The day before the current, Aurelia had woken up on a bed in the hospital wing with her knee wrapped with white bandages. Her dear friend Makena sat beside her. She was still wondering how it happened to be. Makena couldn’t have dragged her all the way from the forest to Hogwarts, at least she didn’t look like she could. Kaegen was no where to be found. The brunette had heard that he fleed once she passed out from lossing too much blood due to the injury. She swore that she would find him and end him. Aurelia warned him previously an told him what she would to if he were to leave them again. The selfish boy did anyways and Aurelia was about to teach him a lesson.

After the classes ended, Aurelia immediately changed out of her heavy robes into something that wouldn’t restrict her movements. She stormed out to the grounds. She suspected the care of magical creatures assistant should be some where in the stables cleaning hippogriff dung or something similar.

It was dusk and the sun was lowering itself into the horizon. The skies darken. It was an advantage for Aurelia as she would be less noticeable in the dark. It was quite a long trekk to the stables. From a distance, she saw a boy sitting on a patch of grass, with a brown object in his hand. She crept closer careful not to step on any dried twigs that going direct his attention to her.

As she got nearer, she remembered that the crazy boy was in possession of a sling shot and a knife. She dug in her pocket and felt for the cold piece of metal. During breakfast, she had slipped a butter knife into her pocket, it was blunt but could hurt if enough force was used.

Then when she was close enough she sprinted towards him and pounced on him with her blunt knife in her hand. She was going to take his eye out, or maybe even possibly both.
“Give me a reason why I shouldn’t take your eye out now?” She roared into his ear, the side of her knife pressing against his cheekbone. Her other hand pinning him down. Her blood was pumped with rage. How could he have let poor Makena carry her limp body all the way up to the hospital wing?

He could see the girl walking towards him. It was an open field, and his eyes never stayed still anyway. She was doing an alright job of being quiet, although he wasn't entirely sure why she had picked just now to start trying to not be so choppy. What threw him for a loop was her charge. He hadn't really payed her much mind until that point, not thinking too much of it. Even when she first started her mad dash he could have done something, could have shifted to face her, shifted to a better position or a myriad of other things. But he didn't, didn't use the precious few second he had because he hadn't done anything wrong. She had no reason to attack him so why would she try? He remembered Adam and the lesson he had learned back then as she tackled him and held a dull butter knife to his cheek bone, screaming in his ear something about telling her why she shouldn't take out his eye. He would have been a whole lot more worried if the girl was a threat with that thing. As it was, he had been whittling and holding a knife. A knife she had tried to jump on. The way they were situated, he could easily kill her, but the worst she could to to him was take an eye, assuming she could focus through the pain of being stabbed in the stomach and actually hurt him, which he didn't think was very likely. His voice was calm as ever, smooth and quiet and far away.
"Are you... being serious?"
It was almost as if she had never hunted before, never been hunted. Never tried to kill something. Or at least she had never been taught, because what she was doing was just disgraceful.
"Do you want help?"
It felt kind of stupid to offer to help her beat him up, but he didn't know what else to do. It didn't feel right to stab the girl, it would be too easy and just kind of sad. He lay there underneath her and waited for her to do something, finding the pressure of her body pinning him down oddly comforting. The same kind of pressure you got from a hug. She was actually pretty nice, all things considered.

The knife on his cheek didn’t frighten him at all. She wondered how, Aurelia had never sneak attacked before so this was her first. Perhaps she should have thought through before charging in an open field in plain sight. She didn’t even flinch when she yelled at him, threatening to stab his eye.
Are you... being serious?
He asked. She huffed agitatedly, didn’t he know what he did?
“Of course I am, Klootzak!” She yelled. She the blunt knife still pressing against his cheek. Aurelia was about to ask her the same question when she spot a the glimmer of a knife in his hand. She really should have thought it through before pouncing at him. Is she was stabbed, it wouldn’t be long before the others knew she was missing. Kaegen would be sent to Azkaban when they found out she was the culprit. But on the other hand, she would be dead. She still planned on doing greater things in life.

It bothered her further when he asked,
Do you want help?
her cheeks heated up and her lips pressed into a thin line when she realised she looked awfully stupid. She should have been a little more patient when taking Kaegen down and wait till he was in a vulnerable position.

“And how do you suppose I take your eye out?” She asked.

I told you I would be coming for you if you ran away. You still did anyways.” She said. Her blunt knife pointing at him. This obviously wasn’t going too well for her. She was in an awkward position and her could drive the sharp metal into her stomach at any moment.

