Rosie sprinted down the grass, her eyes following the water as she ran past. She had thrown off her shoes and robe, leaving herself in her uniform and bare feet, which every now and then she'd dip into the water. After a while, she was actually really tired, so she plopped down onto the grass and stuck her feet into the cold water, humming. She almost got war flashbacks to when the squid nipped at her friend's finger. Hopefully the squid wouldn't be coming back, her feet WERE innocently resting in the water. The young girl slid back onto her elbows and looked up at the sky, her mind wandering.

The ball was coming.

That's all Rosie was thinking about. She had taken dancing lessons with the professors earlier that week, everyone was there. Her friends, her enemies, and her potential "date" to the ball. But how do you go about asking something like that to someone? It freaked Rosie out a little bit, sure asking something wasn't hard but it was easier said then done. Rosie covered her face and let out an annoyed groan. In truth, the only reason she was distracting herself at the lake was that she could ask sooner than later. There wasn't a big deal, people could've considered it romance but most of the 11 year olds at Hogwarts didn't really acknowledge that. But what if they did? What if they thought Rosie was trying to get with someone?

That someone being probably very obvious.

With a sigh, she lowered her hands from her face and stared up at the sky above her.

Arceus ran outside, wanting to get away from all the commotion from within the castle when he noticed a girl standing in the shallow part of the Great Lake, her robes and shoes on the soft grass nearby, normally when he came out here for some peace he was alone but this time some company wouldn't hurt, he walked on over when he noticed the familiar yellow crest on her uniform, so she was another Hufflepuff, he didn't recognize her, well surprisingly he didn't know a lot of people even though he's Prefect and I guess he's suppost to know his house mates.

He was a few metres away when he called out "Hey, what are you doing out here?"with a friendly smile. He walked on over noticing she looked a little sad, looking up at the sky and sat down next to her, if she was feeling sad he knew he would try to help her in any way possible, It's a prefects job to try to make everyone else's life great here at Hogwarts isn't it he thought to himself, but even though there was a lot on his mind his life was great here at Hogwarts.

"What's wrong?" he asked with a concerning voice, "Can I help?" he asked with the same voice before realising he hadn't even introduced himself, "I'm Arceus by the way, Arceus Powers" he said giving her a genuine smile.

Have a nice day and peace out..

Amadea decided to walk out to the Great Lake on her daily walk. Usually she kept closer to the castle during her walks since heading out to the Great Lake always ended badly for Amadea, but she decided to test her luck and walk to the lake anyway. She would just make sure no one could startle her and accidentally push her into the water like Cecily did. That was a mistake that she would not make a second time; she would admire the lake from afar. It was a beautiful day out that she couldn't resist. She didn't have much homework to do and she didn't have any classes either, so she had enough free time.

Amadea always managed to run into people on her daily walks even though she didn't necessarily want to. Today, it turned out to be two Hufflepuffs. She recognized both of them, though she didn't know if they knew her. The first was Rosie Parker, her teammate from the pillow fort contest. And the second was the prefect, Arceus Powers.

As she walked closer, she saw the two were talking. Rosie had her head in her hands and let out a loud groan. She looked quite frustrated. Arceus, concerned, asked Rosie what was wrong. Amadea wondered if she had made a mistake coming out here. It seemed as though they were in their own world and shouldn't be bothered. Unfortunately, she was already close enough to them that they couldn't not notice her.

"Is everything okay?" she asked hesitantly.

Frost was just continuing to explore Hogwarts all that she could when she spots three people by the Great Lake.

Still being very new to Hogwarts, she was determined to meet new people. She knew very well that she thrived best when she was with people. She hoped that her hyper and mischievous personality wouldn't scare them off. She knew that lots of people were introverts.

Walking closer to the three figures, she could tell that they were all in Hufflepuff, just like her. Two of them were girls and the other one was a boy.

Her smile fades into a straight line as she sees what's happening, everyone seemed distressed. Maybe it would be best if she just left.  No. She remembers Mother's words, how she said that Frost had been born with the gift of putting people in a better mood. Maybe she could help?

Besides, it was a beautiful day today and maybe she could make some friends from this.

"Is everything alright here? I saw you guys from up there and wanted to know if everything was okay."

She really hoped she wasn't prying or seeming rude. She really just wanted to help. She is trying to earn a good title to her name.

