alice hadn't been massively close at the time, and the sleepover was Rayne's first. It was supposed to help both of them bond.
For a moment, Rayne tried to hold in their laughter at the absurdity of the whole story. They were doing pretty well until they looked at Extressia's face and burst out laughing, unable to contain it. They felt the judgemental eyes of people around them, but honestly couldn't have cared less.
'The thing is, I didn't even know what vegan was at the time, so I was massivel confused, and decided to make her a comforting glass of milk,' Rayne managed to get out, through laughs. Eventually they calmed down, hoping they hadn't made too much of a fool of themselves, and stunted the conversation. They licked their ice cream, deciding not to look back up at Extressia, a bemused smile playing across their lips.

Exchanging sleep-over stories with @Rayne Chance
When listening to Rayne's story about Alice, Extressia had made a surprised face at the humor of it all. It was funny, and it made her remember her first sleep-over. It wasn't as funny as Rayne's story, but it was meaningful, as it alter her world forever. She had finished her cone when she begin to talk about her first sleep-over.
"Hey I speaking of sleep-over, I never had too many, or any at all. But I had my first and currently only sleep-over and you could say it magically changed my life forever. You see, I and my friend had just organized and went through the plan of a sleep-over that he will go to miles to see me for a week of fun. It was very fun, but the moment I remember the most was when we were exchanging embarrassing things. I had just revealed a very embarrassing secret, and I was so flustered I spark fireworks with my hands for him to see. I didn't know what was happening, that there were now colorful fireworks everywhere in my room. That night, was when I discovered the wizarding world." Extressia could vividly recount every moment of the accidental first instance of magic, even some moment before. She had a small smile, full of different emotions. Was it for the better or for the worse, she wondered, but despite all her wondering all she know was that she didn't know.

Ice Cream in Winter
First case of magic with @Extressia Garren Leo
Rayne listened as Extressia told them about a sleepover. Rayne listened intently, finishing their ice cream and taking a bite into the cone. They were conscious of how loud the crunch was in the rather small space, and smiled, edging on a laugh. They took another bite. They liked ice cream cones, arguably more than the actual ice cream (only arguably.) It was a good cone, sweeter than Rayne had anticipated, but they quite liked it in fact.
They chuckled slightly at Extressia's story. 'Oh no,' They said with a laugh. 'I can only imagine what the boy was thinking, he must have been terrified. Rayne laughed, trying to recal their own first incident of magic.
'Hm, I'm not sure what mine was, there's one time I remember clearly, but there may have been points before it. I was climbing this tree, it was massive, this huge old oak tree. I had climbed it at least a thousand times before, so I was pretty used to it. My parents were nearby, watching me climb. It was winter, so it got dark pretty fast, pretty early. I was kind of caught off guard by the darkness, so on my way down I must have placed a foot wrong. I stood on this branch which was rotten and ended up falling. It was a big fall too, broken- bones worthy. I got up just fine though and walked over to my parents, not even aware that I should have been seriously injured. Anyway, they look super concerned, and never really understood why I wasn't hurt. Until of course I got my Hogwarts letter.' Rayne had spoken for too long, they felt. They watched as someone stood up, pulling on a hand- knitted hat and scarf, before tipping the staff and leaving into the now soflty snowing outside. This left only Extressia, Rayne and two others still in the shop, they realised.

Ice Cream in Winter
Giving final thoughts with @Rayne Chance
Extressia smiled at the story. When she realize they had been here talking for some hours now, and maybe it was best to leave. She begins to stand up and say her parting words.
"Look like I, not the only one that scared my loved one with magic. This has been really fun Rayne, talking to you but I am feeling a little burnt, the snow seems to have calmed down significantly. So I go back to my dorm now, thank you for the ice cream hang-out, Rayne."
She smiled and waved as she begin to walk calmly to the door. But something was still nagging her. The proposal of having the holiday with her, even for a day or two. She still know she can always track down Rayne and give her an answer. But she felt she did have an answer and leaving Rayne to still wondering and waiting left a small butterfly in the somache. As she was in the middle of her walk, she instinctly turn around to say, or maybe shout one more thing:
"And I love to spend some of the holiday with your family, just need the permission from mom." The people that was still here look at her, with small annoyance and surprise. Extressia softly blushed and dashed outside of the ice-cream shop. Facing the cold snow, she give an small smile.
