Delphinia was way too excited to even think straight. She decided that her plain clothes were not enough; and that she didn't look good enough. She did, of course, take into consideration that this was only studying, and that her new friend would not judge her based on her clothing or how beautiful she was... And she immediately ignored these considerations. So, here she was, in her dorm, rushing around with the few makeup brushes she had, classmates' makeup that she borrowed, and about 1,000 different outfits that she was conflicted between wearing. "It's only studying!" That was a tiny voice in her head. Every time Delphinia heard this voice, she brushed it away. It didn't matter, after all; It was wrong! This wasn't just studying, this was the start of her reputation at Hogwarts! Then she stopped for a moment. She listened to the voice in her head for a moment, telling her everything would be okay as long as she was true to herself. She sighed. After a bit of debating in her head and groaning dorm mates telling her to stop rushing around for a long time, she started off to the Prep Room in a white knit sweater and faded blue jeans, her hair in a braid, with minimal makeup on.

Lillian was currently in her dorm room, considering what she would bring and what she would wear to her study meeting with Delphinia. After some though, she had decided to take off her Ravenclaw robe for the meeting, so she was just in a white button up shirt which was tucked into a black skirt, a blue tie (Lillian absolutely loved wearing ties and suits, but she also loved to wear dresses and skirts.), and black flats. Lillian did a small spin in her full body mirror, and decided that she looked good. Lillian wasn’t wearing any makeup, she didn’t like to put all of that powdery fake stuff on her face, but she had taken her hair out of its ponytail, brushed it, and put it back up. She hoped this made a difference in her appearance, even if it was a small one. Lillian had put all of her regular schoolbooks and homework in her backpack, and she was considering going to the Library to grab some extra schoolbooks. After pondering this for a few more minutes, she told herself that she didn’t want to overwhelm Delphinia. With that thought, she nodded to herself, and set off for the Prep Room. When Lillian arrived, she sat down at a table to wait for Delphinia.

Delphinia definitely didn't want to look like she did too much; Everything she had done was just what she had seen fit, and after she had finished going through the maze that was Hogwarts, she entered the room to see Lillian, smiled, and waved. She then ran over to the table where her new friend was sitting. "Hi, Lily! Oh, sorry, um, can I call you Lily? I just think it's super cute and fitting to you!" She offered a bit of a sheepish grin. "Oh, by the way, I brought some ingredients from the potion I was having trouble with, the book, and some of my vials- Um, and I also brought a few extra books. Also, your outfit looks really nice! I like your tie, it's super cute!" Delphinia realized she was droning on and on and she quickly snapped herself out of it. "Um, anyway, though, what would you like to start with?" She sat next to Lillian at the table and put her bag simply on the floor, carefully taking out her book, her ingredients, and her vials. "I was thinking what we did in Potions? I think it was kind of difficult, and um, maybe something we're both not good at could be good though, we could both help each other, and- Damn it, Delphinia, you're droning on and on again and- Did I say that aloud? I'm sorry!" She looked down, ashamed and embarrassed.

Lillian watched as Delphinia walked into the room and smiled widely. “Hey Delphinia!” When Delphinia questioned her about a nickname, Lillian responded, “Of course you can call me Lily! Oh! I have a nickname idea for you too! How about Delphi? Like the Oracle of Delphi! You know? Pythia? Ancient Greece?” Lillian blushed a little as she remembered that not everyone was interested in hearing her ramble about ancient oracles. “I’ll stop talking now.” Lillian voiced her decision aloud to Delphinia. Lillian then listened to Delphinia list her supplies. “Good thinking. Those will definitely be helpful.” Delphinia then complimented her tie, and Lillian blushed but smiled widely, “Thank you!” “We should definitely start with the potion you were having trouble with, we need to make sure you understand how to make it before we move on.” Lillian then listened with a small smile as Delphinia talked. When Delphinia apologized, Lillian quickly said, “You have nothing to be sorry about, you were giving very good ideas.” Lillian gave Delphinia a smile before changing the subject. “So, let’s get to work on that potion, shall we?” With that, she opened the book to the instructions, and started to pull out ingredients, telling Delphinia what each ingredient was and how it needed to be prepared. She then took out her cauldron and said, “Now, the only way you’re going to truly understand this, is if you do it. Don’t worry, I’ll be right here to walk you through the process and help you if you get stuck, but I want you to try and actually make the potion.” She gave Delphinia what she hoped was an encouraging smile, stepped back, and told Delphinia the first step.

