History/Background Story: Michelle’s family is reasonably well-off. Her father worked in the Ministry of Magic, and her mother stayed at home, taking care of her and her little brother, who was five years younger than Michelle. They had plenty of money, and life was pretty good.
Michelle didn’t really have any friends before Hogwarts. She was scared of talking to people. To be friends with Michelle, you needed a huge amount of patience, and most people don’t have that.
Michelle performed her first instance of magic when she was seven. She was jumping up and down on the bed with her little brother (she was more bubbly at home), when she suddenly tripped over a pillow and fell face first toward the floor. She closed her eyes, bracing for impact.
But it never came.
She opened her eyes, and there she was, hovering three inches above the ground.
