edit: that might be a pulled tendon or ligament? If it swells up, or you are unable to walk on it- then you know it's fractured or sprained.

If your ankle was sprained, you would see swelling, and you wouldn't be able to rotate it or walk on it without major pain.

It hurt A LOT when I rotated it which led to my question
and I'm wearing high top converse atm, I cant really seeeeeee my ankle

im doing a course in medicine at the moment, and for my training i do first aid support- I see many of these incidents, specifically from sports and sometimes the swelling is awful 😓

I would definitely suggest getting it checked out at a doctor's office. In the meantime, see if the school nurse can provide you with ice to reduce the swelling. I would ask if they can also provide you with crutches if that is allowed or possible. Just do your best to stay off of that ankle.

I was in the medical academy at my old school for 2 years, but I'm pretty sure I was overreacting so I asked here