OOC note: Lillian's blushing an awful lot... Could it be? A future romance? *dramatic gasp* Delphinia gasped audibly when Lillian began talking about the Oracle of Delphi. "No, I'm totally into that kind of stuff! And Delphi is actually a really cute nickname." Her smile faded a bit when she was told the first step, but then she gulped and did what Lillian had told her to. "Okay..." She muttered, noting that the potion started out as it was supposed to. "May I check the book quickly? I just want to make sure-" She sort of trailed off, not giving Lillian time to respond, but then checked the page in the book thoroughly and nodded. "Okay, okay, we're good." She brought out one of her vials and completed the next step. "Um, okay, and then I put this in, and mix this, and-..." Her face twisted in confusion, and she looked to Lillian. This was where she had messed up and gotten a face full of soot; She didn't want to look that stupid again. "Actually, no, I'm fine, I can finish it myself!" She took a deep breath in, put in what she thought was the next ingredient, and... A flower sprouted from the cauldron. She let out a defeated sigh. "This is always where I mess up. Sorry if I'm being a bit difficult."

OOC note: Lillian is pansexual so definitely a possibility.
Lillian watched closely as Delphinia put in ingredients. She was doing really good so far, and she was checking the instructions regularly, which showed she was really trying not to mess up. Everything went smoothly for the next few steps, and then Delphinia turned around to face Lillian with a confused look on her face. Lillian opened her mouth to ask if Delphinia needed help, but Delphinia insisted that she was fine. Lillian nodded and too late, noticed Delphinia grab the wrong ingredient, “Wait-” Lillian started to say, but she was too late. All of a sudden, a flower sprouted from the cauldron. They both started at it in silence for a moment. Then Delphinia started to apologize and Lillian was quick to interject, “It’s absolutely fine, we learn from mistakes. We’ll try it again and I’ll make sure to go other this part with you.” Lillian then tried to make the mood a little bit lighter by saying, “At least it didn’t blow up this time, it only made a flower. And it’s quite a pretty flower too.” It really was, it seemed to be a daisy. Lillian broke half of the stem off from the rest of the stem and tucked it behind Delphinia’s hair. “There,” Lillian said, with a light blush and a smile on her face, “you look even more beautiful now.” She then cleared her throat and started to clean out the potion, after she was finished, she said, “Ok, you did fine up to that part, so I think you can do the beginning by yourself again, and then we’ll go over the catastrophe part.” She said the last part in a joking tone, and then stepped back to give Delphinia some space to work.

Ooh, so is Delphinia! We shall see, then!
"Catastrophe?!" She gasped, going along with the joke and elbowing Lily softly. "How very rude of you!" She giggled. "Ok! So, you put in this much of this, and mix these two in this vial..." She continued with the potion, looking to Lily for help about three times in all. That was pretty good, she thought, for how she had originally been doing in Potions. She then got to the final part of the potion, the part she had trouble with. After pursing her lips and re-reading the page about 1,000 times, she put in something and... The potion turned purple and bubbled, just as it was supposed to! She laughed and scratched the back of her neck, shocked. "Yes!!" She yelled, pumping her fist in the air and spinning around to hug Lily. "Isn't that so awesome?! I finally got it! Woo-hoo!" She laughed. She then realized she was acting totally crazy, and stopped, sitting down and clearing her throat. "Anyways, uh, maybe I should like, put it in a jar or something. You know, to see what it looks like next time." She knew her suggestion was silly, but she only said it to avoid awkward conversation. She got a jar out of her bag and put the potion in it, avoiding eye contact with Lily.

We shall!

Lillian watched as Delphinia read and re-read the instructions for the final part of the potion. Lillian watched as Delphinia choose the right ingredient and the potion turned purple and started to bubble, exactly what it was supposed to do! A wide grin split across Lillian face as Delphinia started to get all excited. Then Delphi turned around and hugged Lillian, and Lillian hugged her back tightly. Lillian then watched as Delphinia sat down and seemed to lose all of her excitement. Lillian was confused, what was wrong, did Lillian do something? Delphinia then said she would put the potion in a jar, and did so, and Lillian noticed it was like Delphi was purposely keeping her gaze away from Lillian. “You know I’m extremely proud of you, right Delphi?” Lillian said softly, leaning down and tilting her head so that Delphinia had no choice to look in her eyes. “You did an amazing job, and you got the last part you were struggling with by yourself, and I am so very proud of you.” Lillian said the last part of her sentence with emphasis, and with only a second of consideration, Lillian threw her arms around Delphinia and pulled her into a hug. She help Delphi their for a few seconds before letting her go and stepping back. Lillian smiled at Delphi and asked, “So, anything else you want to practice?”

She turned pink and burst into a fit of nervous giggles. "Um, well, um, what are some things you're struggling with? I mean, you helped me with Potions and eh, maybe I can, like, do something to, like, help you and-" She was about to say Like again, but she decided against it. "Well, I'm good at Defense against the Dark Arts!" She got out her book and started musing about everything that she liked about the class. "And like, my dad told me about it a bit, and I hope we learn about it, but like there was like, a bunch of evil wizards in history, like that people were super super scared of, but there's no reason to be anymore because that was in like, the 1800s." She offered a sheepish grin. "Anyways, enough about that. What are you struggling with?" She had politely asked once more, but anyone with half a mind could see that her mind was still on that class. As she began to put away her book, she blandly muttered, "And Charms. But that's something entirely different." She stood up again. "Like I asked..."
"What are you struggling with?"
