It's Just A Dance
Verla giggled at Ve and looked at them both "I'm normally super shy, and I used to write my words on pieces of paper because my anxiety would get the best of me, I met Ve by the lake once with Bates, he's a good companion to have. Maybe someday Ve, you'll learn a spell to look through his eyes when he's flying sometimes. I think that'd be cool, I could look if you wanted." Verla normally didn't talk about herself, so she didn't know what else to say.
The one time she had to talk about herself was when she was talking to her friend Levi, though she didn't say much after that either. Though she hoped they would begin to understand her later on as they did events and what not. She was super glad that Levi did, and then they became best friends. Verla blushed when she thought of Levi, all the time, so everyone who talked to her thought she was probably really sick or she was super embarrassed or nervous about something.
Maybe later one that would get better and she wouldn't have to come up with an excuse, especially based on her anxiety or depression.

It's Just A Dance
Wesley sighed, walking with a hunched back and hunched shoulders, dragging his heels silently, to the Hogwarts Ballroom that had held many Yule Balls post-Triwzard Tournament over the years. The BlossomFest Ball was coming up and he was trying to well up the courage to ask his crush to the ball; but just as friends because he wasn't confident enough to confess his feelings. His older, Ravenclaw-Housed, Fifth-Former, brother, Ian, had somehow convinced him to head into the wondrous ballroom to practice dancing for the ball. He had bought a suit at a Dress Shop (it wasn't dresses, it was actually an all-male clothing store) over in Diagon Alley but didn't really think it should be very useful; maybe he could wear it to a relative's humble wedding, or his little sister's Christening that would occur over the Summer Holidays.
Wes made his way closer and closer towards the Ballroom's tall, wide and very rusty and dusty door, his frown getting larger by the rueful moment. He walked inside the dome-shaped, dreamy room, half expecting a group of students to be loitering in there, only to see three girls seemingly to be engaged in a conversation of some kind. He continued inside, landing on the ball of his foot to cancel out the horrifyingly loud and echoey taps that ought to have been yelling in the room, hoping to not be noticed. The room was so empty and spacious that he couldn't see how they shouldn't be able see him but he wished they somehow wouldn't.

Ve just sat there listing, she wasn't one to talk when she didn't really want to. Her eyes scanned the room until she noticed the boy walking around the room, her eyes nerowing. She got Bates attencien and motioning to the male. He nodded as he flew over and observied to male. You could say Ve wasn't really a big fan of boys, but she hid it. She made another whistle and Bates dove for him to freak him out. Once he got close enough he pulled up and flew landing on Ve's arm. She didn't make any movement twoards him, but keep him in her sight.
Bates climbed up her arm onto her shoulder. She grinned and walked up to him, "Sorry i'm just tryiing to have a little fun." she said as Bates squeked. She put out her hand out for him to shake. "I'm Ve, nice to meet you." she said. She watched as Bates jumped onto his shoulder and took soon of back into that air . Her eyes followed Bates until her eyes landed back onto the boy. She wondered what brought him to the ballroom, not a lot of people came here other then when an event was beinning held. "So what are you doing here?" she asked him. Bates landed on my shoulder and tilted his head.

Wesley turned to a girl that had approached him. She introduced herself as 'Ve' (a nice name, he thought) and held out her hand. Wes lifted his shaky, pale hand and joined it to Ve's, and gave her a polite hand shake. "𝑾𝒆𝒔𝒍𝒆𝒚 𝑯𝒂𝒓𝒕," he replied in a small yet triumphant voice. Ve proceeded to ask him what on Wizard's Earth was he doing, roaming about these parts. Wes looked down at his squeaky clean, shiny leather school shoes. He replied, looking back up, "𝑰'𝒎 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆." This time, his voice sounded much more confident than it had when introducing himself. "𝑴𝒚 𝒃𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 - 𝑰𝒂𝒏 - 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒅 𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒎𝒚𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇 𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒍𝒐𝒘 𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑩𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒔𝒐𝒎𝑭𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝑩𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒉 𝒊𝒔 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒖𝒑," he explained, still holding the knight-like, confident voice. Wes sadly looked back at his shoes and nodded, gulping quietly. He looked back up at Ve, "𝑻𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝑰 𝒎𝒂𝒚 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒂 𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒆 - 𝒐𝒓 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒏𝒆𝒓, 𝑰 𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒏 - 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆." This always sounded awkward when he brought it up around girls, as he worried he was asking them to attend the dance with him (which he wasn't). An orange sort-of-colour appeared along Wesley's nose.
"𝑰'𝒎 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒂𝒔𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒐𝒖𝒕, 𝒃𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒚! 𝑰'𝒎 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕... 𝒔𝒂𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒂𝒎, 𝒊𝒏 𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒕, 𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒆," Wes quickly - and frantically - explained.

