The boy was looking at the duo with an eager look on his face. When he noticed that Delilah had a chance to take off her blindfold, but only as she was doing so, Henry cast the Wind Jinx at Delilah. But ah, she was hit with the spell. A strong gust of wind seemed to blow her hair back, making the hair fly all over the place.

Cody... laughed. He had to admit that! The others could choose to hear that, but then again, they could just be too invested in their duel.

Clair was next to cast it seemed, and she cast Wingardium Leviosa at Lea, but... Lea somehow evaded something that Cody so badly wanted to see. Even if Lea was a hufflepuff, Cody wanted to see someone float midair. Oh well, maybe it'd happen eventually.

Next up, Lea got her revenge. A slight cackle was a sound bellowed by Cody. Even as he attempted to muffle himself, by keeping his mouth shut, it could still be heard.

Lea cast Incendio Duo at Clair, and it hit her. He noticed a flame pop up on her shoulder. Maybe Cody felt sorry for her, maybe he didn't. After all, she was the only first year besides Cody, in that room. But she was actually dueling.

He stood by, ready for the next spells to be flung, should any be cast.

"Thank you." She'd nod at the compliment, pleased with how her spell had been able to hit the fifth year. And with that, the hufflepuff would focus on her next spell and making sure to dodge any that came her way.

It seemed as though Clair and herself had gotten the similar idea to focus on one another. Only one was more damage while the other debuffing. The levitation charm worked, but Lea was able to side slide out of the way. Being stuck in the air was really not something Lea was interested in at the moment. And with that, she'd cast her own spell- "Incendio Duo!"

Clair had managed to stay out of the way of some of the hit, but the fire still hit- if only partially. A small success- hopefully the ravenclaw didn't feel too bad about it? Brown eyes glancing over to where Henry's spell had been aimed, she saw that he had had some success as well. Nice. "Yours was more so the brilliant shot." The second part confused the girl a bit- deciding to simply nod in response. They had always had a chance, right? And it was so soon- who knew where this would go.

[font=times new roman]Just as she pulled the blindfold off from her eyes she got hit with the wind spell, "Nice hit." She felt a bit disoriented, her vision a bit blurry from the blast of wind.

She heard Henry talking to her and she grinned. "Aye, of course, no worries mate." She nodded. Del was a nickname she had had for a couple years, she thought it was..Serena? Possibly? who had given her it, back in first year, but she wasn't sure. Most people seemed to have a nickname of some description here, she was cool with being called anything as long as she knew you were referring to her.

Duelling was exciting, it was actual exercise she wouldn't normally do, physical and mental. Figuring out on the spot what she had to do, rocking on the balls of her feet, ready to avoid anything she could. Of course she couldn't dodge everything, but she would certainly try. She was alright at dodging things. Generally mediocre. Mediocre was better than bad though. She prided herself on actually being a decent duellist. She could finally feel the hard work she put in actually pulling off and successfully casting the spells that she had practiced over and over and over until her hand cramped up.

Compared to the same Cody he just was, jumping up and down, waiting for a very drastic outlook, This turn seemed to be it! Clair attempted to cast Mucus Ad Nausem, but yet, that Curse of the Bogies didn't seem to work. Perhaps she was targeting Henry? Or Lea?

The second spell was from Lea, and apparently her spell hit Delilah. The spell was the sister spell to it's little brother, Incendio. The spell was called Incendio Duo, from Cody's understanding. It hurled a menacing jet of fire at Delilah. Cody couldn't help but feel sorry for her.

At last, it was Delilah's turn. and she decided to cast Flipendo at her opponents, but while the second cast hit Lea, the first didn't. It was apparently meant to hit Henry, Cody understood, but instead it shot a spell in Clair's direction. But of course, it didn't hit her!

The fourth spell cast, was from Henry, and it was Petrifius Totalus, or the Full Body Bind Curse. He cast a rather nasty looking effect at Delilah, this spell knocked her down onto the ground.

"Gee, sorry Delilah, as much as I'd love to help you up, I must admit, that flipendo you cast scared me! A little suggestion to you all, don't aim towards me! Otherwise I'll pour my pompion potion into your dinner tonight!" Cody said, jokingly, but lightly smiled. And yet, he still looked a bit serious. He was now ready for the next round.

[font=times new roman] She watched as her flipendo flew around the room rather than hitting henry, but the one targeted for Lea hit right on its mark. Thank god for that. She watched as Clairs spell did nothing, but that was at least better than what happened next, within quick succession of each other, Delilah was set on fire and paralyzed.

As she fell to the ground with a thud, she heard Henry talking to her, she did want to answer, and would do..once she could talk again, it was quite frustrating being on the ground. She was already pretty tired, this duel was lasting a bit longer than she had expected, but it was going okay? ish? It was odd how they seemed to be losing while having the original upper hand of Delilah being the oldest. But hopefully once she could get out of this bloody bind, she could fix that. This was her least favourite spell effect, it had to be. It drove her insane lying on the ground wriggling, trying to get control of her body again. It's not even like she could feel anything physically restraining her, it was just a sort of mental blockage...but not mental at the same time? It was very pecular and very frustrating.

Her hit was far more effective this time, but it seemed to come with consequences.

It was the same spell, but instead of trying to hit Clair, the hufflepuff aimed towards Delilah. The wind Henry had cast last round was certainly helping in figuring out her aim as movement was limited for the Ravenclaw. So Lea wouldn't worry as much about the cast, instead trying to let the spell go as quickly as possible to get a moment of surprise. "Incendio Duo." And surprisingly- it seemed to work. And so did Henry's spell. This seemed to be working great.

Her success seemed to have temporarily fazed her. Or perhaps it was because the spell split unexpectedly. But whatever the case, the second year only noticed the spell arcing towards her until it was too late. Lea winced at the blow, a bit surprised at just how much it hurt. That was impressive. "Good hit."

"That I shall. Good hit to you, as well." She'd nod to Henry, before glancing over at the youngest on the piste. It seemed nothing had happened despite some muttering that the hufflepuff couldn't comprehend. No matter- "Next time," she'd call out, hoping it offered a little encouragement. And with that, she'd prepare herself for the next round.
