Understanding and patching friendships
Eri had felt bad about what happened in the great hall and what that made Eris think about her. She wanted to have a chance to apologize and explain what happened to the prefect, but that was hard since Eris was always busy with her prefect duties and hard to find.
The brunette happened to be walking by the great lake when she happened to see Eris. Her red hair catching the corner of Eri's eye. Finally she would hopefully get a chance to speak to Eris. The prefect seemed to be alone at the moment.
Eri walked up behind Eris and when she was five feet away she stopped and spoke quietly. "Um E-Eris, c-can I talk to you for a moment? It's okay if you don't want to I understand if you never want to see me again." She stood nervously waiting for Eris's response and hopefully she wouldn't punch her in the face again.
It was plainly clear that Eri was a bit scared of the Gryffindor. Completely aware that she had the strength to punch another student in the face. So there Eri stood in fear of getting hit again by Eris the prefect who used to be one of her first friends.

Understanding and patching friendships
It had been a rare free day for the red-headed ex-prefect. The lack of things to do, being reviled from her prefect position, was new and disappointing. Eris had not liked sitting alone, stewing in her thoughts. She understood why she had lost her position, and was glad that a room mate and sort-of-friend of her's had became prefect in her place, but the lack of things to do was too much. Eris had gone down to the lake to clear her head, and was walking by the side of the lake.
She was bundled up in her tattered, old jacket, a gift from her sister, on a terrible day. As it wasn't a school day, Eris was free to wear whatever she pleased. She only had one outfit though, which was the one she had arrived at hogwarts in. Her tattered jacket, a yellow shirt, and jeans. It wasn't perfect, but it was much better than the long robes, that would of dragged in the water of the great lake, as Eris walked around it. She hoped to find the squid or some other animal swimming under the water, but from her vantage point, it was unnaturally quiet under the waters of the great lake.
Deep in thought, wandering around the sides of the lake, a whisper of noise that wasn't the wind sounded from behind her. Eris turned around, face breaking into a scowl. Of course Eri Windstone had come to interrupt her moment of peace, probably come to gloat over Eris losing her position over punching Eri in the face. Although, it wasn't wide spread news yet that Eris had been fired. Only a select few were aware that Rhea Bishop was the new prefect. But Eri always seemed to know everything. One of the many reasons Eris despised her. Along with Eri's role in Eris losing her friends.
The venom in her eyes faded away, as she studied the other girl. She, evidently, looked terrified of Eris. That wasn't unexpected, although Eris hadn't expected Eri to fear her, that much. It had just been one punch. Eri seemed to want to talk, but what about? Interest peaked to what Eri could possibly have to say to redeem herself, Eris's scowl vanished completely, to be replaced by a look of immense confusion and wariness. She could barely hear what the other girl had to say.
"Speak up, and tell me what it is." Her voice came out harsher than indented, but Eris refused to back down. Her quizzical expression was mirrored everywhere, expect her eyes were shooting daggers at the fellow first year. She didn't' look like a barbarian cable of beating up other students, although she certainly looked capable of rolling her eyes or saying something bossy.

Understanding and patching friendships
"I want to explain what happened. I muttered the wrong spell. I didn't mean to hurt Kaegen. I-I don't even know why they haven't kicked me out yet. I don't deserve to be a Ravenclaw after that stupid mistake." Eri's eyes sparkle with tears. She wipes them away not wanting to cry. This girl still scared her. She hoped Eris would understand what had happened that night. If she didn't that would be okay. Its not like Eri lost all of her first friends. Actually that is exactly what happened. She had been making some new friends, but the friends she lost were her first friends.
She took a step back from Eris a bit scared of the girl. Why was she so mad? Or was she just raising her voice for some reason? Eri didn't know, but the brunette was still scared of Eris. Maybe she would find out, but for now she wanted Eris to forgice her so they could patch up their friendship. It might happen but it probably wouldn't. All Eri could do was hope Eris would forgive her but maybe that wouldn't happen. Eri stared at the ground glad she had gotten all of that out.