Rosie jumped when three fellow Hufflepuffs arrived at the lake, and right next to her. She laughed nervously and sat off, hitting some grass off from on her head. Did she look sad?? She didn't think she did. All she was doing was looking up at the sky. She rubbed her face and looked up at the incoming kids, waving her hand to dismiss their worries. "Nah! Don't worry about it, just thinking about the Ball." She explained, her face going a little red.

In truth, she was thinking about how to go about asking someone to the Ball. Did she need to go up initially and say it face to face? That sounded very confrontational and spooky. Owling always worked! And it seemed to be the better option, but what would Rosie say in it? Knowing him, she probably had to be proper. And 12 year old? Being proper? Please. Sounded hard for her. Maybe she could manage, after all, the kid was her best friend, and who could talk to him better than her? At least, that's what Rosie liked to hope, anyway. They were close as it was. Awkwardly, she gazed at the new people who had approached her, hoping she didn't worry them too much.

"Oh, well that's good to hear. I try my best to help people cheer up."

Frost smiles and stands next to the girl. She twist part of her robes in her fingertips.

She seems nice enough, I've only just met her.

"Welp. I didn't even know there was a ball! So I guess you're ahead of me on that one."

Was she making her uncomfortable? Frost really hoped she wasn't.

"Whoever you get asked by or you ask to the ball is lucky. You seem like a nice girl! You're also very pretty."

Frost knew she wasn't one for balls. She can't even think of herself as proper. Whoever the girl talking to her was, she was lucky she could even be seen at a ball.

"I know I personally don't enjoy balls, nor am I a person for something as proper as balls." She said with a quiet chuckle.

"Anyway, I'm Frost Cira! I think I've seen you before, we're both in Hufflepuff." Frost holds out a hand for the girl to shake, seeing it as a more proper gesture.

Frost's smile grows wider as she holds her hand out and waits to find out her name.

Maybe we can be friends!

Arceus had just finished talking when he turned around and saw a girl asking if she was alright, he took a step back since he hadn't heard her coming over and then he heard another voice to his side and turned around to see yet another girl talking, Well this escalated quickly he thought to himself as he saw all these people when he swore it was just him and this other Hufflepuff girl he still didn't know the name of just a moment ago.

He listened as the previous girl and another girl who had introduced herself as Frost Cira, which he thought was a pretty cool sounding name talk to each other, he then learnt it was about the Ball which definitely wasn't on his list of expertise since he didn't have anyone to go with either and didn't even know who to ask, he had one girl lingering on their mind but they had just become friends so it would be strange asking her.

"Well, I don't know if I can help you then, I don't really know what to do myself so don't worry, I'm guessing at least half to school has the same problem"
he gave her a small reassuring smile to cheer her up "Well just know, If you do need help, that's what I'm here for!" he said while he pointed at his badge that read Prefect, he then plopped down onto the grass next to her and rested his head on his knee. "Just know I'll do anything I can to help" he then quickly looked over at the other two girls realising he hadn't even introduced himself, "Sorry, I haven't even said Hi! Well, my name is Arceus, Arceus Powers! I like your name, Frost it sounds cool!" he said giving the other two girls a smile.

Have a nice day and peace out..

Frost could see the blonde boy take a step back. She takes a look at him and spots the prefect's badge on his robes. He's a prefect! Cool! She had never met a prefect before!

He seemed a bit frightened at her presence.

Oops! Mother had reminded her that her sneakiness often frightens people.

I should apologize.
"Sorry, I haven't even said Hi! Well, my name is Arceus, Arceus Powers! I like your name, Frost it sounds cool!"
Wow! Arceus sounds like a nice boy. He even complimented her name! She and him shared the same opinions on balls.

"Thank you for the name compliment, Arceus! Nice to meet you by the way! I'm sorry if I startled you. Everyone always says I shouldn't be so sneaky."

Smiling, Frost twists part of her robes between her fingertips. She accepts her new habit of doing so.

Hmm. Maybe it was a good idea to come to the Great Lake. I mean, look at how many people she has met already! They all seem to be nice enough.

"I didn't even know that a ball was going to be hosted! Anyways, if you guys go, have fun. I'm not really one for balls. Proper is not a word used to describe me. Actually, quite the opposite."

Aaand she was rambling. Not a big problem, but not very polite.

"Sorry if I'm making you uncomfortable or anything."

She smiles and sits down next to the girl and Arceus. She hugs her knees to her chest and rests her head on them.
