One year at Hogwarts is one year irl. July 1st you will move up to a year as long as you have a trunk completed and are registered in the index.

After you have you have everything completed that is required in those sections, you post here to be put into the Index.

Okay so.... i need to register my character into the index, then create this encyclopedia with all my character's information, stats and this trunk.... so for my trunk to be completed, i just need to include all the spells and potions that I learnt in first year to go to the second year? Is that right?

You would need to create your encyclopedia first.

To start off with I would recommend starting off with the basics and not making anything fancy, just make a post in this forum

The title of the thread would be:
Lucy Well- First Year- Hufflepuff

In the first post you need to have this information.

Full Name:
House:
Age:
Wand:
School Year:
Patronus: (Not applicable until 6th years)
Species: (Human, Vampire, Veela, etc. - must be registered) and approved.
History/Background Story: This would be your character’s life prior to Hogwarts as well as what has happened during your time at Hogwarts.

Then make your trunk your second page. It must follow all of the rules from this thread.

You will not post any spell, potions, or abilities into this. All you need to add to the standard trunk format is the stats you choose.

After you have those things completed you can register for index in this thread.

You do not have to learn any spells or potions to move up a year. You just need to have registered for index.
