The Gryffindors weren't here to play around, and they started to prove it right off the bat. Although Hanako had foreseen their intent to target him and decided to focus on evading rather than casting, this did not save him: Everly's disarming spell tugged the wand from his hand, the stick flying off to the side of the stage. At the same time, Lamik let loose a truly impressive wind jinx with the power of a small tornado. It hit Hanako despite the Slytherin's attempt to dodge, and also split off to target Ileen too with almost uncanny precision. With the storm coming her way, it was no surprise that the disarming spell Ileen had meant for Everly was easily side-stepped by the young lion. At least the smoke cleared, granting the Vipers normal visibility, while the thundercloud still grumbled at the Gryffindors.

"How about a deal? You surrender, and I'll let you stare all you want.”

“Good idea!”, his partner said. “You can stare at him and meet me in your nightmares then!”

Hanako let out a short dramatic gasp, followed by a slight laugh. “ Gosh yea no surrender, no Ileen in my dreams. Fair trade~”. He wanted to joke about it more with her, but reminded himself she was a best friend stealer and decided against it.

After Ileen, he turned back to the blonde Gryffindor.“ You suggest surrendering?” Hanako laughed, clearly amused at his retort. “ But what will happen to our ‘enemies to lovers’ arc? Surely, you have better ideas than me surrendering to start our love story, do you? Ask your other lion friend. Perhaps she has a better idea as to how it could go, don’t you~?” He playfully asked the other lion, whose name he still wasn't sure of.

One of them was Lamik and another was Everly. Well hm, eenie meanie miney mo. LamlamEverly is the fog caster, and Evie Lamikwas Hana’s enemy and soon-to-be lover. It’s settled!

He was well aware of the charm he had on others. Surely, they couldn't keep their eyes off me’, he throat. And he was correct. Just as the next duel began, it started off with bangs. Multiple ones. Of course, he was far more popular than Ileen, therefore received not 1, but 2 spells. As he should, obviously. They saw him as a better threat. Though he wanted to scream in pain, he was also flattered.

But, Expeliarmus was a horrifying spell. Hanako, like most duelists, were emotionally attached to their wand. Horned serpent horn core and cherry wood. He couldn't think of a better wand than his that fits him so. As far as he was concerned, it was the first time he was hit with such a spell. The uneasy sudden cold sensation he felt on his empty hand might have been a big reason he lost focus.

Boom boom. Or, should he say whoosh whoosh?

The immense pain he felt from that single whoosh was enough to keep him silent for a few moments, processing the two events that were emotionally turbulent enough that he wanted to sit down and think. Omg what, think?

His clothes were on fire, his injuries clearer than before, the wind was blowing in his hair (not attractively, that he can tell ). And he wanted to sit down to think?

When did this start? From his last duel where they both won? He wasn’t in the best shape, it was a great time to pass out. In fact, he had thought about doing it multiple times in his last duel. Easy to give up, that was him. Which was why it baffled him why he was feeling the exact opposite right now. The last thing he wanted to do was faint, as much of a nice idea it is. Instead of that, he was thinking that he’d love love loooooovveee to return the favour x5. An idea so lovely to imagine that Ileen was the only one close enough to hear his chuckles.

“ Eager to take our enemies to lovers' story really seriously, huh?” Though he was not in the most attractive state with wind everywhere, he- as expected- couldn’t keep his mouth shut. While his eyes narrowed at the two Gryffindors, he still looked amused. “ You two are doing a wonderful job~. Don’t stop now, cuties. I love all the attention I’m getting~” if the wind wasn’t blowing so hard on his face, he would’ve given them a charming wink.

If they’re really serious about this enemies-to-lovers thing, they truly were doing an amazing job at pissing Hana off. But like the popular trope, there was a certain gleam or spark that came with the itching thirst to incendio duo them. Hana’s type tended to be evaders, after all. Although their evasive skills were a big reason why he and Ileen weren’t doing so well at the moment, he had to be honest and admit they were at least 5% hotter than the last round.

