hello! currently in art sobbing over having to evaluate my artwork! I DON’T REMEMBER WHAT I DID TO MAKE MY PAINTING, I JUST PAINTED???? honestly my teacher makes us over analyse everything.

That’s the worst! I used to be a music major, with a focus on composition and theory. I had to over analyze my own compositions too!
I was just like, “these are pretty standard harmonies, what is there to analyze?”
The teacher was so focused on musical symbolism that he couldn’t just accept that I liked the sound of my chord progressions and it was that simple