It's Just A Dance
Verla glanced behind her shoulder and saw a boy who seemed like he wanted to be alone. She turned her whole body toward him, the other girls were too busy to notice, but she looked at him. And when he looked at her, she looked at someone else, at him, then the floor and turned around with her head down. She liked to talk to people who wanted to be alone, that was how she met her friend Levi.
She saw Ve walk up to them and they began to talk. Verla sat on a bench that faced toward them and she wiped her hair out of her face. She whistled to summon Bates, just to see if he would come. Surprisingly, he did, and she extended her arm for him. She pet his head as she had before, and lifted her arm for him to fly off and went back to Ve and the boy. She knew how to dance, so she still didn't know why she was in the ballroom after she'd lost those kids. She invited Lorelei to sit with her, and she watched as Ve and the boy communicated, when he looked at her, she smiled and waved kindly.

Lorelai went over to Verla who wasn't joining in on the others two talking. She decided to go along with her after the other girl gestured for her too. She had seen Wes around the Gryffindor common room before but they had never met. She saw Bates fly back to the others and she smiled as her eyes landed on the two. Goodness, it was getting crowded in there quickly. How odd is it that these many people would end up in the usually abandoned ballroom at the same time. This was proving to be a very interesting day for Lorelai.
As she sat next to Verla, a smile slowly crept onto her face. "Do you think that she's going to go to the dance with him? I think that would honestly be the cutest thing I've ever seen..."She whispered so only the girl next to her could hear. She had embarrassed Ve enough for one night to say it out loud. Lorelai pressed her knees to her chest, watching the scene unfold. Both of them were so awkward. Not that she was much better. She had never really known how to talk to boys and hadn't interacted with them very much at Hogwarts. She wasn't opposed to it however, it just didn't feel as natural.

It's Just A Dance
"Wait, theirs a dance coming up?" she said surprised for a second, but then shrugged her shoulders, "I most likely won't go then. Not to fond of dances, Too many people for me." she said. She thought about the last time she went to a dance. She was always near the food area. Don't forget that you are expected to have a date. She is not really good with people, so she norrmally went with Bates. Her mind in thought of dance, the thing she hated most about it is the fact that she has to dance. "So, who are going to ask out?" she said grinning. Her eyes matching her curiosity.
Bates came down and landed onto her shoulder. She looked at the bird on her shoulder, "This is Bates." she said scratching the birds head. His made a purring like sound as she gusted chuckled at Bates. Actually the last time she went to a dance was a few years ago, but that doesn't mean I want to go. She got lost in thought as she has an inturnal debate of weither or not she should actually go. Her mind continued to wonder around that thought process on the dance. Bates head butted her and took of making a laughing like sound. Ve just glared at the bird.

It's Just A Dance
Wesley nodded. “On the twenty fifth of this month - it’s the dance to... end BlossomFest, I think,” he replied straight after Ve had asked about the dance. She then seemed to proceed to follow up with a second question: who was it he wanted to ask out to the dance. Wes was silent for a moment. “Phaedra Stavrou; She’s a girl in Ravenclaw. I mean, we’re close but I like her,” he replied rather nervously. Ve seemed nice and all, but Wes had just met her, so who knows what she’d start up around school? Was she even the type of person to do something like that? Wesley’s real Wes now began peeling off the confident mask and coming out. “But please don’t tell her, Ve, I’ll do anything for you to not!” he exclaimed frightfully. He clapped a hand to his forehead. What have I done? Wes thought; he often got too caught up in his Confident Act and acted, sometimes, a little too confident, and that meant he could spill a deep secret (much like the one he just let out) or something a person might not want to hear.
A bird swooped down to land on Ve’s shoulder, and it looked at Wes. Ve introduced the bird as Bates and then seemed to doze off - into a deep trance.
