It was a confusing time for him, and he still managed to stick with it. He tries to prove himself worthy, not that it ever does him any good. He joined Dueling and plans on getting revenge. Let’s begin with the Basic Site Rules, as it condenses our expectations both on HiO and on Discord, should you join it. The second thing I’ll ask you to read is our Site Rating. It gives our expectations of roleplaying onsite, especially since not all of our users are thirty something years old, some of us are under eighteen, and we don’t want to read about stuff that exceeds our rating. That does end up with your post being deleted. If not banned, according to the Site Rating. We want to have fun onsite, and that is our basic guide! [/font]
[font=century gothic] S C H O O L I N G Reducio Ok, I'm sure you were anticipating this! This is one of our most populated questions people ask, "When do we start classes? How do we start classes?" I say, good question. When do we start classes? How do we start classes? ---1) You start in ten days OOC should you want to do homework, and you also have to have 20 posts. Posting in the Game Room doesn't provide posts, but posting in OOC Lets Chat! provides a post, rping provides a post. ---2) Once your report card is unlocked, homework is PURELY OOC, and by doing it before you graduate, you might earn the spells, as long as you don't make a "T". ---3) You could instead, learn the spells and potions, or even just the lessons, and see what Professors might want to RP with you, giving you an IC lesson and you learn the spell. ---4) You could have a Prodigal Charms \| Prodigal DADA \| Prodigal Transfiguration \| Prodigal Potions (I might be forgetting some, but uh- 🤷‍♂️) and learn spells a year ahead of you. IE, you could be a first year, with the Prodigal DADA ability, and on top of first year DADA spells you learn (Periculum, Verdimillious, Fumos, Flipendo, and Mucus Ad Nausuem) you could write a rp for DADA where you learn second year DADA spells (Mimblewimble, Bluebell Flames, Obscuro, Expelliarmus) making you slightly more able to do things, even in dueling or our new sport, Broom Racing. I think some still partake in it. Like, in Rules, there are both OOC and IC rules, as well as Discord Rules... but in IC rules, these are rules we can break... OOC rules, I don't recommend breaking.

its happened before- sometimes we don't realize we do that... like there were several new rules put in the rules. Like one was preventing double posting here.

9.) Double Posting In the OC Areas, please use the edit feature in your post rather than double post, this gives other users the opportunity to make replies and prevents spamming.

14.) Solicitation is not something we allow, this being in private message on our Discord or in our on site private message system (owls). This includes advertising for other discords, other communities, selling products, other websites and your shops, threads or clubs on site. We do have a thread where players can seek roleplay partners on site as well as a channel in discord where you can mention threads that may be of interest.
Do not spam this thread or the discord channel, if we see daily/weekly reposts to advertise we will remove your ability to post in these areas.
Blind messaging/soliciting users on our discord will result in your removal from our discord; Blind messaging/soliciting users via owls will result in the loss of your ability to use our private messaging (owl) system.
We do not offer a thread, forum area or channel for you to advertise other discords or communities.
Do not make your own thread or use the general chat areas as places to advertise, you will again lose your ability to post in these areas if you do this.
If you get a message from someone soliciting you to join a group, a community, purchase something, etc. Please take a screen shot and forward it to myself or another Head of House member.
You are expected to comply with the instructions of the moderators. If they are being unreasonable with their expectations, you can file a complaint with the staff, but you are expected to comply at the time. Any misuse of their position will be dealt with internally.

Moderators include: the Head of House administrative team, the Professors, Assistants as well as Prefects.

Failure to comply with these standards will possibly result in staff warnings, your account being muted, your post being altered or deleted or your account being removed/banned from our community depending on the severity and frequency of offence.

12.) Information Acquisition is only obtained in character. All information a player gains is done in character in a way that is visible for other roleplayers OC. Meaning - we do not allow you to write in a foreign language without a translation. We do not allow players to hide messages inside of broken links or using the transparent color or a very small font. That information will be retconned (meaning it never happened) the first time we discover this and will likely show the hidden information. Repeat incidents will likely result in your dismissal from the community.
Roleplays done via. private message or over discord do not count.
Messages must be legible, the content translated and visible to users.
13.) Double Posting: In roleplays there is no specific turn order that is enforced but we do ask members to give other members an opportunity to reply to roleplay threads. This is considered to be a courtesy.

14.) Respecting Boundaries: As a player you have the right to boundaries that are respected. If you do not wish to communicate with a user for any reason, you have the right to ask them to no longer contact you. It is our expectation that your boundaries are respected. So if you block someone on discord and they use our site to continue to speak with you, knowing that they are blocked (disrespecting and ignoring your boundary) you can contact administration (with screenshots) and we will intervene. It is our expectation that they are aware of the boundary. Sending them a clear owl stating that you wish to sever all communication is a clear way to do this. If they send you a letter after being asked to cease communication on site, that is inappropriate. Are there reasonable exceptions to this? Yes, but they are incredibly rare. If you need to communicate something to them, you can reach out to the staff and they can bridge this. But if it is a lengthy explanation of your feelings or a request to talk then the answer will be no. If it is "please submit my moves for this match" or "this strat" then by all means we will transmit the information necessary but nothing more.

I am sending you this letter to ask you to cease all communication with me -- this means I do not wish to speak with you over discord DMs, site private message owls, email, etc. This is because [insert reason or skip this] I no longer feel comfortable remaining in communication with you. I have screen shot this communication for my records. If you continue to communicate with me despite this firm boundary that I have placed, I will be forced to contact the site administration.
