Henry seemed to relax after Franklin whispered the word, not audible at all. It was as if Henry had been waiting for it. Maybe he had. Rose hadn't thought that Henry liked Frankie very much, but maybe there was something between them that Rose didn't know about. Rose caught Henry's silent response and smirked at his retaliation at Faith. Of course it was obvious that Frankie had done it. Faith had wanted to make sure that Frankie hadn't been cheating, but Rose didn't think he would. He wasn't the kind of person to back down from a dare.

Frankie's dare concluded, and the rounds continued, and then her own question approached. Rose consulted her brother, weighing her options. He commented about Faith, and Rose couldn't hold back a laugh. She laughed a little. She then leaned toward Henry slightly, watching Faith carefully, and stroked her invisible beard in thought. "Indeed. We must tread carefully with Faithy. We never know what she might whip out of her pockets."

Faith rolled her eyes, taking the teasing in stride.

Henry suggested a dare, and Rose lifted her chin. "Dare."

Faith took only a moment to mull over good dares. "Talk in a British accent for the next five rounds."

The redhead paused, knowing that wouldn't be too hard. Her American accent wasn't very strong, and she lived in a country full of people who talked in British accents. "Alright, then, love," she said, a near-flawless impression of a British person, except exaggerated in certain parts for the humor of the moment. She knew not every British person called people "love." "I get to talk like Mr. Fancypants," she said, lightly nudging Henry. "This will be interesting." It wasn't a bad dare. Not very embarrassing, not very hard. But not quite easy, either. She'd have to stay on her toes to keep up the impression.

Rose cast her gaze around the group. Almost everybody had gone. But Rose didn't want it to just go in circles, so she picked a different person. "Henry. Truth or Dare?" she asked him, absentmindedly stroking the cat on her lap.

"Hey, I haven't gone yet!" Gabe retorted.

She smiled softly at him. "You'll have your turn. Don't make me sing the patience song."

He pretended to pout, but Rose knew he was just pretending. He wasn't really upset. Gabe gently scratched behind the ears of the tabby cat on his lap.

Henry seemed amused by Faith's dare. Though Rose wasn't sure that was Faith's intention, it was a funny thought, that because of Henry's insulting of her, she had retaliated by having Rose make fun of her accent. Rose and Henry exchanged smiles before the rounds continued. Rose liked being able to joke around with Henry. It came as naturally as it did with Gabe, and though Rose found that weird at first, since she had been living with Gabe her whole life and had barely known Henry for over a couple of years, it just felt right. It just made sense. She didn't know why, but it was like she had known Henry forever.

The redhead ran her hand over Chaska's back gently, and the fluffy cat shifted in her sleep, laying on her side on Rose's lap. The warmth on her lap and the warmth of the banter had made Rose feel a little better about living with Henry. She had known that her and him were going to get along, but she hadn't any clue how he was going to interact with her siblings. They were annoying at times, but he seemed able to tolerate them, though he hadn't had as much practice as Rose.

Gabe laughed a little as he was nudged in the side, the two brothers sharing mischievous looks. Rose smiled. She knew how much Gabe liked Henry. Henry was incredibly cool in the eyes of the young Ravenclaw. The tabby cat crawled off of Gabe's lap and took a seat between Gabe and Henry. Rose had always found the way that Loki dealt with things iconic. You could always rely on his personality shining through. He used to be untrustworthy, but now he seemed to be a little more comfortable around people, even though he could be grumpy at times. Rose smiled at him, then began thinking of different possibilities for her truth to ask Henry.

She had a few questions that she wanted to know about him, but knew that he would not want all of her siblings knowing. That would just be kind of awkward. Like what he remembered of his mom. Like if he liked Anna or Arthur more. Like what his mom looked like. Actually, a lot of them were about his mom. She knew that was a touchy subject, and she'd have to be careful talking about that, just in case she dug up some emotions Henry hadn't wanted to have at the moment. So maybe she wouldn't bring up anything that could potentially be a sensitive subject. Maybe something a little more fun than that.

Rose ran her hand over Chaska again, then presented her truth. "If you could use one word- and only one word- to describe each of us, which words would you pick?" That gave him plenty of room. He could be serious about it, or he could joke around, or a mix of both. Between five and eight words, depending on if he was going to include himself and the cats or not. One word for each of them.

Gabe crossed his arms as Henry gave him his word. "There is no way that is an actual word," he joked.

Rose sometimes forgot that Henry was a genius and he knew much more than an average human should know about anything. But then he did something like this and she was reminded. He pulled fancy words out of his pocket like they were nothing. Rose was more expecting him to just say a word that would describe each of them, but she didn't expect them to be rarely-used words that were just- fancy.

"Fancypants," she murmured playfully under her breath in between a couple of his words. Rantipole. Equanimity. Viridity. Pygalgia. She didn't doubt that Frankie knew at least a couple of those words, and the look of confirmation she detected on his face when Henry gave him his word confirmed he knew at least that one.

But his last word was Rose's favorite. He seemed to save the best for last, making eye contact with her and saying a single word. But for her, it wasn't fancy. It wasn't long or rare.

Sister.

Rose couldn't stop herself from grinning. "Thank you-" she started. She was going to say more, but Gabe interrupted her. She shrugged. It really wasn't that important.

Gabe's mouth hung open comically. "Do you spend your free time memorizing the dictionary?!" he said in disbelief. Rose laughed. "I mean, I knew Frankie did-"

"Okay, that was just for a week. And it was only to prove a point," Franklin protested, rolling his eyes.

"Whatever," Gabe murmured. Henry asked Gabe truth or dare. The boy didn't stop to consider it as the others had. "Dare," he said. Rose had known Gabe was going to choose dare. It was just what he did during these games. Honestly, it made it kind of boring if it was just the two of them because then Rose would have to come up with all kinds of dares and he would complain if she picked truth.

Faith narrowed her eyes at Henry, though it was clear she wasn't actually annoyed with him. "It sounds nasty to me, so I probably don't want to know, do I?" she asked, a small smile on her face.

Gabe's mouth hung open as Henry admitted he had actually read the Oxford Dictionary. Rose knew she could never do that- that sounded so boring. Reading definition after definition, in fancy words and explanations. It just sounded grueling. There was so much more she could do with her time. Rose knew Henry did mostly read other stuff, as he said, and didn't spend all his time memorizing the dictionary, but really- Rose didn't think she could do it even once. She would much rather curl up with a nice novel, full of a dramatic story with tension and release, conflict and closure.

Frankie nodded, smiling at Henry at his suggestion. "You'll have to keep me on my toes, I don't study it often."

Gabe grinned widely, standing up. Rose laughed. He was actually gonna do this. "Gabe, do you really think this is a good idea?" she asked him, though she couldn't stop smiling.

"This is an absolutely wonderful idea. I don't know what you're talking about."

Rose rolled her eyes, getting up to follow him into the kitchen. Gabe needed some help separating the egg yolks from the whites, but he eventually was able to follow through on the first part of Henry's dare, cracking the eggs with mostly his elbows and putting the yolks in a glass.

"Gabe, you know you could get food poisoning from this," Faith said, one of her eyebrows raising.

Gabe rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah, whatever. It's only like a three in twenty thousand chance or something. It's not like I'm gonna die."

Frankie's eyebrows raised, impressed. "He actually got the statistics right," he murmured, though Gabe didn't hear.

The second year downed the egg yolks and grinned at Henry. "Was that to your satisfaction, Mr. Knight?" he asked, wiping his mouth with his sleeve.