Well, Kaegen wasn't entirely sure what to do about this. The girl said that she was being serious about threatening him. Which meant that she was probably mad. He didn't know what she was mad about, not really anyway. Maybe she just was mad in general and was going on a murdering spree? Or maybe just an eye-stabbing spree? It wasn't exactly the most conventional of ways to blow off steam, he preferred whittling himself, but to each their own. Another thing that bugged him was that she kept calling him klootzak. It didn't bug her much, everyone was entitled to come up with their own names for things if they wanted. But his name carried authority that could be traced back to the conqueror of the 14th dark place. It was something to take at least a little bit seriously, wasn't it? It was something that bothered him, but not enough to do anything about it. The cold knife pressing against his cheek felt cold and weird at first, but it was warming up at an acceptable rate.
Her cheeks had more color seeping into them, her lips were pressed tightly together. And he had to admit that she did look more than a little funny. A very small smile tugged at the corners of his mouth. She reminded him of a baby kitten trying to kill it's first big rat, in a way. Although that did make him the rat.
"Well, if you could throw the knife from far away, or maybe just start with not trying to land on mine?"
She was either getting angrier or getting embarrassed. Red cheeks was something relatively easy for Kaegen to understand, as there where only two main reasons for it to happen in the first place. That or she was cold. But it wasn't very cold out so it more or less ruled out that one. Her next question was the strangest of all. She accused him of running away. What did he run away from, why did she care even if he did? Did she just have someone confused with him?
"Are you sure you aren't trying to gouge the eyes of of someone different? Someone a bit weaker?"

Her eyes rolled as he explained how she should have attacked him. She wasn’t that skilled in knife throwing. She had thrown a knife against a wall once at it only bounced of, however, it did hit the spot where she aimed at. A hint of a smile appeared on his face. When he told him how to properly ambush him. She clicked her tongue, clearly not amused but rather annoyed at the fact that she failed and could have possibly gotten stabbed.
"Are you sure you aren't trying to gouge the eyes of of someone different? Someone a bit weaker?"
He asked.

I was about to stab your eyeballs. You left Mekana to carry me all the way to Hogwarts. I didn’t even know how she managed but I heard you just walked away.” She said grunting. The position she was now in was uncomfortable and she stood up. He his eye should be bleeding by now if she had drove the blunt knife into his eye, but she obviously hesitated and didn’t have the guts to do it.

It then hit her that she wasn’t thinking at all, which girl would stab someone’s eye out just because someone left her to be dragged to the hospital wing. But then again, he left even when she threatened him. Aurelia had no idea what she was going to do now. Apologise? Definitely not. She could use some practice ambushing people and since Kaegen knew so much about how to be an assassin, he could teach her some moves.

Well, since you’re here, why don’t you teach me how to properly throw a knife.” She said.

Maybe at a target on a tree, for starters.” She turned to the nearest pine tree. She definitely didn’t want him to use it on her.

her eyes rolled, checking the surroundings.
She said that she was about to stab his eyes for leaving that other girl to carry her to hogwarts. She said that she had heard he had just walked away. What really confused him was why she was mad about any of that. Yes, he had left her alone and fainting in the forbidden forest, yes he had completely ignored both her and the other girl. It didn't matter, did it? He didn't owe the two of them anything and they didn't owe him anything. Why would she be mad that he left, there wasn't a reason for him to stay, was there? What did he not know about?
She then proposed that he teach her how to throw a knife. It was actually pretty ridiculous that someone wasn't able to throw one. It was something you practiced ever since you were young because it took forever to get right. And even then you had to retrain yourself for each range. You threw differently depending on how far away the target was, you calculated how many revolutions the knife was going to make and how far away you were. This girl was sweet, but not exactly the smartest. She had showed up to a classroom two years above her own, after all.
"Why would I teach you?"

It was a beautiful evening, and Lettie was taking it as an opportunity to get a nice jog in before going to bed early in preparation for classes the next day. She liked to go for a run quite often, since it was important for her to stay in tip-top shape for ballet. She could only imagine what her ballet instructor would say to her if she came back from Hogwarts weighing so much as an ounce more than she did when she left.

As she ran, Lettie marveled at how beautiful the light breeze felt against her face and rustled her long red ponytail. She wished that it would stay like this for forever, but she knew that their days of moderate weather were numbered. As she neared the stables, she noticed some figures in the distance. As she drew closer, it seemed as though they were having a bit of a heated discussion.

Being the incredibly nosy person she was, Lettie decided to pause her nightly run for the time being and go over to them to investigate instead.

"Why would I teach you?" she overheard a boy's voice say as she drew closer.

