Eri had been trying to avoid a lot of people lately. Since they seemed to hate her. Eri's Fawlet, and Kaegen Deathmote. Eri's was mad at her for apparently ruining her friendship with Adam Harringtom and Kaegen. Kaegen thinking she is some kind of death witch that tried to kill him. she didn't try to kill him. It was an accident. So naturally she talked to them to figure things out, and it didn't end very well.

There Eri sat by the Great Lake. It was bearing supper time, but she wasn't going to go. The brunette sat under a tree that's trunk was concealed at the base by bushes with a small area for a person could sit. She was only visible to people coming towards her from behind or infront, since the back bushes were very small and showed color between the leaves.

It was a peaceful spot to sit where she could gather her thoughts and sit silently by herself. Maybe someone might even come along and say hello. Hopefully it was someone she wasn't trying to avoid someone who wasn't mad at her.

The brunette tossed a couple rocks at the Lake that was ten feet from her. It looked calm and still on it's glassy surface. Each time a rock hit the surface, ripples broke the calm area of the still glassy surface.

Eri thought about how Kaegen thought she meant to kill him. She also thought about how Eri's told Eri she was perfect and did not make mistakes. Eri wasn't perfect. Why did people keep thinking that?

Anyways she sat there not knowing if anyone might come and say I hi isn't. Not.

Archer had had a great day. His first detention! He was ashamed, but that ice cream was worth it, he kept telling himself.
When he got tired of being around humans for a while, he usually either went to the Owlery, or to the Great Lake. He loved taking photos, and even if he couldn't take pictures of Hogwarts, he could always admire the view.
Walking near the edge of the lake, Archer spotted ripples coming from one specific spot. Over and over again. As he walked closer, he realized that someone was throwing rocks into the lake. Archer didn't want to disturb them, but seeing as though they were probably bored, he decided to investigate. But also, because it seemed like a nice spot to sit.
Of course, if they weren't upset or anything, he would probably high-tail it out of there, worried that he'd disturbed something.
Archer stepped around the brush, and found himself looking at a brunette girl, with stunning green eyes. They looked at each other for a moment and Archer spoke first.

"Hi?"
There was another awkward pause. Archer decided to continue.

"Are you okay...? It's dinnertime now, did something happen? Why aren't you at dinner?"
It probably seemed rude, but it was just instinct. People often told Archer he was very motherly, so he could argue and say it wasn't his fault if it seemed rude to the other person.
Archer blinked at her. And she opened her mouth to speak.

"I'm fine. I had dinner." She showed him an empty piece of tin foil. "I don't eat in the great hall." It was true. She knew that if she did go eat at the Ravenclaw table. Things might happen to her and she didn't want it to happen. She had already injured someone in the great hall she didn't want to do it again.

She stayed seated and continued throwing rocks into the water. She didn't really want to talk about it, but she would if she needed to. Sighing she looked down. "It was something that happened in the past. I don't like eating in the great hall with all the Ravenclaws. It isn't one of my favorite things to do." She forced a smile and threw a rock as far as she could into the lake. She knew she would eventually have to go back to eating in the great hall, but she didn't have to that night. Maybe her second year would go a lot better than this one because she was in a bit of a struggle this year. It started out pretty rocky and she didn't know how to explain it to people she just knew that it might get better.

"I'm fine. I had dinner. I don't eat in the Great Hall."

She showed him an empty piece of tin foil. Archer didn't think it was weird. Surely she had her own reasoning for doing this. But obviously, something had gone wrong with her friends, and it was too tough to be able to sit in the Great Hall.

She sighed. Archer took that as an invitation to sit down, and plopped down next to her, looking out onto the Great Lake. He waited. From experience, he knew it was better to just be a presence to someone you just met, especially if they needed to vent about something that happened. It was better to let the person go at their pace, and Archer was happy to wait. His problems were probably minuscule compared to what she had happen to her.

"It was something that happened in the past. I don't like eating in the great hall with all the Ravenclaws. It isn't one of my favorite things to do."
She said softly, and chucked another rock into the lake.

Archer handed her another one, and she threw it into the lake too. They sat in silence for a while, and she kept throwing rocks in the lake. Archer handed her one after another. If this was a coping mechanism, than he was totally cool with it. After all, he had seen people with worse coping mechanisms, even coming close to hurting themselves to take a mind off what was happening.

Archer decided to initiate the conversation this time. If this girl had something she wanted to talk to someone about, it was better if he started the conversation, because if she did, she might think it would be like forcing something on him.

"What happened?" he murmured softly.

Eri sighed and stopped throwing rocks. "Well, a few things happened, but the main one was I meant to do the protego spell and said diffindo instead. And accidentally hit my friend. Then things happened and my first few friends aren't my friends anymore." She sighed again. Hopefully he didn't think she was awful. "One of them told me I was perfect so I couldn't have made a mistake. That I hurt my friend on purpose. I-I don't like having to live up to perfect standards. It's just to much for me to handle." She stopped talking. She felt bad for laying this on him. "Sorry that was a lot. I probably should've said less."

Eri looked at the Lake. It was a beautiful thing. The glassy surface was now calm since she stopped throwing rocks. It wasn't the greatest calming mechanism but it helped a little. So that's why she was there. At least he didn't seem like he thought she was weird. He just wanted to help her calm down, which was nice.

The brunette wiped a strand of hair from her face and continued to look at the Great Lake. Her favorite place to read was next to the Great Lake.

He walked down to the lake with a grin on his face and his hands in his pockets. He had achieved once again another spell that went perfectly right and did what it had to do. He walked down the hill some more and could see the lake and two people he couldn't make them out from far away so he just started walking faster. He got to the bottom of the hill and took a deep breath.

He saw standing there was his half-girlfriend which was really complicated to say because they weren't a couple but they liked each other a lot. She was talking to a boy which he saw at one place he didn't remember, his mind was a little shuffled at the moment.

"Hey Eri!! he made the grin when they first met and as always she started laughing, don't mean to eavesdrop on your conversation but can I charm in. He stood there listening to Eri's story about casting a spell on Keagen Deathmote on accident which he believed her. He liked Eri and he wished that her friends wouldn't just throw her in the dust and always ratt her out of everything it was not fare for her. He sat next to her listening and waiting.

Archer listened to her little story. He could feel the pain that this had caused her, and felt sad for her, because this was a horrible thing to lose your friends over.

After she had finished telling him what had happened, she sighed. Archer probably looked concerned, because he felt concerned.
"Oh... That must suck. And if they straight up ignored you after that... Since you couldn't even say that it was a total accident..." Archer kept rambling. "But, as a look on the brighter side, you seem like a really cool person. I bet that in a couple weeks, you'll have an awesome new friend group who won't judge you on how 'perfect' you are." He chuckled softly.

"While I don't mean to be rude," he started again, "if these friends of yours got angry at you over such a small accident, and told you that you were too 'perfect' to do it on accident, in my opinion, I think you will be much better off without them."

Archer would probably be in a dull mood like this if it had happened to him. But he was sure, once this girl had found her feet again, and got better and more confident, she was sure to make some new friends, and maybe even reclaim some of the old ones, if she explained her insecurities. It would be a hard journey, that was for sure. But maybe, just maybe, Archer could become her friend and support her on that journey.
He shook himself out of his thoughts, internally laughing at how cheesy he had sounded.