But was he going to reveal that? Ehe, no. But what he will do is act cute and wandless, hoping his adorableness would be enough to distract them. It was hard to do cute poses with all this wind, so his face will have to do.

It was not going as expected. Apparently that Lamik boy meant bad luck for Ileen. Sure, the smok had not been helpful either, but she had managed that kind of annoyance in a different duel quite well. Now, she sent off her own spell, not knowing of it even did hit. She could for sure tell that the spell of the opponent team hit though. The wind jinx, powerful and strong, caught her off guard. Darn it. It was not looking too great for them after all. Time for them to turn this around. The young girl clenched her hands to fists, fighting the wind and planning her next move.

The duel kept going on, and with it the spells continued flying across the platform. Ileen had set her eyes on Everly, and her wind jinx quickly flew towards her direction, almost hitting her; unfortunately, the Gryffindor girl was just too quick, and managed to avoid the jinx. At the same time, a second gust of wind flew towards Lamik, but he also managed to easily avoid it. Everly in the meantime tried to cast her Incendio Duo towards the Slytherin girl, but her concentration was not enough, and the spell simply died without leaving her wand.

While Hanako was picking up his wand after he had found it laying on the floor, Lamik was set on targeting the Slytherin boy. For this reason, his Incendio Duo flew towards Hanako that could do nothing else to avoid it; his robes immediately caught fire, even though the flame was not that big; the damage was still there, but luckily he wouldn't stay aflame for too long.

The stormy cloud was still on the field, but it spared the Gryffindor its lightning, as they continued to stay safe.

Good news! His wand is back. Bad news, Lamy [Everly] and Evie [ Lamik ] weren’t the only ones getting hotter in this round. Good news, again! Hanako was too much in physical pain to say more, no longer in the mood for playful banter with the lions. Shame, oh for shame. He too would regret it if he wakes up in a hospital bed. But that’s just how it is.

When you’re on fire, you simply don't feel like flirting anymore. He did- however- manage to see his favorite lions once more. Memorizing was not Hana’s specialty, therefore he needed to reeeeealllllyyy remember their faces after this duel ended. Hana could appreciate their looks, but Hana also could hold a mean grudge.

These weren't chess combats anymore. It actually mattered if he lost or not. And things were not looking good on his side. Damn attractively good-looking slippery people, quick on their feet and doing it so elegantly. Sickening!

Despite the pain, he’d still try to stand with whatever focus he could muster while his clothes started to burn his skin. He tried not to frown, though. Ileen was right next to him, he didn’t need her to think he was pathetic as a partner. Unable to dodge any spells coming at him. Heck, he didn’t even glance at Ileen, who was pretty much in better shape than he was.

Erughhh embarrassment was such a weird emotion, how did people deal with this? As of right now, he’s dealing with it by keeping a straight face despite the burning. Not an easy feat, very painful, very close to crying. But very distracting.

Finally the smoke lifted. From the corner of her eye she noticed her partner who had just grabbed his wand was hit by another incendio. The odds were really not with them this time. Her forehead was wrinkled in sympathy as the memory of the biting pain rushed through her body. Poor Hanako.
The healer in her wanted to put out the fire or to heal him, but they had discussed that scenario and she couldn’t allow the situation without smoke to pass by. Clear vision, focus.
Her dark brown eyes were set on Everly who had tried to cast something at Ileen but failed. Well, that was a first. She wouldn’t make the mistake and underestimate her opponents.
Her fingers tightened around her chestnut wand and with a quick flick she released a powerful ventus. And even more than that. As to show the lions that she was capable of more, her wind jinx also splitted and targeted both of them.
Her aim was decent. But faith was not with her. Nimble and quick as they were, both of them managed to escape her spell. Darn. She hadn’t hit once in this duel. What was wrong with her?!
