@Orion Lécuyer
She recognized his last name the moment it had been announced, but it hadn’t clicked until a little over a week ago why she recognized his last name. There were photos of a time long past when her mother was her age at the balls that her grandmother used to throw. He was there standing between her mother and her aunt while her father stood to her mother’s other side. It was the only photo she could find that included him, and it was a lifetime ago; after all, they had all been the age Santario was now, but it was a connection. An unfair one to the professor who would not be aware of the storm that was about to flow into his office by a girl that would bring back ghosts.
She stood outside off his office door, hesitating, her hand raised up in a fist, ready to knock. This wasn’t fair to him, and she knew it, but she needed to fall apart somewhere safe… because nowhere was safe anymore, and if she lost control, at least it was in front of a professor, right? She couldn’t do this with Percival. She couldn’t talk to him about these things because what if… A sharp pain of memories from a week ago ricocheted in her mind, and her eyes closed tight for a moment opening just as her knuckles rapped three times on his office door. “Professeur Lécuyer?” While the words sounded similar, it was clear that she was speaking in their mother tongue.
If he opened the door or bid her come in, Orion would see a girl who looked exactly like her mother, except for her father’s eyes staring up at him, but the vibrance that he would have come to know her with was not there. Sapphires did not sparkle and shine eager to learn from him; instead, they were dull and dead. The smile on her dry lips could not pass the mountains of her pale cheeks to bring them any light. “Might I, selfishly, steal a moment of your day?” If he was observant enough, she looked put together, but there were signs that she was not beyond her eyes. Her hair looked brushed to the casual observer, but it had only been touched on the surface. A jungle of knots lay underneath, and her fingernails were dirty as if she had just been rooting around in herbology class.

Within the privacy of his own office, Orion was lost within the page of a novel. What kind of novel? Definitely not the cheesy romantic kind that he would rather die than admit he enjoyed reading. Everyone had a guilty pleasure, and this was Orion's. The man loved a good romantic story, it was simply that romance had never been in the stars for him. So he got his fill by reading the kind of novels that bored housewives hoarded and shoved beneath off balanced tables.
The knock on his door startled him, and he quickly tossed the novel into one of his desk drawers. Hopefully if it were Mardi, he would not go digging around his desk. The novel was written in French, but the cover made the contents of the novel rather obvious. "One moment." He cleared his throat and stood up from his desk, walking over to the entrance of his office.
When the door swung open, a look of confusion crossed his features. Isabelle? No, that could not be. It was her daughter, a girl that Orion had seen attend his classes but had not had the opportunity to meet one-on-one. He wanted to, but he had decided to allow the girl to come to him instead. He knew what happened to her parents would be traumatizing for the girl, and he would rather not force the memory on her by approaching her and admitting he had known them. "Hello, Miss Martin." He greeted her in their native tongue. Offering the young girl a small smile to mask his concern. She seemed a bit worse of wear, there was definitely something on her mind. "Of course you may." He stepped back from the door, pulling it open wider to allow the young Slytherin to step inside. "I hope you like sweets; I've baked some fresh this morning." She looked like she could use a pick-up of sorts. He crossed the room to grab a tin container, inside was a display of macaroons in various colours, and he would set it upon his mahogany desk.

Professor Lécuyer had asked her for a moment in which she patiently waited for him outside of his door. The noise of a desk drawer sliding home would be heard moments before the professor opened the door, and he seemed confused. Perhaps, he had been expecting someone? He allowed her in any way opening the door wider for her to enter, and she would cross the threshold of his office. When he made mention of sweets, she smiled politely, never having been one for sweets on usual occasions, but today was not typical, and she did like macaroons. “Thank you very much.” She would reach into the container and take one without really noticing what they looked like.
While taking a bite of the macaroon, she would find somewhere to sit, assuming there was probably a seat placed on the guest side of his desk; that would be the one she would choose while setting her green leaf book bag on the ground. She seemed to chew thoughtfully, biding time to think about what she wanted to say; why was she even here? Her eyes found her feet. She should leave; she should run. He would kill her too if he knew what she was, but he didn’t know that she was dangerous, shattered, broken…
Thomas She missed him so much. He was the only one San really felt like she could talk to, the only one she could trust, and even then, she was about to tell him to stay away. Just as soon as she could bring herself to write to him again that wasn’t with the homework assignments, she was already sending him. She felt like she had lost him, didn’t deserve him or his friendship, didn’t deserve the strength he was always giving her, and now San was losing herself, and she was holding onto a half-eaten macaroon that was actually very tasty, and she couldn’t even bring herself to tell the professor, who was probably really confused, that she thought so.
Tears welled up in her eyes as her body stiffened, clenching every muscle to try and stop the tears from coming through, but she just couldn’t. Tears would stream down her cheeks as she stared at the cookie. “I- I am sorry. I should g- go.” Her voice quivered as she reached for the strap of her bag.

It was not every day that Orion's students showed up at his office door, when for the occasions that they did he had a good stock of sweets for them to munch on. Unless he got to them first, that was. Santario had selected to take a seat on the dark oak wing-backed armchair that faced his own matching desk. The back had been upholstered with soft forest green material. He took a seat behind the desk and folded his hands, placing them onto the smooth wooden surface.
He intended on allowing Miss Martin to speak first, but it seemed she had been gripped with silence. His blue eyes calmly took in her features, noting that despite her usual masked expression she seemed to be battling with something internally. Perhaps the girl had arrived at his office to ask about her parents? Whatever it may be, he would give her a moment to collect herself.
Or he meant to, until she started to cry. His heart wrenched at the sight, and a small frown tugged at his lips. "Miss Martin..." He would reach a hand forward to try and gently set it on her arm in an attempt to halt her. "Please do not leave. It's okay to cry; this is a safe space, you can take as long as you need." He tried to offer her a small smile, pulling back to reach into his pocket and pass her an sea foam green silk handkerchief that had been embroidered with his initials. If she didn't accept it, he would lay it on the desk in front of her. "You can tell me as much or as little as you want. I hope you know that it is not only my job to teach you, but to protect you as well. It is a part of my job that I do not take lightly."
