Edward Smith waved to the oncoming people, the odd feeling that made him feel like today was to be different from the others. He assumed it was because he finally got to go to Hogsmeade. His friend who attended Hogwarts claimed it was amazing but demanded that he tell no one that he got a fake permission slip to go into Hogsmeade.

A smile plastered on his face, his dirty blonde hair combed over, his cowboy hat remained slightly crooked on his head. His light green button up shirt tucked into his jeans, which may have been one size too tight. With a slight grimace in his plastered smile, he watched as the girls came to him and swooned over him. Edward was satisfied.

Boom! Something exploded. He tried to venture around and see what it was, but he only saw students dead. He counted the bodies. One, two.... seventeen. He recognized four dead quidditch players. Who will provide him the entertainment of watching people fly around on brooms and getting hit with Bludgers? He thought something was up, but he never got a chance to investigate as he was demanded to go back to Flourish and Blotts. He tremored. Books. Why did it have to be books?

Books are dangerous. They fill your head with nonsense that should not exist in the first place. With a wily shriek, he ran out of the Flourish and Blotts and reached the site of the explosion, Dervish and Banges. Edward should’ve known these students as he plays Quidditch amongst them. However, he was just fine with the broom he had and the equipment he needed. But what threw him off guard was that the equipment was blasted to bits.

Sobbing, Edward ran away from the site. Returning to his chaperone. He didn’t go to Summer Camp, but he intended on going to Hogwarts Summer Camp next year. Who knows, it might be fun. But for now, he has to clear his mind off of this tragedy they have faced. Seventeen students dead. Four of whom play Quidditch. This was an awful event. Who would dare to do this?
