A Great Lake Surprise
dancing with @Emily R. Brewer
Emily tried to encourage him to dance by swaying around by herself. If he wanted to be truthful, she probably could have used another dance lesson or two but then again, she was out there in the snow so how much dancing could one really do before ... falling.
And there it was. Simon stood up quickly and came to her side, grateful that she was laughing because at least that meant she was feeling better than if she wanted to cry. "Goodness, Emmy. Grace and poise, grace and poise!" he teased, as if she needed to be more graceful. He leaned down and brought his hand out for her to take.
He would help her up and make sure she was okay, taking a moment to watch her eyes closely to see if she was telling the truth or playing off that she really didn't need any help. "Maybe one can dance more easily in the snow with a partner," he said.
Simon wasn't sure why Emily had avoided him so much as of lately but at least she was there now and the two could finally make up for their dance. He brought his one hand to take hers in his own and the other he placed her her waist and he moved this way and then that way, and when he went to spin them around, he made sure that they had good balance. She fell once and was alright - he wasn't going to chance it again.
Be kind to one another. (*iNPC is Miles Thatcher)