Understanding and patching friendships
That girl had hurt one of Eris's friends, and ruined the first friendships Eris had had at Hogwarts in the course of five minutes. With one simple spell. And her excuse for that, her explanation for why she ruined Eris's friendship with two of her dearest friends it was an accident? The girl who seemed to know everything, seemed to know your very thoughts, said it was an accident?
The notion was almost laughable. Almost. That Eri Windstone, smartest girl in school, know-it-all, always reading a book had messed up. It was absurd. And unfair. How had Eri messed up, just once. How had her one mistake led to such horrors in Eris's life? Eris couldn't believe it, couldn't believe the unfairness. The stupidity, in that one statement.
Her rage flared like a living creature, clawing to come out and attack the other girl. The look on Eri's face was the only thing stopping Eris from punching Eri into the next week. She looked scared, like a rabbit being cornered by a wolf.
Eris was the wolf. Eri was scared of her. Another laughable notion, that Eris somehow didn't laugh at. How on earth had they come to this? They had met on the train. Eri had been a friend of sorts, inimitably one Eris was jealous of, and then a bitter enemy.
How was Eris supposed to forgive the person who symbolized all Eris had lost? Her prefect role, her friends, everything! Eris was lost for words, trying to focus her energies on not socking Eri in the face or completely losing it in a similar way. At least Eri was sorry. Although she would have to say sorry to everyone in school for it to be enough. She would have to bring Adam back, to bring Kaegen, to make everybody friends again for the sorry to be enough. Only then would it be okay in Eris's mind.
"You should be kicked out." Eris's voice came out bitterly, as she stared at the other girl. The ruiner of lives. "But they're giving you a chance to stay and fix things. So fix them."

Eri just stared at the ground. "I have been trying. Do you know how hard it is to find Kaegen when he doesn't want to be found?" At least Eris wasn't going to sock her in the face again. Well at least she hoped not. She just wanted all of them to be friends again. The brunette knew Eris wouldn't believe she made a mistake. Eri isn't perfect. She doesn't know everything. Which made her angry that people thought she should know everything. "I'm not perfect you know. I don't know everything, so don't expect me to never mess up." Her voice not very loud but angry in tone.
It is not the best thing when everyone you know expects perfection from you since you seem to know everything. That is how Eri's life goes. It is all don't disappoint got to be perfect. When that one slip up happens everyone gets mad at her for not being the perfect girl they thought her to be. She has had enough and wanted to make it clear that she was not perfect. Not even close. She made mistakes, but hid them from everyone. Now she just wanted to hide her self from everyone.

Understanding and patching friendships
She was trying. The perfect girl, who did everything right, was trying. Eris crossed her arms, scowl deepening at Eri's words. Then she mentioned Kaegen, and Eris's rage rose up again. What gave her the right--what gave this insufferable girl the right to bring up one of Eris's friends, one of the people that she cared about? Eri had brought this upon herself, and deserved every horrid feeling running rampart in her head. Face flushing red, Eris took a step closer to Eri, until she was close enough to punch.
She was trying to stare up the other girl, and intimate her, but from a stand point of four feet tall, it wasn't that intimating. At least she was trying. "Now listen here, you-you BRAT!" she yelled the last word, not really knowing what to say, "Don't talk about my friend. You have no right to say Kaegen's name. Do. You. Understand? You slashed his chest open, so excuse him if he doesn't want to talk you. Excuse me if I'm not going to accept your stupid apology, Ms. Windstone. You almost killed my friend."
The girl flushed even brighter red, fists clenched at her sides. Then Eri replied with the statement that she wasn't perfect. Eris resisted the urge to slam her fists into the girl's face, as she snorted and took a step back. "Oh, you are far from perfect. Nobody perfect would say or do the things that you do Eri Windstone. And I hope you know that."

Eri slightly flinched as the girl yelled in her face. She deserved that. She deserved all of this. "Yes I am completely aware of what I did. It was an accident, but you can call it whatever you want, okay. I know I'm not perfect. I see that every day I remember that my parents left me for some stupid job! So don't tell me what I already know." Eri was getting really mad. She never thought Eris could get her this mad, but Eri was keeping it contained. Eri felt awful about what happened and she didn't need some kid yelling and reminding her of what she did wrong.
The brunette stepped back and looked at the ground. Maybe Eris needed some time to calm down. Eri would be glad to give it to her if it meant not getting punched in the face. If Eris wanted to believe Eri did all of this on purpose, she doesn't see a way to change the red-head's mind. '
Eri looks down at the ground, not wanting t o look the girl in the eyes. She was very intimidating for a short girl. Maybe they would never see eye to eye and that was okay for now.