"Teach what?" Lettie interjected, flashing a mischievous grin. There was a boy and a girl whom Lettie recognized to both be from her year. Though she had seen them in class from time to time, she hadn't had the chance to formally meet them yet. Not wanting to pass up a networking opportunity, Lettie gave them a friendly wave and said, "Hello there! Sorry, I was just on a short jog and couldn't help but overhear," she continued to walk closer to them. "I don't believe we've had the chance to meet yet. My name is Colette Lancaster, but I would love it if you would just call me Lettie."

Just then, Lettie caught glimpse of something glittering in what was left of the sunlight. Her eyes shot open as she realized it was a knife. Lettie instinctively placed her hand on her wand, but didn't draw it out. "Er, is everything okay?" Maybe she had come just in time.

Why would I teach you?
The boy had asked. "You would teach me so I could stab your legs if you ever tried to run away again." She had deviously thought in her head. The boy was just to selfish to begin with, only caring about himself and never the people around him. Perhaps it was how he was taught when he was younger? But in what circumstance would a parent teach his or her child to be selfish? Aurelia's parents always thought her good morals, but the urge to stab someone was just psychotic. Maybe it was a defence mechanism developed for Makena? Aurelia had never experience how having a sibling felt like, and the other day, exploring with Makena, she seemed to have grown a protective bond for the girl. Was that how having a sister felt like?

Her mouth opened to give Kaegen a reason to why she should teach her how to throws knives when she saw a girl approaching them. She stopped in front of them.
Teach what?
The girl asked before introducing herself.
"Hello there! Sorry, I was just on a short jog and couldn't help but overhear," "I don't believe we've had the chance to meet yet. My name is Colette Lancaster, but I would love it if you would just call me Lettie."
"Hi there," Aurelia said with a smile. She pondered how she was supposed to get rid of the girl. She wasn't done with Kaegen yet. Lettie's gaze then fell upon both of their knives held in their grip. Kaegen's sharp blade and her blunt butter knife. Colette's eyes widened. "Verdomme! Verdomme!" The dutch words screamed in her head. She couldn't have the girl running back to Hogwarts an inform the teacher about what they were up to.
Er, is everything okay?
She asked, tensing.
"Yes, everything is okay." She reassured, putting on an innocent smile.

"Keagen, was about to show me his knife throwing skills," She explained and nudged the boy in his ribs.

He had been laying there on the ground, not having found a reason to get up just yet and thinking about knife throwing from different distances when a second girl walked over the little hill and looked down at them. She asked what he was going to teach, and he was going to tell her that he wasn't planning on teaching anything to anyone until he had a valid reason for it when she continued on, saying her name was colette lancaster, or lettie. He mentally marked her name down as 'letter' and then she asked if they were okay. Yeah, they were fine. She wasn't a serious enough threat to make him worry about that.
He was about to reply to that as well when the girl with the butter knife answered for him and said they were indeed fine. However, she then poked him in the ribs as she said that he was about to show his knife throwing. That didn't make any sense, he had just asked for a reason, when did he agree to that? Also, why did she poke him in the ribs, was it supposed to mean something? He contemplated the possibilities of rib poking as a form of communication, or a failed attempt to tickle but it didn't really seem to fit any of the possibilities. He would have to ask her about it later. But there wasn't any reason to not go along with it, showing that he could throw a knife wouldn't harm anyone. Stashing the knife he was holding somewhere in his robe, he pulled out a different one and grabbed the blade in between his pointer and middle finger, smoothly flicking his wrist and sending the sharp object spinning towards a decent sized branch laying down on the ground 4 yards from where he was. It did an acceptable job of stabbing in, and stayed buried in the wood.
"Am I done now?"

Lettie raised a questioning eyebrow at the girl, not entirely reassured that everything was okay. Why would she nudge the boy in the ribs as she said he was going to show her his knife-throwing skills? Something seemed amiss.

Choosing to skim over that for the time being, Lettie looked between the two with a puzzled expression on her face. "Why would you want to learn how to throw a knife?" she scoffed. "We're Wizards and Witches, we don't need to - " Lettie froze as the boy threw a knife straight into the tree. It looked like it was a nice and sturdy, and she had to admit that the sound it made when it hit the wood was extremely satisfying.

"Am I done now?" the boy said. Lettie gawked at him with her eyes narrowed. "What do you mean 'are you done'? That was bloody wicked!" However useless she thought the skill was when they could just use their wands instead, she couldn't deny that it looked like it was a ton of fun. She could already feel her competitive nature brewing up inside of her, feeling the need to learn and perfect the skill, no matter the cost. "You haven't taught us anything - you only demonstrated. C'mon, show us how to do it, proper." Lettie glanced over at the girl, hoping she would back her up.
