A Piece of the Stars
Selena had been dreaming about coming to Hogwarts since her father had first told her about the school of magic. She had waited not so patiently for years for her turn to go, watching her brother and sister go ahead of her and have so much fun...all without her. Now that she was here, however, well, Hogwarts certainly did not disappoint. It was spectacular and magical, but she was homesick. She had no idea as to how Belle and Will had been able to bear it during their first years.

Selena knew that she could go and talk to either her of her older siblings, and they would comfort her once they saw she was upset, but she was still hesitant to. It wasn't like she couldn't get in contact with them, Will was a Ravenclaw like her, and Belle was a Hufflepuff, but she hadn't said a word to them about this. Inwardly, she was afraid that it was only her that was feeling this way. Maybe her homesickness was holding her back from her full potential here. She needed to let it go, but how to do that was evading her still.
Perhaps she would go and talk to Will or Belle. Well, Belle would probably be with friends somewhere right now, but she could go to the common room and see if Will was there. It would be quite refreshing to talk to him, so she started walking along the corridor and the familiar path that would lead her up to the west tower.

A Piece of the Stars
It was a Friday afternoon and Lizzy was in an amazing mood. It was the beginning of the weekend, she had close to no schoolwork, and she had lots of time to start that new book she had gotten from the library or just to hang out with friends. Over the time she had been at Hogwarts, Lizzy had slowly began to learn how to relax and become less school oriented. She learned how to take time for herself and still get everything she needed to get done done.Interacting: @Selena Arden ☽ ➶ ☾ Mentioning: --
As she thought about the book sitting in her dormitory, Jiggery Pokery and Hocus Pocus, she realized that she would first have to finish another book she had insisted on starting earlier in the week. That book was a muggle book called the Murder on the Orient Express. It was an old favorite of hers, read plenty of times over, but there was nothing like reading a beloved book for the second time, third time, or even beyond that! She would probably finish that one later tonight, and then her reading palate would be cleared for reading Jiggery Pokery and Hocus Pocus.
In her deep thoughts, Lizzy had neglected to pay attention of where she was walking. She ran right into a girl who was walking, ironically, the same way Lizzy had been. The both of them fell over in a heap of tangled limbs. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" Lizzy exclaimed from her place on the floor. She sat up a bit dazed from the fall. "It was completely my fault. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going, I was thinking about something else. I'm so sorry."
Lizzy was apologizing the living daylights out of the poor, fallen girl. As Lizzy stood up, she offered the girl a hand to help her up. Even though she had already apologized, she began to say another one to show the girl just how sorry she truly was. After all, it couldn't be exactly pleasant to have a random girl knock you to the ground while you were minding your own business. "I just want to say that I am so s--" Lizzy was cut off abruptly as she saw the girl's face for the first time. "Selena? What are you doing here?"
I have OOC permission from Selena to run into her and knock her over.

A Piece of the Stars
Selena was walking quickly now in the direction of the west tower. She had made up her mind to see if she could find Will there, and if she couldn't she would wander the castle until she could find one of her siblings. Either one of them would be willing to talk to her about her conflicted feelings. Will, Selena felt just a smidge closer to, while Belle was kinder and had more emotional capacity than Will.

A PIECE OF THE STARS.
All of a sudden, a force slammed into Selena from behind. She and the other person tumbled to the floor, too taken by surprise to slow either of their falls. She groaned as she took the blunt of the fall, her shoulder colliding roughly with the hard stone floor. "What in the--" she began. Who in the castle couldn't see two feet in front of their face? How was it possible to run into somebody when you were the only two in the whole corridor? Selena sighed softly, but refused to lose her head. She prided herself on being able to remain calm in any given situation.
The other girl was apologizing profusely to Selena, seemingly very sorry. "It's fine," Selena said in a friendly manner. "No one was hurt right?" The girl extended her hand and Selena took it, using it to pull herself to her feet. "Selena?" the girl asked.
Selena looked at the girl in bewilderment. How did she know her? Taking in her face for the first time, Selena realized it was Lizzy Solace. A Lizzy with incredibly shorter hair than the last time they had spoke, but still Lizzy all the same. Selena smiled with a mischievous glint in her eye. Already the homesick feeling was starting to fade. "Been a while hasn't it Lizzy?" she asked. "As to why I'm here, well, I imagine it is the same reason as you. I'm a witch, and here to learn magic. What I'd like to know is why haven't you written me and if you'd like to catch up, because clearly we have a lot to catch up on." Selena said, looking directly into her cousin's eyes.
