SLYTHERIN WINS.
As the last moments of the duels ran out, all four duellists raised their wands. The lions were likely aware that this was their last chance to turn the tides, and threw all they had at Henry: But while Sylvie's knockback jinx hit his side just barely, Elsa's fire spell went wide. It had been a peculiar spell choice, Dee thought, as Elsa likely knew this would be the last spell she'd be able to cast, and fire took time to unfold its whole power, time that they wouldn't have had, anyway.

On the other side, the Slytherins took a more defensive approach. Henry neutralised the dark cloud overhead to keep it from striking again, while Bridget gave Henry another small healing boost - calculated choice, or were they just that secure in their victory?

Dee sighed as the timer ran out. "Stop! Time's up!" she called, then hopped up onto the stage. It felt odd, stopping a duel while all four participants were still standing, but such were the new rules. She took a moment to examine the four duellists, had taken some notes during the duel to keep score in case it was stopped by the time limit. In the end, it had been a closer result than expected; if Bridget hadn't healed just now, and Elsa's spell had hit, the Lions might have been able to scrape into a close win - but the Vipers had had the upper hand from the beginning, and had done a good job staying on top. "Slytherin wins," she announced loudly, then paused a bit to allow for cheers and clapping from the audience, while she raised her wand to vanish the other storm that was still grumbling above the Gryffindors' heads. "Congratulations. Good duel, everyone. Please see a healer or go to the Hospital Wing to get patched up."

Giving the four a brief smile, Dee turned away. She had her own duel to prepare for.

Time tick away and thr clouds above their heads swirled, Henry couldn't ignore the thoughts circling that the lighting can strike again.

Turning his wand upward along with his gaze, Henry muttered"Meteolojinx Recanto," his eyes upward watching as the cloud faded from view. After hearing his captain's voice of confidence, a part of the teen felt his owm confidence growing. Enough that he wasn't fully paying attention to the area ahead nor spells that would come from it.

Suddenly a warmth hit him, fueling his confidence. Henry glanced toward Bridget, casting a quick nod of appreciation when he saw out of the corner of his eye sparks flying. Head jerked forward and attempted to dodge, only to feel a hard pressure on his shoulder.

The teen would have rub it if he hadn't been to busy dogging the incendio heading his way as well. Henry took a breath, a part of him understood it allowed Bridget to cast easily if both gryffindors targeted him but another part of him felt tired of dodging.

Aimimg his wand, the teen perpared himself for the next spell when the ravenclaw called the end of the duel. Henry looked over at his partner before ahead, stopping the duel while all four still stood conscious felt strange. Almost like he failed.

A few moments lassed before it was announced that slytherin won. Turning to look at Bridget, the teen wasn't sure how the winner ia determined and a part of him didn't feel like a winner. Casting spells and attempting to knocked his friend unconscious, didn't seem like someone who won would do.

The teen fiddled with his wand, nodding toward the ravenclaw's words about the hospital wing or healer. Taking a breath, Henry looked over at Bridget as he spoke"feels strange to win," strange for multiple reasons one of them being this new time limit, "brillant duel as usual, Cap," the teen gave the elder year a smile before casting a gaze ahead at the gryffindor side.

"I'm going to watch the other duel, see you around," Henry spoke toward Bridget with a smile and small nod before going across the platform toward the gryffindor side. Soft smile on his face. A small awkward wave as he spoke"good duel, mates. It was close," the teen was glad that he dodged that final incendio. Unsure what would have happened if he didn't or if he didn't cast the counter charm on the could.

Heney cast a glance toward the side at @Adeline Hughes's duel that seemed to be going well for the vipers. Henry looked, he is suppose to be happy right? Eyes tearing away from the to Nicky as he spoke"I'm going to watch Addi's duel if you want to join," a small smile before the teen moved and started on his way toward Adeline's duel with or without Nicky whatever she chooses to do.

Bridget wanted to use the last few moments she had to try at landing a shot one more time, to end on something other than a string of misses. She tended to dwell on her shortcomings, so one final success would be nice. But instead of meticulously lining her wand up for one of the Gryffindors, she directed it to Henry. Her desire to prove herself was in competition with playing smart--she'd been keeping mental track of the same things Dee was, at least as best as she could while playing, and was fairly certain they had the lead. And when you had the lead, you ran out the clock and didn't make risky moves; her team came over her personal wants.

While Henry removed the cloud that had struck her just moments earlier, she restored some of his strength. She imagined Sylvie's Flipendo replaced the aches she'd just soothed, but perhaps it had given him the boost he needed to at least avoid Elsa's fire. And with that, the time was called.

She stood straight, shoulders back, as Dee surveyed them, running through the match in her head to double-check what she was decently sure of. Their numbers were even; someone going down would have been the most obvious indicator of a winning side. Who had landed more hits, she didn't know, though they had removed Sylvie's ability to cast for a decent portion of the match. Bridget couldn't see herself, but considering she'd taken a single bolt of electricity, was pretty sure she was in the best shape. Henry, on the other hand, wasn't looking much better than the Gryffindors. Dee's announcement of Slytherin emerging victorious would spare her from the inconclusive thoughts. In spite of the weird ending--it felt too soon for the duel to be over with all four of them still standing--she smiled. A win was a win, and they had worked for it.

"You did a good job," she praised. "Those incapacitating spells early on were key." From what she gathered, Henry wasn't very self-confident and fairly like to reject the notion he'd done well, but maybe, as a captain who knew what she was talking about when it came to duelling, he'd eventually accept her words as genuine. Their opponents still standing at the match's end presented an opportunity she hadn't had before; facing Elsa and Sylvie, she could offer some ending sportsmanship. "Well fought, you two." Unsure what else to add for lack of practice in this sort of exchange, she mirrored her nod at the start and stepped off the stage.

Henry was going to go watch the single ongoing Slytherin duel--Dmitri and Opeila's, as expected, looked like it had been over for a while. She would be doing the same, since Illowy and Katrina were facing off in it, but had the feeling he'd rather watch with his friends than his captain. "Make sure you at least see one of the medics," she instructed, a repeat of Dee's direction. He had taken quite a few spells, a fair bit of those fire, so she didn't want him neglecting his body to get to spectating as quickly as possible. With that, she left him to talk to Elsa, herself heading for someone to check she was good to go after that lightning.
Thank you, Dee, for speedrunning this with us! Good game, Elsa and Sylvie, and it was fun strategizing with you again, Henry!
