During Lunch time
School Robes=================== ===================
Rose was not having a great day. She had woken up late, and had rushed to class as fast as she could, arriving an absolute mess. Her shirt wasn't tucked in, her hair was a mess, and she was out of breath from running to class. Fortunately, she hadn't missed too much of class, so she was able to jump in and catch up relatively quickly. But she hadn't been able to eat breakfast, so she was starving. And when she was hungry, she started to get cold and her attention wavered. So she missed a very important concept in her Transfiguration class that morning, leaving her confused the rest of the morning.
While she had tried to eat lunch, an extremely annoying first year that she hated came up to her, thinking that she wanted to talk to him at that moment. (She didn't.) He proceeded to talk to her, thinking that her telling him to go away was just a friendly joke. Sometimes she didn't understand how professors put up with these little kids. They were just so infuriating. There were some first years, of course, that were really nice. But Rose hated to think that she may have used to be that obnoxious and never knew.
It was just one of those days that it seemed like the world was against you. And how were you to know that it wasn't? Maybe it was. Maybe the world just decided to hate you that day. Rose hadn't done anything to the world, had she?!
Rose had escaped from the first year- thank Merlin. She didn't think he would ever leave her alone. She headed to the library, intending to pick up a book that would maybe explain what she had missed in class, hoping to find some peace and quiet in the solitude of the library. The library always offered peace. As Rose approached the library, she remembered that she had a book she needed to return. She turned to her side and started digging in her bag, trying to find the book. Where was it? Was that it? Right as she spotted the book in her bag, she ran right into another person.
Neither of them had been watching where they were going, and they crashed into each other hard, causing Rose to stumble back and all the contents of her bag to spill out.
"What in Merlin's-" she started, her tone accusatory, looking up. Her gaze settled on none other than Autumn Ivy, and she froze. Autumn Ivy had been there when the cauldrons had blown up, many months ago. Rose wasn't sure where they stood, since that hadn't exactly been a positive encounter. Autumn may have even blown up the cauldrons herself, though she wasn't anywhere near the top of the suspect list Rose had.
She hesitated, waiting for the Hufflepuff's response.
