The new Hogwarts golden trio
I was sitting in front of the Great Lake, throwing pebbles, trying to make ricochets. Three days had now passed since the start of the school year in 2021, and I was not one of those who revised without giving themselves time to breathe between two classes, nor was I one of those who let books invade their lives, I preferred to throw small rocks into the pool of water, whose surface was slightly lapped by the breeze. I looked at the water with a blank stare. Apart from the Hogwarts Express, I hadn't met anyone, only my brothers, but they already had their friends and I didn't want to disturb them. My only companion was James's cat, and even then, only when he wanted me to approach him, the animal was not very nice. I threw another pebble, listening to the sound it made as it crashed into the water, and closed my eyes, concentrating on the breeze that rustled my hair, and the cold wind that blew through the branches and leaves of the trees.
I was alone.
I didn't go to the others, I waited for the others to come to me, because I had never done it before, I wasn't used to it.

The new Hogwarts golden trio
I didn't get used to Hogwarts very fast, after all, it was pretty big and it was pretty easy to get lost without knowing the way, and whilst I did memorize parts of the castle, I still depended on others to help me get from point a to point b if I forgot the way there myself. But one thing that was pretty easy to find after the first time you saw it was the Great Lake. It was pretty big and was easily seen from great distance, and I liked to go there during my first few days here until I memorized a decent chunk of the castle. It was on one of these days, whilst I was at the Great Lake during my free time, that I found a boy throwing pebbles into the lake so I sat down about a foot away from him, and asked “You bored? Because throwing pebbles sounds like something I'd be doing if I was bored, and I kinda am so do you mind if I join?” I didn't talk as much as I usually did since I wasn't exactly in my usual talkative mood right now and that was thanks to the fact that I had to deal with such a big change in such a short time, the big change being Hogwarts and seeing magic in places I would never expect to see it, but also how hard it was to navigate the castle itself although I was feeling much better about the whole thing then how I was feeling on my first day of classes so I expected to be my back to my usual self in a few more days. I then picked up a few pebbles and started throwing into the lake one by one, waiting for the boy to reply, if he would ever do so.Dave - #fff79e
